Zohran Mamdani – the rising star on the US political scene

A very interesting New York State Mayor elections is schedule to take place on the 4th of November 2025. Ever since Democratic party leader Zohran Mamdani has become his party’s nominee for the New York State Mayor elections the hardliner Republican party has been attaching him consistently. The outspoken US President Donald Trump has referred to him as a ‘communist’ for his promises of various   freebies during his election campaign. Zohran Mamdani’s horoscope is very promising due to the presence of strong Saturn (democracy) and the Moon (public opinion) in the Kendra (quadrant)  houses of Rashi, Navamsha and Dashamasa. As per my teacher Shri K.N. Rao Saturn, the planet of democracy if make a strong connect with the Moon (Public opinion) then a native can get huge success in politics under a good Maha Dasha.

As per the Scorpio lagna birth chart of Curtis Silva (26 March 1954, 23:27 hours at Brooklyn, New York, USA) the Maha Dasha of Jupiter is running. Jupiter is placed in the 7th house in Taurus in its enemy sign. Mars is in the Janma lagna in own sign making a classical Unmaad Yoga with Jupiter as they are at 1/7 axis from each other. As per the old text Jataka Tattwam if the Jupiter and Mars should be at 1/7 axis from the lagna or they are at 5/11 axis from the lagna then an Unmaada Yoga is formed which can give native trouble due to mood swings or irrational behavior.

In the birth chart o Curtis Silva the Maha Dasha of Jupiter and the Anter Dasha of Ketu is running which is not favorable as the Anter Dasha lord Ketu falls in the 8th house in both Rashi and Navamsha showing failure  in his endeavor.

Zohran Mamdani is the son of a Ugandan academic, author and professor of political science Mahmood Mamdani. His mother is famous Indian film maker Mira Nair. He was born in Uganda and later family migrated to South Africa when he was 5 years old. His family later settle in New York City when he was 7 years old. In the Cancer lagna birth chart the lord of the 3rd (movement) and 12th (foreign land) is Mercury which is placed in the 4th house is a yoga that made him get the citizenship of foreign country far away from his birth place. The close conjunction of 4th lord (mother) Venus and the 9th lord (father)  Jupiter in the royal sign Leo gave him birth in the family of famous parents. But since his chart has all the planets, except Rahu and Ketu, in the 3 signs only so it forms a ‘Shoola Yoga’. He has been attacked by his political opponent for his Muslim faith and citizenship issues.

In the Cancer lagna birth chart of Mamdani the lagna lord the Moon is in the 7th house of public fame. The aspect of Yogakaraka, 10th and the 5th lord, Mars on the Moon is a major Raja Yoga here. As per the Jaimini system the Atamakaraka is the Moon which is in Leo Navamsha. The Karakamsha lagna is Leo where Jupiter and Venus, two natural benefic planets, are placed. The 10th house from the Karakamsha lagna get the Jaimini aspect of the Sun, Mars, Mercury, Saturn and the Moon.

The noticeable point in his chart is placement of Amatayakaraka Venus in the Karakamsha lagna Leo and the Jaimini aspect of the Atamakaraka the Moon on it. The Putrakaraka and 5th lord Mars also aspect the Amatayakaraka Venus in Leo which is also a great Jaimini Yoga. Also, the Jaimini aspect of Mercury and Saturn on the 10th house from Karakamsha lagna is a yoga for getting fame.

In Navamsha chart the Atamakaraka the Moon and Amatayakaraka Venus are both in the lagna which is also a major Raja Yoga.

It was no surprise that in year 2020 Zohran Mamdani got elected to the New York State assembly defeating 4 time incumbent leader. He also got re-elected easily in year 2022 and 2024. All this happen in the Maha Dasha of 9th lord (luck) Jupiter which is in the 2nd house (finance) and is along with 11th lord (gains) Venus making a great Dhana Yoga.

A long and bright political career foreseen for Mamdani

In the horoscope of Zohran Mamdani the most important yoga for success in political career is the Kendra position of Saturn and the Moon. In political astrology the Saturn signify democracy and the Moon is public opinion. If these two planets are strong in the horoscope and are placed in Kendra (quadrant) and Kona (trine) from each other then they can give a good rise to the native in a political career. This yoga needs to be studied in Rashi, Navamsha and also in Dashamasha.

In the horoscope of Zohran Mamdani Saturn and the Moon both are in Kendra from each other in Rashi, Navamsha and also in Dashamasha. At present he is under Jupiter Maha Dasha Venus Anter Dasha and Jupiter Pratyanter Dasha from  14th of July 2025 to 21 November 2025. As we have discuss above that Jupiter and Venus are making a good Dhana Yoga in Rashi chart. In Dashamasha Jupiter is the lord of the 11th house of gains and is with Venus which is lagna lord. This yoga can give him success in the New York Mayor election on 4th of November 2025.

After becoming new New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s status will rise in his Democratic Party. In his birth chart Rahu is strongly place in the 6th house getting the aspect of Jupiter which is a ‘Ashta Lakshmi Yoga’. This yoga will give him more fame and success over his enemies during Jupiter Dasha and Rahu Anter Dasha from November 2029 to April 2032. Later the 19 year long Maha Dasha of Saturn (from April 2032 to April 2051) will give him post of minister on many occasion and he will among the all time famous politician of the world.

Assembly Elections in Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory 2024- An astrological analysis

In December last year, a five-judge constitutional bench of the Supreme Court upheld the central government’s decision to remove Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and also directed the Election Commission to conduct assembly elections in the state by 30th of  September 2024. In my blog post written on 27th of April 2022 written with title ‘Horoscope of Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory’ i had forecast that a ‘process of election in Jammu & Kashmir’ will start in year 2023 or 2024 when the transiting Saturn would be in Aquarius which is the 4th house of the horoscope of Jammu & Kashmir. Now, recently, the Election Commission has announced to conduct elections in Jammu and Kashmir state in three phases from 18 September to 1 October, which has intensified political activities in the state. Former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah’s party National Conference have joined hands with Congress in the state and agreed on the division of seats to contest the elections.

The last elections in Jammu and Kashmir were held in November-December 2014 when Mehbooba Mufti’s PDP won the maximum 28 seats and BJP took a very shocking decision and formed a coalition government with PDP, which had a soft stance towards separatism. As anticipated this odd political marriage between BJP and PDP fell apart  in June 2018 due to internal contradictions. Balance of Dasha in Vimshottari: Mercury 15 years 6 months and 7 days

After the abrogation of article 370 from Jammu & Kashmir the state was reorganized into a Union Territory. There has also been decline in the organized shut down of markets and stone pelting incident in the last few years. In the Cancer lagna horoscope of Jammu & Kashmir union territory (chart 1) all the 4 natural benefic planets Venus, Mercury and Jupiter are in the 5th house. I have not counted the Moon among the benefic as it is of Shukla Tritiya only. The position of three major benefic planets in the 5th house is good for the policy making for the state and it is also very good for the economy. The ruling BJP government at the center has already initiated many new developments scheme for the Jammu & Kashmir which will benefit its economy in the future.

In the Vimshottari Dasha of Mercury and Anter Dasha of the Sun the assembly elections in the Jammu & Kashmir state will take place. The Mercury as the lord of the 8th and 11th houses is strong. But the Sun being the 2nd lord is debilitated in the 4th house is weak in Shada Bala as it gets only 5.44 Rupas of Bala. The ‘Kashta Phala of the Sun’ is more than its ‘Ishta Phala’ in Shada Bala system so during the Anter Dasha of the Sun from 1st of August 2024 to 7 June 2025 there will be lots of political disturbances in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. In the Navamsha chart the Sun is afflicted by the aspect of Mars also indicate a terrorist attack which may happen in the month of August or early September just a few days before the assembly elections. There are chances for the hung assembly as the Sun the Anter Dasha lord is weak in the 4th house. Many separatist leaders will fight elections from the Kashmir Valley and some of them will get astonishing success also.

Balance of Dasha in Vimshottari : Ketu 3 Years 5 Months and 22 Days

Omar Abdullah was born on 10 March 1970 at 6:58 pm in the city of Roche, England. His father Farooq Abdullah was elected Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir thrice and was also a Union Minister in the Central Government twice. In Omar Abdullah’s Leo ascendant birth chart, the ninth lord Mars in the ninth house of the father is forming a good ‘Neech Bhang Rajyoga’ with debilitated Saturn in  Aries. On the strength of this combination, Omar Abdullah carried forward his father’s political legacy and became a Union Minister in the Atal Bihari government at the Center between 2001 and 2002. Later, Omar Abdullah was also the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir from 2009 to 2014, but his tenure in the  state is known for increasing incidents of stone-pelting and protests.

Currently, the Vinshottari Dasha of Rahu and Anter Dasha of Mercury  will run from 15 August 2024 to 5 March 2027. Rahu is in the seventh house in Omar Abdullah’s horoscope where the conjunction of lagna lord the  Sun with Mercury, the lord of the second (Dhan) and eleventh (Labha) houses, is creating a big Dhan Yog. This combination of Sun, Mercury and Rahu in the seventh house of partnership is giving astrological indications for  Omar Abdullah that he may once again form a coalition government in the state with his ally Congress. In the Navamsha horoscope, Rahu is placed in the 4th  house of the throne of the ruler and Mercury being in the 3rd house of valor  can provide Omar Abdullah with an opportunity to sit on the chair of Chief Minister after the elections.

As per Jaimini Chara Dasha the Pisces-Libra period from 8th of September 2024 to 7th of February 2025 is showing the time for getting a high position of power. The Libra sign has his Matriakraka Jupiter in it and it get the Jaimini aspect of Atamakaraka the Sun and Amatayakaraka Mercury.

The 10th Pada is in Capricorn which is the 4th house from Libra. Since Amatayakaraka Mercury is Vargottama in fixed sign Aquarius so its aspect the movable sign Libra in both Rashi and Navamsha. Thus, Omar Abdullah can come back into the power any time after the results of the assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir state this year.

 

Venus Dasha of Naveen Patnaik and Odisha Assembly Elections 2024

Naveen Patnaik, who became the Chief Minister of Odisha for the first time in March 2000, has been in power in the state for the last 24 years by winning five consecutive assembly elections. Initially, by staying in NDA and getting the support of Bharatiya Janata Party, Naveen Patnaik first joined Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government. He served as a minister at the Center and later became the Chief Minister of the state. In 2009, Naveen Patnaik separated from the BJP-led NDA and single-handedly defeated the opposition in Odisha by leading his party Biju Janata Dal to major victories in several elections.  Let us know from the horoscope of Naveen Patnaik whether he will be able to fulfill his dream of becoming the Chief Minister for the sixth consecutive time?

The Cancer lagna horoscope (chart 1) given here is of the Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik who is at the helm of affairs since March 2000. Naveen Patnaik is one of the longest serving chief minister of any Indian state. His father Biju Patnaik was also the chief minister of Odisha. The 7th lord Saturn is in own Nakshatra and then there is a conjunction of Saturn and the Moon in Navamsha  which kept him unmarried. Now the Maha Dasha  of Venus starting on the 4th of April this year can get him re-elected  as the chief minister again as Venus is involve in a good Parivartan Yoga with the 5th lord Mars. But since Venus is badly placed in the 8th house of Navamsha  and in the 12th of Dashamsha  so this time the strength of his party can reduce in the assembly and he will also face some serious health issues in coming years.  The Dasha  and Anter Dasha of Venus in the 5th house can also make him announce his political heir in the next couple of years.

In the Jaimini system the Chara Dasha  of Leo and Anter Dasha of Taurus would be running in the horoscope of Naveen Patnaik at the time of assembly polls. Both Leo and Taurus sign are fixed sign which get the Jaimini aspect Amatayakaraka Mars and Putrakaraka Jupiter placed in the movable sign which is a good Raja Yoga indicating his re-election as the chief minister again.

The Raja Yoga of Jupiter in mutual aspect with the 4th lord the Moon and lagna lord Mars placed in the 7th house is a good indication for the victory of Naveen Patnaik in the Odisha assembly elections in 2024 as per this annual horoscope.

Bandhan Yoga in the horoscope of Hemant Soren

In the Chapter number 14th of the Prashna Marga some yoga’s for imprisonment or Bandhan Yoga’s have been given. One such yoga in stanza number 112 says that if Saturn is placed in the 5th, 9th, 4th, 8th or in the 7th house in a sign of malefic and is associated by malefic then it can give imprisonment. The duration of imprisonment depend upon the placement of planet causing Bandhan Yoga in the fixed, dual or movable signs. The Jharkhand Chief minister Hemant Soren has this Bandhan Yoga mentioned in the Prashna Marga in his Dhanu (Sagittarius) lagna birth chart. In the horoscope of Hemant Soren Saturn is in the 8th house in conjunction with the Sun which is in the Sarpa Dreskkan. Hemant Soren is facing a lurking danger of his arrest in a alleged purchased and sale of a tribal land by forging documents during 2020 to 2022. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has conducted raids recently on his South-Delhi and Ranch based homes to confiscate large amount of cash, documents and a luxury car.

Hemant Soren was born in Nemara village in Ramgarh district of Jharkhand which is a tribal area. He was born couple of hours before Sun set as per the information i got from my sources so i fixed Sagittarius lagna at 16:00 hours for him. He took admission in the mechanical engineering course but was not able to complete his studies as we can see in Sagittarius lagna chart Saturn from the 8th house aspect the 5th house of education and the 5th lord Mars falls in the 6th house showing this break in higher education.

On the contrary Hemant Soren has an image of a soft leader which we can see from the Vargottama Jupiter giving aspect to his Janma lagna. Apart from this 5th lord Mars also aspect his Janma lagan making him an intelligent ruler.

Hemant Soren’s Marriage and Personal life 

Hemant Soren married bit late considering the tribal   background from which he comes getting married at the age of 31 for a men is a case of delayed marriage. See the ‘Paap Kartari Yoga’ across the 7th house of Janma lagna. Mars and Ketu are in the 6th house and Sun-Saturn in the 8th house flanking the 7th house of spouse. In Navamsha we have Moon in the 7th along with malefic Sun, Mars and Ketu. He got married on 6th of February 2006 when he was passing through Rahu-Ketu period in Vimshottari. Rahu and Ketu are covering the 1/7 axis of his Navamsha chart. He had two sons from his wife Kalpana.

Hemant Soren had become the chief minister for the first time in July 2013 during Jupiter-Jupiter dasha in Vimshottari. He lost his position in Jupiter-Saturn dasha during December 2014. Saturn is in the 8th house of humiliation. In Navamsha Saturn falls in the 12th house of losses.

Noticeable point in Hemant Soren’s chart is that Sun is in Sarpa Dreshkkan. Sun as the lord of 9th house and karaka for father going into the 8th house in Sarpa Dreshkkan explains a controversial political career of his father. Jupiter Maha Dasha and Sun Anter Dasha is til 3rd of March 2024 is showing a clear danger to his position as the chief minister now. Sun is in the 8th house from the Janma lagna is conjoined with malefic planets in Rashi and Navamsha. In his chart Rahu in the 12th house in Sarpa Dreshkkan is a yoga for imprisonment. He may get arrested by ED (Enforcement Directorate ) in coming days though his government will survive. A strong 7th lord Mercury in the 9th house getting the aspect of Jupiter indicate that his wife may take the responsibility of the chief minister of the state in his place. He had become the chief minister of the Jharkhand in December 2019 during his Jupiter Dasha and Ketu Anter Dasha. Now in Jupiter-Sun, which is till 3rd of March 2024, he is facing the toughest time in his political career.
Jupiter is in the 5th house which is 8th from the 10th house of career. The Anter Dasha lord the Sun is in the 8th house from the Janma lagna. The Dasha period of Jupiter-Sun from May 2023 to March 2024 has given him all sorts of troubles from the central investigating agencies and now he is on the verge of getting arrested. The opposition parties in India had moved to Supreme Court of India in July 2023 alleging that 95% of cases registered by ED against political persons are against the opposition leaders only since Mr. Modi has came into power in 2014.
Now coming back to the horoscope of Hemant Soren the next Vimshottari Dasha of Jupiter and Anter Dasha of the Moon from March 2024 to July 2025 will not be good for his career as he may not win the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections in November 2024. The Moon as the lord of 8th house is in the 10th house of career and it is making a 6/8 relation with the Maha Dasha lord Jupiter. In Navamsha the Moon is afflicted by the hard malefic planets so it don’t show much success for him.
