A planetary route to global economic crisis

October 23, 2019 By Sachin Malhotra

It is almost 3 years now to that earth-shaking announcement of PM Narendra Modi on the evening of 8th of November 2016 when the currency notes of Rs.500 and Rs.1000 were banned with several motives in mind. The effects of demonetization, which is the most disputed move of Modi government, are still there to be felt at the Indian economy which is struggling due to a slowdown in various sectors. Internationally the US-China trade war initiated by Donald Trump and the middle-east tensions are creating a fear psychosis of global recession. I had forewarned predictions about global recession  in my various blog posts since last two years. The most recent one was posted on March 16th this year “Saturn-Ketu conjunction: Ensuing difficult time for traders in year 2019-2020”.

Interestingly when Mr. Modi had come into power , raising high hopes in 2014,  India was aiming for a double digit growth but now the situation has come that even getting a 6% to 6.5% GDP growth rate is looking like a monumental task. Demonetization had its lasting effect on India’s MSME’s (Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises) which also suffered from the GST (Goods and Services Tax) that was introduced on 1st of July 2017 without much preparation by the central government. As per the reports of RBI more than 99% of the value of old currency notes that was removed from the circulation has found its way back into the financial market. Instead of tackling the problem of illicit cash the employment was reduce, output was lost, millions of man hours were wasted and investment came down.

However, the demonetization and GST were not complete failure as now the government has enough data to track and nab tax evaders. But then what Demonetization and GST has done is that it has helped big industrialist and e-commerce companies to crush the small entrepreneur of informal sector which was the back-born of India’s economy. The BJP government claim that its Mudra Loan scheme has provided good support to the self employment but then why its results are not visible in central government’s own economic data ?

The economic slowdown in India has many other reasons which as per astrological analysis are not going to get solved before 2022. The conjunction of Saturn-Jupiter in Capricorn sing in 2020 and 2021 will further compound to the problems of economic slowdown which will take the shape of a global recession around that time.

Saturn-Jupiter time  cycles and global economic recessions

The conjunction or opposition of Saturn and Jupiter bring major economic, social and political changes around the world is a cardinal principal of Medini Jyotish (mundane astrology). This has been explained in the classical text like Mayur Chitram and Bhavishya Phala Bhaskara in very brief in just one Sanskrit stanza each. Saturn is the Karaka for masses or people in general and Jupiter signifies wealth and wisdom. Whenever Saturn and Jupiter conjoined together or they come into mutual opposition there is a drastic change in public opinion about politics, social matters, fashion in general and about spending habits. It has been observed that major economic recession around the world comes around the time when Saturn-Jupiter are in conjunction or opposition.

As per IMF (International Monetary Funds) global recession is “decline in annual per-capita real world GDP, along with decline or worsening of one or seven other global macroeconomic indicators like industrial production, trade, capital flow, oil consumption, unemployment rate, per-capita investment and per-capita consumption. Prior to year 2009 the IMF use to back the principal that per-capita growth rate of GDP less than 3% should be consider as global recession. By this measure there were six global recession since world war II: they were in 1970, 1974-75, 1980-83, 1990-93, 2001-2002 and 2008-09.

At the time of all these global economic recessions the Saturn-Jupiter were either in opposition or in conjunction with each other. In 1970 Saturn was transiting in Aries and Jupiter was in Libra in the 7th house from it. During 1980-81 Saturn and Jupiter were in conjunction in Virgo sign. In 1990 Saturn was in Sagittarius and Jupiter was in Gemini in the 7th from it at direct opposition. During 2001 Saturn and Jupiter were in conjunction in Taurus sign. In the mid of 2009 Saturn was in Leo and Jupiter was in Aquarius. Later in year 2010 Saturn came into Virgo and Jupiter moved to Pisces in the 7th house from it. This was the period when the entire Europe and USA was affected with global recession. Anti corruption public protests were also started around that time in Arab world and also in Indian sub-continent which resulted in change of regimes.

How Saturn-Jupiter conjunction in Capricorn will affect the world order in 2020-2021 ?

Now Saturn-Jupiter will again come into a great conjunction. During the months of November-December they will be in conjunction in sign Sagittarius. Later from May 2020 to July 2021 the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter will take place in Capricorn sign. This bring bring a mini-world war like situation along with major political and social revolutions. India will involve in a war with Pakistan and China in the summer of 2020. USA will enter into a conflict between Saudi Arabia and Iran which can take dangerous turn affecting Turkey and Israel also. This may cause such diplomatic crisis around the world that peaceful organization of  Olympic Games  in Tokyo  Japan in August 2020 is going to be very difficult. The global economic recession will adversely effect the economies of India, China, USA, Europe, Brazil and Japan for two years starting from 2020. There will be mass protest against politicians and super-rich industrialist around the world during 2020-2021. These public protest will start from South-American countries and slowly spread in the entire Europe, North America and may even reach south Asian countries like India.

This will make the right-wing popular leaders of Brazil, USA, India, UK and Turkey highly unstable. Public protest against economic inequalities and wars will make Bolsonaro (Brazil) ,Donald Trump (USA) , Narendra Modi (India) , Boris Johnson (UK) and Erdogan (Turkey) unpopular. The USA. South America and Europe will suffer the most severe economic crisis. The prices of crude oil will cross the 100$ per barrel mark by the end of 2020. Gold prices will also rise sharply during April 2020 to July 2021 due to a conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn. Jupiter the significant of gold becoming weak will bring rise to its consumption and prices. The real estate market will melt down and prices of steel will also go down.

The relief will come After April  2022 when Jupiter will be transiting ahead of Saturn in the Pisces Rashi which is the sign of expansion. The transit of Jupiter in Pisces sign from April 2022 onward till the early 2023 will bring a boom in the global economy. This will also bring back the liberals and socialist leadership back into power in many countries in coming years.

Foundation horoscope  of India

15 August 1947, 00:00 hours at mid night, Delhi

Astrological prediction for India for year 2020-2021

In the foundation horoscope of India the conjunction of Saturn-Jupiter will take place in the 8th house Sagittarius during November-December 2019 and then in the 9th house Capricorn from April 2020 to July 2021 intermittently. In the month of November the economic recession will start taking shape after the Mercury’s retrograde entry into Libra sign which will bring a fall in stock market around 8th of November. Then next month around the time of solar eclipse on 26th of December there could be a big crash in the stock market around the world which will affect India also. India would be under the Vimshottari dasha of Moon-Saturn from 10 December 2019 to 10 July 2021 which will bring economic recession and war. Saturn the sub period lord is the 7th house from the natal Moon of India. The solar eclipse in war sign Sagittarius on 26th of December and then another eclipse in June 2020 are going to put India with a dangerous war with Pakistan and China about which i have predicted four years back. The only respite will be the construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya during July 2020 to July 2021 when transiting Saturn and Jupiter will influence the Makar Rashi which is the 9th house in the foundation chart of country. But the economic situation of the country will only improve after 2021 during the Moon-Mercury dasha in Vimshottari.

Hindu New Year horoscope 2019

5 April 2019, 14:20 hours at Delhi

Astrological prediction for India for year 2019-2020

In the horoscope of Hindu New Year 2019 or Chaitra Shukla Pratipada Kundali one can clearly see the situation of economic trouble as there is no benefic planet in the kendra. Jupiter, Mercury, Venus and Mars are giving aspect to the 2nd house of national wealth. What does it means ? During the operation of this horoscope (from April 2019 to April 2020) the Indian government is likely to vigorously implement its policy of disinvestment to generate case which it require to run its social schemes. In the Cancer lagna horoscope of Hindu New Year 2019 the 4th lord (landed property and government infrastructure)  Venus is conjoined with 12th lord Mercury (sale and losses)  is giving aspect to the 2nd house (national wealth). The 2nd house is also getting the aspect of 9th and 6th lord Jupiter and 5th and 10th lord Mars. This indicate governments effort to sell its shares in the public sector companies to generate cash. As per some news reports Indian government has approved to sell its share in 11 leading public sector companies to get Rs. 1.05 Lakh Crores. Apart from this strategic disinvestment there are also plans to implement privatization in India Railways in coming months by giving rail routs and stations on lease to some private companies. Two years ago i had made this prediction about privatization in India Railways in my article Planets and future of Indian Railway

Now this Hindu New Year chart for India given above clearly shows strife and strikes of employees in government sector which may oppose disinvestment and privatization plans of Modi government. See the conjunction of 9th and 6th lord Jupiter in the 6th house with 8th lord Saturn and Ketu. They get the aspect of Mars from the 11th house which shows strikes and protests. This situation in the public sector will continue even in 2020 and 2021.

Hindu New Year horoscope of 2020

Hindu New Year 2020 and predictions for India

Hindu New Year 2020 and predictions for India

In the Hindu New Year horoscope of 2020 the Cancer sign is rising. Mercury, Jupiter and Mars are giving aspect to the 2nd house of national exchequer. Mercury as the 12th lord giving aspect to the 2nd house shows economic crisis and governments plan to sell its share in pubic sector. Noticeable point is the conjunction of Saturn and Mars in the 7th house of war in the Hindu New Year Horoscope of 2020. In Navamsha both Saturn and Mars give aspect to the 7th house of war which is dangerous. China and Pakistan can jointly attack India’s border in the summer of 2020 which will result in a war.

Astrologically the year 2020 and 2021 are likely to be very challenging period for the world economy. After global recession and wars in 2020 the recovery will start only in 2022 when Jupiter, the planet of expansion, will enter the Pisces sign. The economic system of many countries will then start moving towards social welfare for which high tax rates will be imposed on rich people. There will be high level of economic growth from 2023 to 2028 until Saturn enter into Aries sign to set the  momentum  for another major global recession in 2030 when both Saturn and Jupiter will be in opposition at Taurus and Scorpio axis.

Saturn-Ketu conjunction : Ensuing difficult time for traders in 2019-2020

March 16, 2019 By Sachin Malhotra

“If poor people knew how rich rich-people are, there would be riots in the streets”, these  words of famous American comedian Chris Rock  might come true in the light of our astrological understanding of the world economic trends. I have been writing about an impending danger of a global recession in year 2019-20 in my articles in Express Star Teller Magazine since last two years. The conjunction of Saturn-Ketu ( from 23 March 2019 to 23 Janaury 2020) and Saturn-Jupiter conjunction from mid October 2019 is going to bring major public unrest around the world in the matters related with lack of job opportunities and growing economic inequalities in capitalist society.

The conjunction of Saturn and Ketu bring very unpredictable trends in the market and is generally been observed to bring instability. The ‘2007-08 world food price crisis’ was happen during the Saturn-Ketu conjunction in Leo. The prices of rice and wheat shoot-up dramatically then creating unrest in many developing nations including India in later years. The price of food grains sparked due to drought in many countries and rise in crude oil prices. The 2007-08 global financial crisis also happen during the time when Saturn-Ketu were in conjunction which affected badly the banking sector internationally. Since then inequality between the rich and poor in society has increased sharply which is causing worry for the future of capitalist system. Now Saturn-Ketu will again come into conjunction from 23 March 2019 to 23 January 2020, this time in sign Sagittarius.

The conjunction of Saturn-Ketu  in fiery signs tends to give lots of social, political and economic upheavals. During the fall of USSR and communist regimes in Eastern Europe in  1989 the Saturn was in Sagittarius and Ketu was in Leo. The fall of the communist USSR give the capitalist’s of USA an advantage to take the economy of developing nations into the grip of consumerism  which now has become a menace for humanity. Now the upcoming Saturn-Ketu conjunction followed by a Saturn-Jupiter conjunction in October this year will bring dynamic changes in the world economy after a major ‘global recession’ in 2020. The onset of this global recession will be from the middle of year 2019 when Saturn-Ketu will be in conjunction. Later Saturn-Jupiter conjunction in Sagittarius and then in Capricorn will trigger a deep crisis for the capitalist system. Lots of governments around the world will face public protests against wars, economic inequalities, inflection and job crisis. A major social movement and public uprising  initiated in 2020 will change the dynamics of world politics and economy in the next one decade. The era of mixed-economy and socialist reforms  will come back in the west. The fall in stock markets around the world will bring major setback for the billionaires in Forbes lists.  The uber-rich business tycoons will loose a major share of their net-worth and they will also face public protests. This will force the governments around the world to make more investments in the  public sector to create more government jobs.

Growing Wealth Inequalities around the world

As per the report of famous international NGO Oxfam ‘World’s 26 richest people own as much as poorest 50% population”.

Rewarding wealthy shareholders and bosses at the expense of workers pay and conditions is a dangerous trends. The billionaire boom, particularly in India and China, is not a sign of growing economy but an alarm bell ringing for falling economic system. Those poor workers who manufacture our clothes, farmers who produce food, laborers who build our houses etc. are paid less to ensure cheap supply of goods. The uber-rich are filling their pockets at the cost of these workers and they are becoming more rich with every passing day.  In India the situation is getting even worst where people are doing ‘hero-worshiping’ of these uber-rich not realizing the fact that it is because of them their lives is becoming more miserable day by day. In India top 1% bag 73% of the wealth which is a shocking revelation. Now the coming Chaitra Shukla Pratipada horoscope is indicating an important ‘tax reform’ to come in next one year. See the horoscope of Pisces New Moon given below.

Pisces New Moon or Chaitra Shukla Pratipada Horoscope

Predictions for stock market in 2019-2020

Predictions for stock market in 2019-2020

In the Cancer lagna Hindu New Year horoscope given above as many as 4 planets are giving aspect to the 2nd house of government exchequer. Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Mars are all giving aspect to the 2nd house indicating rise in the government exchequer because of higher collection of tax. The government of India will get record amount of tax collection during financial year 2019-20 because of more number of people filling income tax and GST in proper manner. Earlier in 2018 there was a surge in direction tax collection by 18% due to the effects of demonetization.  This was due to more number of people filling income tax return for the fear of tax authorities and improvements in the implementation of GST (Goods and Services Tax) after initial hiccups.

Major amendments in Income Tax Act 1961

The 2nd lord Sun in the Cancer lagna Hindu New Year horoscope is placed in the 9th house. It shows major legal amendments in the income tax Act in India. The government may impose a new wealth tax on billionaires in India or tax rates for them will be increased. In Navamsha the exalted Venus with Mars is in the 2nd house. Banking sector will also do well in next one year in India. The Indian economy will remain fastest growing economy in the world but its stock market will see many upheavals.

Horoscope of Sun enters Aries

Predictions of global economy in 2019-2020

Predictions of global economy in 2019-2020

The horoscope of Sun’s entry into Aries is also very important in the context of stock markets around the world. In India and USA many stocks of top companies are booming. The Bombay Stock Exchange crossed the mark of 38,000 points recently on the 15th of March 2019. It will continue to take few more bull rallies considering the Sun’s entry into Aries horoscope. Here the lagna is Leo with its lord Sun in the 9th house getting the auspicious aspect of 5th lord Jupiter. Moon is in Cancer in own sign and 2nd lord Mercury aspect its own house.

People should be very careful now before entering into stock market as the upcoming hike is likely to be a bubble which will burst soon. The Saturn-Mars opposition in the last week of May and June, lunar eclipse of 16 July and a solar eclipse on 26 December this year are very sensitive for stock traders. So if you are planning a long term investments in the stocks then be careful now. The bad time for  Forbes billionaires is also knocking their doors with Saturn-Ketu ringing an alarm bell for them.

Saturn in Sagittarius and impending danger of a global recession

October 18, 2017 By Sachin Malhotra

In year 2016 the GDP growth rate of India was impressive at 7.1% which was slightly higher than China who’s economy was slowing down since 2014. The Chinese economy had register the annual growth of 6.7% in year 2016 which was the lowest since 1990. So last year Indian economy overtook China for the first time in terms of GDP growth rate. However, the demonetisation of higher denomination currency on the 8th of November 2016 and the poor implementation of GST (Goods & Services Tax) put Indian economy under stress. The GDP growth rate for the first quarter of financial year 2017-18 (April to June) was just 5.7% where as last year for the same period it was 7.9%. I had astrologically forewarned about the danger of a global slowdown in my article ” Forecasting Global Economic Trends in 2017″   which was published in the January 2017 issue of Express Star Teller Magazine.

The entry of Saturn into the Sagittarius sign will bring a slowdown in the global economy possibly due to a dangerous war in Korean peninsular. The Sagittarius is a war sign and the transit of Saturn from this rashi has historically brought major changes in the international politics.

. At the time of Great Depression of 1929 the Saturn was in Sagittarius. That great depression lasted from 1929 to 1939 and was ended at the beginning of the second world war. During this period ( 1929 to 1939) the consumer spending and investment dropped causing steep decline in the industrial output and rise in the unemployment. Before that the US economy was expending rapidly during 1920’s. The reckless speculation in the stock market was reached at the level of madness where everyone from the millionaire to the common laborer was putting his saving into stock exchange. The stock market reached at its peak in August 1929 but by then the industrial production was declining  leaving stock prices much higher than their actual value.

Later on 24th of October 1929 the nervous investors started selling their shares in large numbers. In next one week more than 27 millions of shares were traded which swept the wall street and wiped out many investors completely. This trigger a great depression as the consumers confidence was vanished in the wake of stock market crash. The downturn in investment slowed down the production and business which affected the purchasing power due to fall in wages. This was the biggest recession in the history of the industrial world.

Now compare this with the current economic scenario of India where the Sensex is on fire and have risen 20% since the beginning of the year. The BSE sensex has gone from 26500 at the beginning of year 2017 to more than 32000 now in the mid of October. But despite the booming stock market the rate of job creation is extremely slow which is a  dangerous trend.

Historically the transit of Saturn from Sagittarius has created problems for the central government in India.

For India the transit of Saturn from Sagittarius in 1989-90 was very disturbing. The country was struggling with religious, political and economic crisis. The ‘Ram temple movement’ by the BJP and the  anti-corruption protests  by the V.P. Singh on the issue of Bofors Scandal saw the fall of Rajiv Gandhi during the general elections of 1989.  A minority government led by the  V.P. was ruling the country struggling with economic crisis in which India had to airlift its national gold reserves as a pledge to the IMF (International Monetary Funds) in exchange for a loan to cover balance of payment debts. The prime minister V.P. Singh later had to  resigned in November 1990 after a serious of protest in the country against the implementation of ‘Mandal Commission’ report giving 27% job reservations for the OBC (Other Backward Classes) in government jobs.

Interestingly during the last transit of Saturn from the Sagittarius sign the economy of China and India was started to become open for the world. The goal of ‘global economic liberalization’ propagated by USA was to make the economies more market and service-oriented and to expand the role of private and foreign investments. Now  the rise of nationalist movements in Europe and Donald Trump’s policy of protectionism has started threatening the system of ‘economic liberalization’.

During the last transit of Saturn from Sagittarius in 1989-90 the cold war was ended after the collapse of  USSR (Soviet Union). The countries of the Eastern Europe were liberated from the ‘Iron Curtain’ policy of Soviet Union. The world order started reshaping in favor of the USA which took other countries into its economic clout by forcing them to open their markets.

Saturn in Sagittarius and possible  trade wars between the nations in 2018-19

The year 2018 and 2019 could be the year of ‘trade wars between the nations’ as per the astrological analysis of the foundation horoscopes of major countries of the world.

The political tensions between the USA, China, Japan and Russia may initiate a ‘trade war’ which can damage the global economy very seriously. The issue of North Korea, South-China-Sea dispute and Syria war is potentially dangerous in starting a new ‘cold war’ between major countries of the world. The transit of Saturn from the ‘war sign’ Sagittarius can bring ‘trade war’ between the nations.

Possible fall in the stock markets in the  first fortnight of November 2017

The Saturn entering into the Sagittarius sign on the 26th of October may ignite a fall in the stock markets around the world. As per the ‘Sarvato Bhadra Chakra’ analysis the planet in Moola Nakshatra gives ‘Vedha’ to the Chitra Nakshatra. The malefic Saturn from Moola will afflict the Chitra Nakshatra which is a combination of  rise in the gold prices. The Saturn in the fiery sign Libra will also reduce the production of the crude oil resulting the hike in its prices. The crude oil trading around $55 per barrel is likely to cross the mark of $80 very quickly.

The stock markets are likely to fall and the gold prices will increase during the first two months of Saturn transit from Sagittarius. The period of November and December in 2017 is very crucial from the point of view of global economy. Saturn in Sagittarius will be transiting through the Aries Navamsha and Jupiter from Libra will be in Capricorn Navamsha during the first fortnight of November 2017. This combination can trigger a collapse of stock markets around the world during the first fortnight of November 2017.
