In the second week of June 2024 there is a possibility of some unseasonal rainfall in the northern states of India due to the conjunction of five planets in Taurus sign. Out of these five planets 4 are in Rohini Nakshatra which falls under “Pawan Nadi” ruled by the Sun in Sapta Nadi Chakra. This combination can give disastrous flash floods in the hilly areas of North India especially in Uttarakhand. There will be losses of lives and properties in Bihar, Jharkhand, parts of West Bengal and Eastern Uttar Pradesh due to lightening, storm and unseasonal rainfall.
An earthquake is also likely in the month of June, especially around the New Moon, in the area of North and Eastern parts of the country. Five planets (the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter) are in earthy sign Taurus. Saturn and Mars are in earthy Navamsha Taurus. The luminaries (Sun and Moon) are in watery Navamsha Cancer shows these natural calamities.
Since Rohini Nakshatra in Koorma Chakra comes under the central parts of India so there will be an early onset of monsoon in states of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra this year. The Mumbai, Raipur, Bhopal and Nagpur may receive very good rainfall during 7th of June to the 21st of June.

This year the Sun will enter into Ardra Nakshatra (asterism) on the day of Full Moon i.e. Purnima which is considered very auspicious as per the classical text Varsha Prabodha. The week day lord (Vaar Swami) is Venus as the Ardra Pravesh is occurring on Friday. Venus is the watery planet as per the classical texts of astro-meteorology. The day lord, yoga and Karana are all very auspicious. However, at the time of Ardra Pravesh the Moon is in Moola Nakshatra which as per Varsha Prabodha gives disease and fear to men’s and also the weakness. Because of the heavy rainfall there will be spread of viral fever in some parts of the country during monsoon season.
- The rising sign at the time of Sun’s entry into Ardra Nakshtra is Pisces which is 100% watery sign. The benefic planets Mercury, Venus and the Moon are in Kendra from the lagna and also the Sun which shows sufficient rainfall as per the long period average in the country. The Navamsha is Cancer which also a full watery sign.
- Jupiter is behind the Sun which as per Bhavishya Phala Bhaskar is a very good yoga for the rainfall. Venus and Mercury are ahead of the Sun which is another auspicious yoga for the bountiful rainfall.
- However, the lagna is in Paap Kartari Yoga in both Rashi and Navamsha of the Ardra Pravesh chart. This yoga can give destruction to the crops in the initial stages of sowing particularly in southern states of the country during the month of June. Southern and central states can get excess rainfall during the month of June.
- Mars will remain behind the Sun throughout the monsoon season (June-September). There will be around 95% to 100% of rainfall foreseen as per the long period average (LPA) . In year 2022 the LPA for the south-west monsoon season (June-September) has been revised to 868.8 mm based on the data from 1971 to 2020.
- Monsoon may reach UP and Delhi-NCR early The official date for the onset of monsoon in eastern Uttar Pradesh is 20th of June, in western Uttar Pradesh it is 25th and in Delhi-NCR it is 1st of July. This year the south-west monsoon may drench this region a bit early which will be good for the farmers of Uttar Pradesh in particular. In the last week of June around 28th and 29th there will be very good rainfall in the western Uttar Pradesh. Delhi-NCR may also receive good rainfall around this time. Mercury will enter into watery sign Cancer on the 29th of June will bring very good rainfall in the Delhi-NCR region during the first week of June month.
