Dasha Chiddra is the final sub-period (Anter Dasha) in the major period (Maha Dasha) of a planet which is known to bring a transformation in life, which can be good or bad depending upon the position of the Anter Dasha lord with respect to the Janma lagna and also from the Maha Dasha. In making a delineation of the Dasha results about 14 parameters have to be studied which are lucidly outlined in the classical text Jataka Tattwam’s ‘Dasha Vivek Adhya’ and by many other authorities. The horoscope we are taking in this article to explain this concept is of Mr. Ajit Kumar Doval who is the longest serving ‘National Security Advisor’ (NSA) of India since 2014. Earlier he had an illustrious career in Intelligence Bureau (IB) for about 33 long years. Police and Intelligence Officer Career (1968 to 2005)
Ajit Doval was selected for IPS (Indian Police Services) in year 1968 in Venus Maha Dasha and Saturn Anter Dasha in Vimshottari. Both Venus and Saturn are karaka for his Gemini lagna horoscope. In early years of his career he had hard posting in the Maha Dasha of the Sun (1972 to 1978) in the area of North East to tackle the insurgency specifically in Mizoram then. The Sun as the lord of the 7th house in Navamsha got him married also in 1972.
The Moon Dasha (June 1978 to June 1988) he worked in Indian High Commission in Pakistan and also did undercover roles to gather some information as per his own account in various lectures. The Moon as we have discussed is in good Gaja Kesari Yoga.

As National Security Advisor
He came into prominence again when BJP government came back into power in 2014. He was appointed as National Security Advisor on 30th of May 2014. During his role as a National Security Advisor he is widely credited for the doctrinal shift in Indian national security policy in relation to Pakistan. Saturn’s unfavorable transit and Dasha-Chiddra
Now the transiting Saturn is moving into the 10th house of career in the birth chart of Ajit Doval. Saturn as the 8th and 9th lord in the 10th house will give him mix results for the time being , and some bad one also as it will move closer to the degrees of his natal Moon in Revati Nakshatra early next year. When the 8th lord transit at the 10th house some hidden mistakes and controversial things about the native can also come out in the public. The Anter Dasha of Rahu will start from 31st of January which is ‘Dasha-Chidra’ period in the major Dasha of Jupiter. The transiting Rahu moving into Capricorn will be in the 8th house from his Janma lagna and over his natal Sun-Gulika conjunction can be bad for him.
In Jupiter Dasha and Rahu Bhukti he may have to take retirement from his career in a sudden and very surprise manner anytime before the end of 2027.
Dwi-Janma Lagna Annual Horoscope of Ajit Doval
In the annual horoscope of Ajit Doval for completed year 82 the Gemini lagna is rising which is the sign of his Janma lagna making it enigmatic ‘Dwi-Janma-lagna’ Varshaphala. In Mandooka Dasha the Rashi Dasha of Scorpio and Anter Dasha of Capricorn will run from January 2027 to January 2028. And the Anter Dasha Rashi Capricorn is the 8th house of his Janma lagna where Ganatikaraka the Sun is placed along with Gulika.
