In Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra “Vishesh Dhana Yoga Adhyay’ chapter number 42 there are 34 Sloka’s in which various astrological combination for generating wealth has been discussed in length. Also, the Chandra Yoga Adhyay chapter number 38 of the same text gives some good Dhana Yoga’s from the Chandra Kundali i.e. Moon chart. In the Sloka number 13 of Chandra Yoga Adhyay Sage Parashara clearly mentioned that yoga’s from the Chandra Kundali have to be seen first.

Below given are some of the major Dhana Yoga’s from both the above-mentioned chapters of Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra.
- If the birth of native take place during the day time and the Moon is in own or in her friendly Navamsha , and getting the aspect of Jupiter then native is happy and very rich in life. Similarly, if the birth take place at the night time and the Moon is in own Navamsha or is placed its friendly planet’s Navamsha, and it receive the aspect by Venus in the Rashi chart then also native become very rich and prosperous in life as per the Chandra Yoga Adhyay.
- If there should be all the benefic planets placed in the Upachaya (3, 6, 10 and 11) houses from the Moon then person born will be very rich.
- The benefic planets in the 2nd and 12th from the Moon make a good Durdhara Yoga which also make a native very rich.
- As per the Vishesha Dhaha Yoga Adhyay (chapter number 42 of Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra) if the 5th house in birth chart has the sign of Venus (Taurus or Libra) along with Venus placed in it, and the Mars as the 11th lord is in own sign then a good Dhana Yoga is formed.
- Similarly, the 5th house has Mercury in its own sign (Gemini or Virgo) and the 11th house has the Moon, Mars and Jupiter then also a big Dhana Yoga is formed.
- Other Dhana Yoga’s are also formed in the same way like 5th house having Saturn in the Capricorn and the Moon is in the 11th in her own sign Cancer, the 5th house having Saturn in Aquarius and the Sun is in the 11th house in own sign in Leo. The 5th house having Jupiter in its own sign in Sagittarius or Pisces and we have Mercury in the opposition 11th house in own sign in Gemini or Virgo. Mars is in the 5th house in Aries or Scorpio in opposition with Venus in her own sign in Libra or Taurus.
The noticeable point here is that Sage Parashara has given good importance to the lord of 5th house and the 11th house placed in their own houses for the formation of the best possible Dhana Yoga. Also, in the same chapter Sage Parashara has given 7 other Dhana Yoga’s in which the lagna lord is in own sign and it get the aspect by the 5th lord and the 9th lord both.
In the Sloka number 16th and 17th of the Vishesha Dhana Yoga Adhyay Sage Parashara has mentioned that the 5th lord and the 9th lord are both wealth producing planets. The Dasha of these planets and the planets which are associated with them or getting the aspect of both these also give good prosperity during their respective Dasha periods. The Sage Parashara also instruct us that one should judge the nature of natural malefic and benefic to predict the gains will come from the honest means or through corrupt manners as for the planets involve in Dhana Yoga’s.
A simple method to judge Dhana Yoga’s
My teacher Shri K.N. Rao has given a simple method to judge the Dhana Yoga’s in a horoscope in his famous book ‘Astrology Destiny and the Wheel of Time’. As per Shri K.N. Rao the connection between the lagna, 5th, 9th, 2nd and 11th houses/lords through position, aspect or conjunction produce good Dhana Yoga’s. These yoga’s should be seen in both Rashi and Navamsha. Apart from this the Moon and Venus also make a good Dhana Yoga especially if they are in 3/11 from each other or in Kendra or Kona in a strong position in the horoscope.

Mukesh Ambani’s daughter Isha Ambani lead’s Reliance Retails and her net worth is $100 million (Rs. 831/- crore approximately). Isha Ambani’s Twin brother Akash Ambani is the chairman of Reliance Jio Infocom Ltd. And his net worth is $40.1 billion (Rs. 3,33,313.00 crores). The youngest son of Mukesh Amani is Anant Ambani leads the energy business of Reliance Industries who’s net worth is $40 billion (Rs. 3,32,432.00 crores).
Now let’s study the horoscopes of Ambani family’s member’s one by one to see the Parashari Dhana Yoga’s operating in them.
Chart 1. Horoscope of Dhirubhai Ambani
28 December 1932, 06:37 a.m. at Verval, Gujarat
The Sagittarius lagna birth chart (Chart 1) is of the founder of Reliance Industries late Dhirubhai Ambani. In his late 20’s he was working in a gas station at Aden, Yeman and then decided to return back to India in Mumbai to start a business of his own in 1958. With a small investment of Rs. 500/- then he grew it very big worth $15 billion (Rs. 75,000/- crores then) when he died on 6th of July 2002. In his Sagittarius lagna birth chart the lagna lord Jupiter aspect the 2nd house (wealth) and also the 2nd lord Saturn from the 10th house of career. This is a big Dhana Yoga from both the lagna and the Moon.
The 5th lord Mars is placed in the 9th house and the 9th lord the Sun is in the lagna. So, the Lakshmi Sthana’s (trines) are inter-connected. The 5th lord Mars aspect the 11th lord Venus from the 9th house is another Dhana Yoga. The connection between the 5th and 11th houses/lords is the best possible Dhana Yoga as per the Sage Parashara.
He started growing big during Maha Dasha of Rahu from April 1964 to April 1982. Rahu is strong in the 3rd house and its dispositor Saturn is in good Dhana Yoga in Rashi chart. In Navamsha Rahu’s depositor is Jupiter which is also involve in a good Dhana Yoga. Jupiter is 9th lord in the Navamsha and it is in mutual aspect with the 5th lord the Sun producing a good Dhana Yoga. It was no surprise that in Maha Dasha of Jupiter (April 1982 to April 1998) Dhirubhai Ambani’s Reliance Industries become the biggest company in India.
In 1976-77, the Reliance group had an annual turnover of Rs 70 crore. Fifteen years later, this figure had jumped to Rs 3,000 crore. By the turn of the century, this amount had skyrocketed to Rs 60,000 crore. All this happen during the Maha Dasha periods of Rahu and Jupiter respectively. Noticeable point in this chart is a strong ‘Durdhara Yoga’ in the Chandra Kundali as the 2nd and the 12th house from the Moon are occupied by strong planets.
Chart 2. Horoscope of Mukesh Ambani
19 April 1957, 19:47 hours at Aden, Yemen
Mukesh Ambani is the riches man in Asia. He is the chairman and managing director of reliance industries who’s wealth comes from diverse field such as energy sector, telecommunication, textile and retails etc. In the Libra lagna birth chart of Mukesh Ambani (chart 2) Saturn as the 5th lord is in the 2nd house of wealth in mutual aspect with the 2nd lord Mars. The 9th lord Mercury is in conjunction with the lagna lord Venus and the 11th lord the Sun. This is very strong Dhana Yoga in the birth chart of Mukesh Ambani. Thus lagna, 2nd, 5th, 9th and 11th all the 5 wealth giving houses are interconnected in the Rashi chart of Mukesh Ambani. The lagna, 5th and the 9th are Lakshmi Sathana, while the 2nd is the house of wealth and the 11th is the house of gains.
In the Navamsha chart the Gemini sign is rising where the 5th lord Venus is strongly placed. The 2nd and the 9th lord are the Moon and Saturn respectively which are in mutual opposition at 2/8 axis. Saturn is the natural karaka for oil industries and underground resources like minerals etc.
Interestingly, Mukesh Ambani has also made his major wealth in the Maha Dasha period of Rahu from August 2001 to August 2019. Rahu in the Rashi chart is in the lagna a Lakshmi Sathana in mutual aspect with the 11th lord the Sun, lagna lord Venus and the 9th lord Mercury. From the Moon Rahu is in the 11th house of gains. In Navamsha Rahu is in the 12th house in the sign of Venus who as Rahu’s depositor is strongly placed in the lagna. It was during the Maha Dasha of Rahu he transformed India’s telecommunication industry when he launched JIO in year 2016 which made mobile data widely accessible.
The Jupiter Maha Dasha and Venus Anter Dasha from July 2027 to March 2030 can give Mukesh Ambani sudden retirement after a serious illness. Jupiter is the lord of the 6th house (disease) and Venus the Anter Dasha lord taking the lordship of 8th house and lagna is deep combust by the 11th lord the Sun which is a functional malefic for the Tula lagna chart.
Chart 3. Horoscope of Nita Ambani
1 November 1963, 23:35 hours at Mumbai, Maharashtra
The Cancer lagna birth chart of Nita Ambani (chart 3) is a classical example of best possible Dhana Yoga. In her chart the 5th lord Mars is in the 5th house along with the 11th lord Venus. The conjunction, mutual aspect or sign exchange between the 5th lord and the 11th lord is the best possible Dhana Yoga as per Parashari system. Here the aspect of the 9th lord Jupiter makes this Dhana Yoga even more exceptional. Then the lagna lord the Moon is in mutual aspect with the 2nd lord the Sun is another Dhana Yoga in the birth chart of Nita Ambani.
In Navamsha the 2nd house of the lagna rises which is good. In Leo lagna Navamsha chart of Nita Ambani the 5th lord Jupiter is in the 5th house, lagna lord the Sun aspect the lagna and the 9th lord Mars aspect the 9th house. Thus, all the three Lakshmi Sathana’s are very powerful in her Navamsha chart which gave her a superrich husband. Then the lord of the 2nd (wealth) and 11th (gains) houses Mercury is getting powerful aspect of the 9th lord Mars which is another major Dhana Yoga in her Navamsha. When the Dhana Yoga’s or Raja Yoga’s in Rashi chart get stronger in Navamsha then they fructify to give their fullest results.
Nita Ambani was under the Maha Dasha of Rahu (March 2000 to March 2018) when her husband Mukesh Ambani inherited Reliance Industries and later become the richest man of Asia. Rahu is getting the aspect of Yogakaraka Mars in both Rashi and Navamsha chart’s. Rahu’s depositor is also very strong to give her enormous amount of wealth.
Chart 4. Horoscope of Anil Ambani
4 June 1959, 22:30 hours at Mumbai, Maharashtra
The Capricorn lagna chart (chart 4) given here is of Anil Ambani who is the younger brother of Mukesh Ambani. He got the inheritance of Reliance Capital, Reliance Infrastructure and Reliance Communication a few years after the demise of his father, and in year 2006 he created Reliance Group after separating from his brother’s Reliance Industries. At the peak of his career, he was the sixth richest person in the world in year 2008 then reaching at the net worth of $48 billion. The conjunction of the 5th lord Venus and 11th lord Mars in the Capricorn lagna chart of Anil Ambani is a very good Dhana Yoga. But notice here that the 5th lord Venus is in its enemy sign in Cancer. Also a functional malefic Jupiter (3rd and 12th lord) is giving aspect to this Dhana Yoga making it weak. Also, notice the close degree conjunction of the 6th lord (disputes and court cases) Mercury with the 8th lord (controversies) the Sun and the association of 7th lord (Maraka) the Moon is making a bad Yoga in the 5th house (a Lakshmi Sathana). If a ‘Maraka planet’ (2nd and/or 7th lord) associate itself in a Arishta Yoga then it creates devastating results as per a Parashari rule.
A Maha Dasha of Saturn (September 2014 to September 2033) brough the major downfall. Saturn falls in the 12th house of losses from the lagna and it is in unhelpful position of the 8th house from his natal Moon. Now in Saturn Maha Dasha and the Moon Anter Dasha from August 2025 to March 2027 we can foresee more court cases and health issues for Anil Ambani.
Chart 5. Horoscope of Aakash Ambani
23 October 1991, 19:00 hours at Mumbai, Maharashtra
Akash Ambani is the chairman of the Reliance Jio Infocom a leading telecommunication and digital services provider company in India. He is the elder son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani. In Aries lagna chart of Aakash Ambani (chart 5) the Moon is getting the aspect of its sign lord Mars and also 3 other planets is a major Dhana Yoga. The 5th lord the Sun and the lagna lord Mars in conjunction is a good Dhana Yoga. The 2nd lord (wealth) Venus is in conjunction with the 9th lord Jupiter in the 5th house is a major Dhana Yoga.
The aspect of the 11th lord (gains) Saturn on the 5th lord the Sun and the lagna lord Mars is another Dhana Yoga. Like his father Mukesh Ambani (chart 2) Aakash Ambani also have strong connection of Lakshmi Sathana (1,5 and 9) with the 2nd (wealth) and the 11th (gains) houses/lords. This connection repeats to a large extent in his Navamsha chart.
In Navamsha of Aakash Ambani the Libra lagna is rising. The 5th lord Saturn is in conjunction with the 9th lord Mercury and they are in mutual aspect with the lagna lord Venus is a great Dhana Yoga. The 11th lord the Sun is strongly placed in the 2nd house is another Dhana Yoga. A very good Maha Dasha order of the Moon (January 2021 to January 2031), followed by Mars (January 2031 to January 2038) and then Rahu (January 2038 to January 1956) will make him one of the richest men in Asia like his father.
Chart 6. Isha Ambani
23 October 1991, 19:10 hours at Mumbai Maharashtra
Isha Ambani is the twin sister of Aakash Ambani. She is the director at Reliance Jio and Reliance Retail. Since she was born after 10 minutes of her brother Aakash Ambani so her Rashi chart is same but the Navamsha is different. A student of astrology can clearly notice that in Navamsha of Isha Ambani the Dhana Yoga’s have become weak. The 9th lord the Moon falls in the 8th house is a weakness here. She will not be as successful as her elder twin brother Aakash Ambani in future.
For younger Twin there is a special technique to study the Rashi chart. We take the 3rd house, here in this case it will be Gemini, and study the planetary configuration from it to access the prospects of the younger of the twin. From the 3rd house Gemini, the conjunction of the Sun, Mars and Mercury in the 5th house is a little weak Dhana Yoga for Isha Ambani.
Chart 7. Horoscope of Anant Ambani
10 April 1995, 23:00 hours at Mumbai, Maharashtra
Anant Ambani is the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani who lead’s Reliance energy business focusing on renewable and green energy. He is also founder of Vantara, an animal rescue and rehabilitation centre. His lavish marriage with Radhika Merchant in July 2024 was in news globally. A strong Jupiter in the Janma lagna giving aspect to lagna lord Mars, the Moon, the Sun and also Mercury makes him a very sincere, kind and extravagant personality.
In his Scorpio lagna chart the lagna lord Mars is placed in a Lakshmi Sathan in the 9th house along with the 9th lord the Moon getting the aspect of 5th lord Jupiter is a major Dhana Yoga. The Moon along with the 6th lord Mars is not good here. The aspect of Mars on the 4th house where Maraka Venus is placed along with the functional malefic Saturn is a yoga for Asthma. The Karakamasha lagna is Aquarius , and the 4th from it getting the Jaimini aspects of Rahu, Mars and the Moon is another yoga for serious Asthma.
His Dhana Yoga’s become weak in Navamsha where the 3rd and the 6th lord Jupiter is debilitated in the lagna Capricorn. The 7th lord the Moon is along with the 8th lord the Sun are in 2nd house (Maraka Bhava) getting the 10th aspect of Saturn is a yoga for ill-health in Navamsha chart of Anant Ambani. His Maha Dasha of 7th lord Venus (April 2004 to April 2028) is also not good for health. The horoscope of Anant Ambani has a smaller number of Dhana Yoga’s when we compare it with his elder brother Aakash Ambani.
