The historic moment of Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya has finally come. The dream of millions of Hindu’s around the world to see a magnificent Ram Mandir at the birth place of Bhagwan Ram (lord Rama) is going to be a reality now by year 2024 when the construction is targeted for the completion. Astrologically the Muhurta for the Bhoomi Pujan and foundation stone laying for Ram Mandir on the 5th of August 2020 is below average. As a lover of astrologer many of us were surprised why such compromised Muhurta was selected for a historic event such as Ram Mandir construction at birth place of Bhagwan Ram for which Hindu’s were waiting since last 500 years. As per the classical text of Hindu’s such historic events should be conducted on the most auspicious days of the year such as ‘Basant Panchami’ ‘Kartika Poornima’ or ‘Akshya Tritiya’ or ‘Vijay Dashmi’ or any other Muhurta when planetary disposition is very strong. Ayodhya Ram Mandir- Babri Masjid Case: The Verdict of Planets
In that article i had given my old predictions about the possible time frame when Ram Mandir construction can be started after the long pending dispute in court to get resolved. I had then written that conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Capricorn will bring the moment when Ram Temple construction will get start after April 2020. Little i had realised then that Pontiff’s will choose such inauspicious Muhurta for this historic event, perhaps they did it under political pressure of ruling BJP government.
What were the good Muhurta for foundation stone laying in year 2020?
As per Hindu Panchang’s or almanac there were various auspicious Muhurta’s given for foundation stone laying in the months of July, October and November. But there is no auspicious day for this purpose in the months of August and September months. Ideally they should have taken a good Muhurta in the ‘lunar month of Kartik’ in November this year as per Hindu almanac’s. Selecting a Muhurta in the month of Bhadra Pada is also against the Hindu Panchang’s.
Why Shankaracharya got angry over choice of Muhurta ?
The Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati of Jyotir Math and Dwarka was among the first to oppose this Muhurta. He and his disciple’s in Varanasi said “the 5th August falls in Dakshinayan Bhadrapada month and is the second day of Krishna Paksha”. “In Hindu scriptures, for construction of homes or temples the month of Bhadrapada is prohibited”. Chart 1. Ayodhya Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan Muhurta horoscope
5 August 2020, 12:44 hours at Ayodhya, UP
Longitude: 82 E 12′ and Latitude: 26 N 48′
Tithi: Krishna Diwitiya, Vaar: Wednesday, Nakshatra: Shatabhisha, Yoga: Shobhan, Karan; Gara
Hora: Venus (Shukra) , Lunar Month: Bhadrapada
As per the classical text of Muhurta and Vastu the construction work or foundation stone laying should be initiated in the lunar months of Falguna, Shravana, Margsheersha, Pausa and Vaishakha provided Sun is not transiting in dual signs i.e. in Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces.
The lunar month of Bhadrapada is generally avoided. But on the 5th of August it is not only this undesirable lunar month but it is also the 2nd day of darker half i.e. Krishna Paksha. when Moon is malefic in Paksha Bala.
For construction activity we take fixed Nakshtra’s like Uttaraphalguni, Uttarashada, Uttarbhadrapad and Rohini. On the 5th of August the Nakshatra is Shatabhisha which is a Mridu Nakshatra that is good but bit average only.
Lagna-Shuddhi- The cardinal principals of Lagna Shuddhi are not applied in the Muhurta of 5th of August for Ram Temple foundation stone laying. The lagna should not be of a movable sign’s i.e. Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn. A fixed sign in in the langa is favoured with benefic planets in Kendra. Here in the Muhurta chart given above the lagna is a movable sign Libra getting bad aspects of both Saturn and Mars so it is heavily afflicted. The lagna lord Venus is with Rahu in close conjunction, which is inauspicious as it indicate a possible terrorist threat at the venue in coming months. The two major benefic planets Jupiter and Venus are afflicted in Rahu-Ketu axis in both Rashi and Navamsha which is highly unwanted. Mars as the 7th lord, a Maraka planet, aspect the lagna lord Venus from the sixth house of violence shows deep concerns for the security of important persons involve in this activity.
The position of planets in Navamsha has improved though as Taurus rising in Navamsha is a fixed sign. Benefic planets Jupiter, Mercury and Venus in Kendra in Navamsha will ensure the stability, fame and religious sanctity of the structure of Ram Temple for years.
Chandra Shuddhi:- This is another vital point of Muhurta which is missing in the chart 1 of Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan on the 5th of August 2020. Moon is in Aquarius in “Paap-Kartari” yoga as it is hemmed between Mars and Saturn on either side of it. The Moon sign lord is Saturn which is in mutual aspect with Sun is another inauspicious yoga.
The hora at the time of Muhurta is of Venus which is a benefic planet. As per the Muhurta system of South-India there is no Abhijit Muhurta on Wednesday as around mid noon it is ‘Rahu-Kaal’ which nullify the good effects of Abhijit Muhurta. Moreover, Abhijit Muhurta is very common as it comes 365 times in a year ! Yes every day you get a Abhijit Muhurta around mid noon which Sun is at the 10th house from the rising sign giving Digbala to it. An Abhijit Muhurta can not ward-off all the Dosha’s in a weak Muhurta chart, it is only a compromised Muhurta which astrologers gives when their clients don’t have much options in their hand.
As per South-Indian system on the 5th of August the Rahu Kalam in Ayodhya was from 12:07 noon to 13:45 hours in the afternoon which is an inauspicious time of the day.
What would be the astrological significations of the Muhurta for Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan ?
Such afflictions to the lagna, lagna lord, Moon and Moon sign lord are not good for the person who is taking part in the activity of foundation stone laying. The Ram Mandir foundation stone will be installed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself who’s Moon is in Scorpio. From his natal Moon the placement of Moon in the 4th house is also inauspicious in the Muhurta chart. The Moon sign (Chandra Rashi) of Bhagwan Ram was Cancer from which the Moon will be in 8th house in Aquarius which is also undesirable . The Moon should not be in the 4, 8 or 12 houses of the native who is taking part in the activity for which the Muhurta is calculated. The Moon will be in Aquarius which is in the 4th house from the natal Moon of Prime Minister Modi and 8th from the natal Moon of the foundation horoscope of Independent India. Such weak Muhurta can be an indicator of a war and natural calamity in next few months as it is a bad omen for ruler of the country also. Now this weak Muhurta for the Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan will act as a catalyst of a bad omen for the top leadership of ruling central government of BJP. However, since a benefic sign Libra is rising with the Hora of Venus so the city of Ayodhya will shine as a major religious tourist centre of the world in coming years. The construction of Ram Mandir will be completed as per the time schedule which is targeted for 2024.

Chart 2. Akshya Tritiya horoscope

The above given chart of Simha (Leo) lagna is for the day of Akshya Tritiya on 14th of May 2021. Here you can see a fixed sign Leo is rising at the mid day with Taurus Navamsha. Jupiter, the significant of Dharma, is strong in the 7th house in auspicious Aquarius sign. Sun the lagna lord is in its sign of exaltation in the 9th house of religion or Dharma. Sun is also the Karaka for temple or places of worship as per Bhriat Parashtra Hora Shastra. Aquarius is the sign of religious places or temple is strengthen here with the presence of 5th lord Jupiter. Notice here Moon is in its Moola Trikona Rashi with two other benefic planets Venus and Mercury. An excellent Gaja Kesari Yoga is also formed here. The Yoga Karaka Mars which is lord of 4th and 9th house is in the 11th house of gains.

On the 5th of August 2020 the planetary configuration are adverse for the purpose of starting a construction as per the Muhurta principals of Vedic Astrology. But then present BJP government had scrapped Article 370 and 35A on the 5th of August 2019 last year, so they might want to make the ‘5th of August’ as a historic and memorable day for their voters. Interestingly the verdict of Supreme Court on Ayodhya dispute case had come on the 9th of November 2019 exactly 30 years after the historic ‘ 9th of November 1989 Ayodhya foundation stone laying’ which had bring a storm into Indian politics . Can these dates of 5th of August and 9th of November be a mere coincident only ? or the present Hindu nationalist BJP’s top leadership believe more in numerology than Vedic astrology (Jyotish) ?
