Forecasting Trends of the Summer Season in 2020

April 4, 2020 By Sachin Malhotra

The winter season in year 2019-20 was very sever for India and the world. About which i had foretasted last year in blog post “Solar Minimum and Forecasting Trends for the winter season 2019-20”   In that blog post i had discuss the concept of ‘Sun Spots’ and its effects as per the classical text of the 5th century AD Brihat Samhita. Due to the low Sun Spot or Solar Minimum cycle the winter season was rainy and extremely cold in Northern Hemisphere. In the Southern Hemisphere Australia had extremely devastating wild fire which killed millions of animals and other species. During winter season a solar  eclipse had fallen on 26 of December 2019 with 5 planets in Sagittarius along with Ketu the Karaka of ‘Sookshma Jeeva’. Sun, Mercury, Moon, Jupiter, Venus and Ketu were together in Sagittarius sign at the time of that eclipse. That eclipse had fallen in the Moola Nakshtra of Ketu and immediately after it a viral disease (COVID-19) become a global Pandemic. Earlier Jupiter (Jeeva Shakti or Life force) was afflicted in Sagittarius with Ketu and Saturn.

Now during this summer season Saturn and Jupiter will remain in ‘Uttara Ashadha’ Nakshtra in Makar Rashi which as per the texts of astro-meteorology is a watery sign. So summer season will be moderate only in Indian subcontinent. In the month of April Mars, Saturn and Jupiter together in ‘Uttara-Ashadha’ Nakshtra can bring an earthquake of moderate nature  in the North-West direction of India and also in Pakistan. The Indian sub continent will largely be safe from the corona virus epidemic and after 26th of April when Sun-Mercury will conjoin in Aries India will start getting relief from the  corona outbreak. I had also discuss this in my article ” Planets and Fear Psychosis of Corona Virus” posted on 5th of March that this disease will not give much deaths in India as compare to Western countries. The hot and humid weather in the month of May will start giving much needed relief from corona outbreak in both India and Pakistan. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will also be safe.

But in USA and Europe corona outbreak will remain a  concern until Ketu leave ‘Moola Nakshtra’ in the first week of September. Even after controlling corona virus in the mid of summer some cases may keep coming in these countries till the end of August which could become a concern. Since Saturn and Jupiter are going to get retrograde in Capricorn (Makar Rashi) in the mid of May so summer season in USA and Europe will be moderate only. In the southern hemisphere  Australia, South Africa and South-America there will be cold and rainy winter season. The rainfall during winter in southern hemisphere countries will be above normal for the season.

Full Moon horoscope

corona virus astrology

In the summer season in India the April is the hottest month for southern and western states whereas in the northern states May is the hottest month. This year however April may not be as hot as compare to the last year for the southern and western states as the planetary position in Full Moon horoscope of 8th of April given here indicates. Venus in the ascendant of Full Moon chart under the aspect of watery planet Jupiter indicate a moderate summer during fortnight starting from 8th of April.

Noticeable point here is that Mercury and Sun are in a watery Rashi Pisces. Saturn, Jupiter and Mars are in watery Rashi Capricorn. Apart from this in Navamsha chart Jupiter, Mercury, Saturn and Venus are in watery signs. These planetary dispositions  will give normal temperature in the April month which is a good news especially for the people of  South India.

Heat Wave will increase after 25th of April due to Sun-Mercury conjunction

It has been observed that Mercury brings considerable changes in temperature during summers when it join Sun in the fiery sign Aries and in winters when it get conjoined with Sun in Sagittarius it then bring cold waves. From the position of Mercury we can predict the exact dates for the starting of hot waves in summer and clod waves in winters as per astro-meteorology principals. After 25th of April when Mercury will join Sun we will start getting much needed relief from corona outbreak all over the world more so in Indian sub continent. In south , central and western parts of the country there will be very hot temperature though it will not be above normal for the season.

corona virus astrology

In the Full Moon or Poornima Kundali of 7th of May the Mars is in Aquarius an airy sign giving aspect to the lagna. Moon is in Libra in mutual aspect with Sun and Mercury. Moon is getting the aspect of a dry planet Saturn. This will bring hot and dry winds breaking  records of many years  in the southern and central parts of India. The states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana and Orissa will experience above normal temperature during the month of May this year. However, the pre-monsoon activity will give relief from heat to Kerala and Tamil Nadu. In the North India we will get heat waves on some days but due to conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter in Makar Rashi summer will not be highly severe.

Timely onset of south-west monsoon is indicated in year 2020

New Moon Chart

corona virus astrology

The New Moon horoscope of 22nd of May indicate a timely onset of south-west monsoon in the Sri Lanka and later in Kerala in southern parts of India.

The planetary position in the New Moon or Amavasaya Kundali of 22nd of May is very interesting. The luminaries Sun and Moon are in Taurus along with two watery planets Venus and Mercury. These four planets get the aspects from Mars and Jupiter. It is an indication of very severe weather disturbances. There will be above normal pre-monsoon rains in the last week of May in southern states and also in south-east direction. The state of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh  and Orissa may experience above normal pre-monsoon rains after 22nd of May. There will be loss of lives and properties at some places due to thundershowers and wind storms. Mars is behind the Sun so south-west monsoon is likely to reach on its due date of 1st June in Kerala. In the month of June Punjab and Himachal Pradesh will see above normal pre-monsoon rains as Saturn and Jupiter in Makar Rashi gives indication for it. Makar or Capricorn signify the North-West part of India and also the Punjab province of Pakistan.

So in the summer season the hot waves are likely to come bit late in most part of the country. In south India it is only after 25th of April there will be severe hot temperature that will give trouble to the people. In North India the temperature in April will be moderate and in May it will be normal for the summer season. But in June there will be extreme heat wave conditions favorable for south-west monsoon rains in July month.

Solar Eclipse of 26 December 2019- What Stars Foretell for India ?

December 24, 2019 By Sachin Malhotra

The coming solar eclipse of 26th of December 2019 is very unique in terms of planetary position. At the time of this eclipse 5 planets Sun, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn will be conjoined with shadow planet Ketu (Moon’s south node). In Hindu Astrology Rahu and Ketu are shadow planets who affects Sun and Moon at the time of an eclipse. Interestingly on the 5th of February 1962 there was a solar eclipse in Capricorn (Makar Rashi) when all the 7 planets were with Ketu. The effects of that eclipse was tremendous on world politics; Cuba Missile Crisis between USA and Soviet Union almost led these nations at the brink of war. In 1962 India had to suffer a humiliating defeat by China in a major war. Now it is almost after 58 years such big solar eclipse is occurring which is likely to have a deep impact on the world politics and also on weather. The solar eclipse of 26th of December 2019 can put India and Pakistan at loggerhead in Kashmir. It can also bring at least two earthquakes; One in the Indian sub-continent and other in south-East Asia.

astrological predictions about solar eclipse 26 December 2019

Predictions for solar eclipse of 26th December 2019

At the time of Solar Eclipse of 26th of December the Sun and Moon will be in Sagittarius the 8th house of the foundation horoscope of India. A five planets conjunction in Sagittarius shows a war like situation, death of important leaders and a dangerous earthquake. Moola Nakshatra in Koorma Chakra shows west direction so an earthquake in the western part of India is possible. The Sagittarius also shows east direction which also shows a danger of tremors. Also notice the aspects of Mars and Saturn on the ascendant of the New Moon chart at the time of this solar eclipse which shows danger of violence which can affect Kashmir and some other parts with terrorist activities shocking the entire nation. In Navamsa Mars is in the 8th and Saturn in the 12th shows these losses. Notice the affliction to Mercury and Jupiter by Ketu and Saturn in fiery sign Sagittarius which shows trade wars, fall of stock market and global recession around the time of this solar eclipse. It has been observed that transit of Saturn-Jupiter in fiery signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) generally bring economic and food price crisis around the world. At the time of 2007-2008 global economic and food price crisis the Saturn was in Leo and Jupiter was in Sagittarius. Now this coming solar eclipse of 26th of December 2019 indicate the same kind of crisis for world economy and our food security.

Extreme cold wave foreseen  from last week of December 2019

At the time of solar eclipse  of 26th of December there will be a conjunction of five planets in one sign which is a yoga for extreme weather disturbances. Sun, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn would be in Sagittarius then. Mars will enter into watery sign Scorpio on the day of eclipse which will bring extremely heavy snow falls and avalanche in the Himalayan region of India. A fast moving  cold wave from the 26th of December onward will break the records of many decades of past winter seasons not only in India but in many other countries. There will also be some untimely rainfall in the Northern states like Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh around the time of solar eclipse of 26th of December.

At the time of solar eclipse Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, three major planets, will be in watery Navamshas. Mars and Jupiter are in Cancer sign in Navamsha. Saturn is in the Navamsha of Scorpio a full watery sign. In the Rashi chart Mars is in Scorpio and Venus is in Capricorn which is also considered a semi-watery sign in astro-meteorology. This again confirm the possibility of extremely heavy snowfall and blizzard immediately after the solar eclipse.

The cold wave will affect the most in eastern part of the world with countries like China, Japan, South and North Korea coming under the grip of record breaking cold wave. In the northern hemisphere the Australia will witness extremely hot summer with temperature crossing 48 degree Celsius mark on many occasions.

Two earthquakes foreseen after the solar eclipse of 26th of December 2019

At the time of this solar eclipse Sun and Moon are in airy Navamsha Gemini. There is a conjunction of major planets Saturn and Jupiter in Rashi chart. The luminaries in airy or earthy Navamsha and major planets in conjunction can give earthquake around the time of an eclipse. Moon and Mercury are also in the same Nakshtra in superior conjunction which also indicate a strong earthquake which could be more than 7.1 at rector scale giving tremors in large part of Indian sub-continent.

Astrological predictions about solar eclipse of 26th of December 2019

If we see the ‘Koorma Chakra’ cast at the time of solar eclipse we can find most of the planets placed in the west and north direction. So a strong earthquake and cyclone can come around the solar eclipse of 26th of December in the North and/or West direction which would give losses to lives and properties at very large scale.

Apart from this the east direction indicated by fiery sign Sagittarius also shows a danger of earthquake in Assam, Japan and China during the fortnight starting from 26th of December 2019.

Eclipse may affect health of these famous personalities

As per Brihat Samhita an eclipse in Dhanu Rashi (Sagittarius sign) affect the most to ministers, rulers of countries, army personals, doctors, sports persons, weapon merchants, technical professionals and big merchants. In the next 6 months these people are likely to get affected worst. Among the Indian politicians Rahu Gandhi having his natal Moon in Sagittarius may face court cases, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder   Singh with his Dhanu lagna horoscope and Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik having his Moon in Gemini will see serious health troubles. The Queen Elizabeth II of England born in Dhanu lagna may leave her throng in the next year due to the affect of this big solar eclipse. Tibetan religious leader Dalai Lama is likely to face serious health issues in next 6 months as he was born in Gemini lagna with this solar eclipse affecting his 7th house along with malefic Saturn-Mars Vimshottari dasha in operation.

West Bengal signifies by Gemini sign, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand signifies by Sagittarius sign and Nepal also will get affected badly by some natural calamity after this solar eclipse. Since at the time of this solar eclipse Jupiter is in own sign so the demand for gold will be low and so is its price. But because of Saturn and Sun in fiery sign there will be rise in the prices of food grains. In the next few months Iran-Iraq tension’s in the middle-east can bring rise in the prices of petrol and diesel in India.

Solar Minimum and Forecasting Trends for Winter Season 2019-2020

December 9, 2019 By Sachin Malhotra

It was in the 6th century AD when great Indian astrologer and astronomer Varahamihira had  discuss about Sun Spots in his monumental work ‘Brihat Samhita’. Varahamihira had used the word ‘Tamas-Keelak’ for the spots appearing on  Sun and explained  them in length in his work Brihat Samhita’s chapter number 3 ‘Aditya-Chaar-Adhayaa’ (Transit of Sun). Interestingly Indian astrologer’s knew about Sun Spots and its effects on weather when the westerners  didn’t even had learned if the Earth revolves around the Sun or not. The current solar minimum along with the coming solar eclipse of 26th of December is indicating a very cold and rainy winter season ahead. It has been observed that during the years of low Sun Spot activity Europe and USA experience rainy and damp winter season. The low Sun Spot activity can also bring very misty, rainy  and cold winter season in the Indian sub-continent this time.

But we must take note of it that Sun Spot activity and Eclipses plays the role of a catalyst. We should not make predictions only on the basis of occurring of  low or higher Sun Spot activity or Eclipses for say. These are few factors among many other in the astro-meteorology of Hindu’s which is an important party of ‘Medini Jyotish’ i.e. Mundane Astrology.

The transit of Venus ahead of Jupiter is a combination of untimely rains and hailstorms as per ‘Shukra-Chaar-Adhayaa’ of Brihat Samhita. This year Venus will be ahead of Jupiter during the entire winter season. Venus will move into Capricorn, a watery sign, on the 15th of December. It will come ahead of Jupiter which is in Sagittarius at present. Later on the 25th of December 2019 Mars will move into watery sign Scorpio which will bring cold wave in Europe and USA along with heavy snowfall. The months of January and February will bring less than normal temperature for the season and may even break the record of decades.

Horoscope of Sun’s entry into Sagittarius

Astrological predictions about winter season 2019-2020

At the time of Sun’s entry into Sagittarius Moon will be in mutual aspect with Venus which is combination for rain and snowfall activity. Mercury and Venus two watery planets are in watery sign Scorpio and Capricorn respectively. This is a clearest indication of a rainy winter season which will good for the farmers in Indian sub-continent.

Extreme cold wave likely from last week of December

The cold wave will affect the most in eastern part of the world with countries like China, Japan, South and North Korea coming under the grip of record breaking cold wave. In the northern hemisphere the Australia will witness extremely hot summer with temperature crossing 48 degree Celsius mark on many occasions.

January and February 2020 will be rainy and extremely cold

A superior conjunction of Sun-Mercury in the first fortnight of January 2020 will give extremely chilling winds in most parts of India. Apart from the North and Central India this year the cold wave will grip the western parts of the country including Gujarat and Maharashtra which will surprise meteorologist.

Horoscope of Sun’s entry into Capricorn

15 January 2020, 02:08 hours at Delhi

Astrological predictions about winter season 2020

See the horoscope cast for the Sun’s entry into Capricorn or Makar Rashi. Here Mars is in watery sign Scorpio promising blistering cold wave in Northern State of India which will break decade old records. The cold wave coming from the Himalayas of North are going to show their effect in the western parts also which will make Mumbai, Ahmadabad and Pune colder than the normal for the season.

Saturn will move into Capricorn on the 25th of January to join with Moon, Sun and Mercury which will bring light rains in many parts of the country then. There will be extremely heavy snow falls in the Himalayas around that time. Later in the first week of February transiting Venus and Mercury will be in Aquarius ahead of Sun which will bring more snowfall and give cold wave in the Northern states of the country. Venus moving into full watery sign Pisces on the 4th of February will bring some light rains in the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh.

On the New Moon of 23rd of February the Sun, Moon and Mars will be in watery Navamsha brining more snowfall and some light rains in the North. So during the winter season this year the snowfall and rains will be above normal which will be good for Rabi or winter crops in India.

Saturn-Ketu Conjunction and Forecasting North-East Monsoon in 2019

October 6, 2019 By Sachin Malhotra

The conjunction of Saturn and Ketu along with an enigmatic Ardra Pravesh horoscope has given a very erratic south-west monsoon season (June to September) this year in India. About this i had given a forecast in my article “Astrological Forecast for the south-west monsoon in 2019”  . I forecast  a dry and hot summer till 17th of July with less than normal rain and then after the lunar eclipse a situation of heavy flood in most part of the country. The south-west monsoon had arrived late and by the end of June it has 33% deficit. Later till the lunar eclipse of 17th of July the deficit in rain was about 20% but after the eclipse the rainfall improve as i had given forecast about. Now the Saturn-Ketu conjunction going strong in transit and other planetary factors are going to give a erratic ‘North-East’ monsoon which will bring troubles in southern-peninsular specially for the city of Chennai in the month of November.

The transiting Mars will be behind the Sun during the entire North-East monsoon season (October to December) and Jupiter will have its conjunction with benefic Venus and Mercury which will give excess rain during November month. North-East monsoon blows from the land towards the sea. It is actually  the withdrawing south-west monsoon clouds that gives rain in the southern part of India. The state of Tamil Nadu gets 60% of its rainfall during October to December months because of this North-East monsoon.

This year North-East monsoon is likely to give rains around Full Moon of 14th of October when Moon in Pisces sign would be under the aspect of Jupiter from Scorpio. Mercury and Venus will be in Libra a windy sign and Sun and Mars will be in Virgo the rashi signifying southern part of India. The state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will get good rains during second fortnight of October. The coastal areas of Tamil Nadu will also get some showers.

A cyclone expected around Kartika Amavasaya of 28th of October 2019

New Moon horoscope (Kartika Amavasaya Horoscope)

North-East Monsoon 2019 Forecast

North-East Monsoon 2019 Forecast

In the New Moon or Amavasaya horoscope of 28th of October see three watery planets Jupiter, Venus and Mercury in the watery sign Scorpio indicating very heavy rainfall and meteorological disturbances during this fortnight. Sun and Moon are in airy sign Libra which indicate the possibility of a cyclone hitting the southern coast of India during the early November this year in 2019. Now see the Navamsha chart for more clarity. In Navamsha Sun and Moon are in the watery sign Capricorn in mutual aspect with Mercury, Mars and Venus which are in Cancer another watery sign. Jupiter is in Pisces Navamsha giving aspect to the Cancer where there planets are placed. It is indicating extremely heavy rainfall in the fortnight starting from 28th of October. The cause of this could be a very big cyclone which will hit southern parts of India and an unexpected meteorological disturbance will give destructive rain in the entire south and central part of India. This will be very damaging for the farmers of central India who would have been preparing to harvest Kharif crops of rice, maize and pulses.

In state of Maharashatra, Madhya Pradesh and  Chattishgarh  there will be unseasonal rain during the fortnight starting from 28th of October. In Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Odisha rain fall will be above normal for the season.  Jupiter entering into Sagittarius on the 5th of November will give more rains in these parts.

New Moon Horoscope

26 November 2019, 20:36 hours at Delhi

North East Monsoon 2019 Forecast

North East Monsoon forecast for 2019

Now see this New Moon horoscope of 26th of November where Sun and Moon in watery sign Scorpio indicate good rainfall. Jupiter and Venus are two watery planets ahead of Sun. It shows good prospects of rains in the fortnight starting from 26th of November. Mars and Mercury in Libra shows that the wind speed will be very high. In Navamsha of the New Moon Jupiter and Venus are giving aspect to Saturn which is in watery Navamsha of Scorpio. Mars is in Capricorn Navamsha under the aspect of Jupiter. So it clearly indicate very heavy rainfall in the last week of November during the North-East monsoon season.

The North-East monsoon will come on time around Full Moon of the 14th of October. It will bring extremely heavy rainfall and a cyclone storm around the New Moon of 28th of October. The destructive rains will disturb many cities of the south India then. The city of Chennai will get flooded during the first fortnight of November month. Overall rainfall is astrologically expected to be above normal in the North East Monsoon season this year.

Apart from this we should also prepare for an early onset of winter season in the North, West and Central Part of country this year. After the New Moon of 28th of October the temperature will drop considerably in North India and there will be heavy snowfall in the hilly areas of Himalayas. I will write a separate article on forecasting the trends of winter season very soon. In Northern states there is also an indication of an outbreak of an epidemic like Dengue, Malaria and throat infection at very high level. The conjunction of Saturn, which signifies epidemics, with Ketu the Karaka of ‘Sookshma-Jeeva’ or virus shows this danger during the months of October and November. The states of UP, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar will get worst affected due to this epidemic this year.
