In mundane astrology, the position of the planets in the horoscope formed at the time of Sun’s zodiac change i.e. Surya Sankranti is studied in two specific ways. Firstly, by looking at the mutual position of the major planets Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Rahu and Ketu with respect to the luminaries, Sun and the Moon. On this basis predictions are made regarding the auspicious and inauspicious events happening in 30 days. On the second level, the transit of major planets is studied by the use of some special Chakra’s like Nakshatra Sangatta Chakra, Rashi Sangatta Chakra, Kurma Chakra and Avakahada Chakra etc. By these two methods of the study of Solar Ingress of Libra i.e. Tula Sankranti we can foresee some disastrous things to get unfold in the ongoing Middle East crisis due to Israel-Hamas war.
In view of the major changes in the geopolitical scenario of the world due to the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, at the time of Sun’s transit in Libra on October 18th , the Sun will be in the Kendra (square) with the major planets Jupiter, Mars, Rahu and Ketu , and it will be in Trikona (Trine) from Saturn which at present is transiting from Aquarius. The Kendra-Trikona i.e. Square and Angle position of all the major planets with Sun is showing a big danger whose effect will be long term and India will also be adversely affected by it. In Hindu Astrology, Sun and Moon are considered as Rajasik planets i.e. royal planets. Coincidentally, at the time of Tula Sankranti of this year, Sun being afflicted by the conjunction of Mars and Ketu and the aspect of the malefic planet Saturn on the Moon clearly indicates some uncomfortable situation, deterioration in health and political dilemma for the big politicians of the world, especially Joe Biden, Benjamin Netanyahu and Narendra Modi.

Just one day after Surya Sankranti (Solar ingress of Libra) , Mercury will transit in Libra and form an inauspicious conjunction with Sun, Ketu and Mars, which is creating a possibility of some major disaster due to Mercury’s position in transit in the 2nd house a Maraka Bhava i.e. Killer house in the foundation horoscope of Israel’s which is of Virgo ascendant. The terrorist organization Hezbollah present on the Lebanon border can attack Israel at the instructions of its master Iran anytime during second fortnight of October month. The terrorist organization Hezbollah has been defeated by Israel in the 34-day war in 2006, but this time it can give a tough challenge to Israel’s army as Hezbollah has acquire some long-range missiles which can target Tev Aviv and some other major cities of Israel.

From the perspective of India, it is worth noting that 8000 Indian soldiers are working in the UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon, for them the next one month may prove to be a difficult one. In the next one month, the Israel is running in the Vimshottari dasha of Rahu-Rahu-Jupiter. In the Rashi Sangatta Chakra Sun, Ketu and Mars are in Libra where they are doing Vedha (obstruction) from Saturn which is retrograde in Aquarius sign.

In the Nakshtra Sangatta chakra Saturn transiting from Dhanishta Nakshtra is making Vedha (obstruction) with Sun, Mercury and Ketu Chitra Nakshtra. This Vedha of the Sun, Mercury and Ketu transiting in Chitra Nakshatra and the retrograde Saturn in Dhanishtha Nakshatra indicates a possibility of some decline in the economy, rise in gold prices and turmoil in the stock market.

Situation will be uncomfortable for big national presidents
as the Israel-Hamas war worsening in the Middle East, there may be mass protests movements in support of the state of Palestine in big cities of Muslim countries like Syria, Turkey, Jordan, Egypt, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Indonesia etc., which may have some impact in India. US President Joe Biden’s inauspicious planetary position of transiting Mars from Chitra Nakshtra in the seventh house from his natal Moon in Aries is not good for his health, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Vishshotti dasha and difficult transit of Saturn in the 4th house from his natal Moon and the Mars-Ketu in the 12th from his natal Moon can also make him uncomfortable and may bring decline in his health. The inauspicious transit on Benjamin Netanyahu’s Scorpio ascendant horoscope is an astrological sign of some major violent incident occurring in the next 30 days in Israel and his own popularity in the country will decline.

Now coming back to the horoscope of Sun’s entry into Libra in the contexts of India the position of Moon in the 5th house in its sign of debilitation and the aspect of retrograde Saturn on it from the 8th house indicate some disappointments in sports and cinema. Israel- Palestine Crisis and Fate of ‘Abraham Accords’ – An Astrological Analysis

In the year 2020, the hopes raised by the ‘Abraham Accords’ signed between the four small, but important Arab countries and Israel is now beginning to collapse. Due to the efforts of former US President Donald Trump, the United Arab Emirates, Sudan, Morocco and Bahrain signed the ‘Abraham Accord’ peace treaty with Israel in September 2020, which was the largest peace agreement in the Arab world after the Israel-Jordan peace treaty of 1994. But in mid-April 2021, Al-Aqsa Mosque conflict in Jerusalem, has started taking the form of a war and violent clashes between the Jewish and Arab communities there. Just on the morning of October 7 this year, the militant group Hamas attacked Israeli soldiers from the occupied territory of Palestine, killing more than 200 people. It is said that Hamas had murdered and kidnapped many of Israelis in the Suprise attack. According to Hamas, this is their revenge from Israel for desecrating Al-Aqsa Mosque by sending its soldiers in the year 2021. From astrological point of view, Mars and Ketu had formed on October 3rd, the explosive conjunction. Since then, there was a fear of some major violent incident. But the question arises that amid the recent news of Israel moving towards a peace treaty with Saudi Arabia, why these violent incidents took place in West Asia ? Will the Israel-Palestine conflict destroy the ‘Abrahm Accords’ of September 2020? What impact will the conflict between Israel and Palestine have on India? Let us look at these future fears from the perspective of astrology.

Israel’s foundation horoscope is set for Tel Aviv on May 14, 1948 at 4 pm. In this horoscope of Virgo ascendant, Mars is sitting in the 12th house of loss and giving aspect to the third house of bravery, sixth house of dispute and seventh house of war. From its foundation time itself, this country was surrounded by enemies. In the years 1948, 1967 and 1973, Arab countries attacked Israel and faced defeat every time. In the foundation horoscope of Israel, the lord of 4th and 7th house is Jupiter which is in its own house in Sagittarius, lying in the fourth house, and making an auspicious ‘Hamsa Maha Purusha Yoga’. The aspect of Venus on this Jupiter has made Israel a technologically advanced nation that never faced a defeat in war. The aspect of Saturn-Moon from the eleventh house of gains on the fifth house of higher education has made Israel the leading nation in the world in science and technology. The conjunction of lagna lord and 10th lord Mercury with the 12th house (foreign) Sun in the ninth house of foreign support helped Israel getting a lot of foreign aid from USA and England due to which there there was never any shortage of resources in this nation. Also notice the strong 5th and 9th house in the Navamsha and Dashamsha charts of Israel which made him a leading power in science and technology in the world.

Israel got entangled in the difficult Maha Dasha of Rahu

Currently, the 18 year long Vimshottari Mahadasha of Rahu sitting in the eighth house in the Virgo ascendant horoscope of Israel has started from the month of February this year. In the same year, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has approved a bill to control the appointment of judges in the country’s judiciary and changing the decisions of the judiciary by a simple parliamentary majority which was heavily opposed by public then. There was widespread public protects to oppose this move of Netanyahu who himself has been facing corruption changes since 2019. Netanyahu also removed his Defense Minister from his post who was opposting to these government decisions to control judiciary and it lead to the reduced morale of the armed forces. Taking advantage of this political instability in Israel, the militant group Hamas has made the biggest attack in the region since 1973 Yum Kippur War. A major attack was carried out on the 7th of October which was the festival days in Israel. It is worth noting here that in the horoscope of Israel, Saturn transiting in the eighth house from the natal Moon in Cancer is giving astrological indication of change of power along with sorrow and pain for them.

Student of astrology would have also noticed that transiting Mars and Ketu are in the 2nd house of the Virgo lagna horoscope of Israel at present and Rahu is transiting at the 8th house of destruction from the sign Aries along with Jupiter which is retrograde in transit at present. This unhelpful condition of transit and the Vimshottari Dasha of Rahu-Rahu-Jupiter (13 July 2023 to 22 November 2023) has put Israel in a dangerous war with various terrorist groups.

Chart 2. Hamas Attack on Israel

As per the news reports Hamas started attack on Israel territory at 06:30 am local time from Gaza Strip. The horoscope cast for that time gives Virgo lagna with Mercury, Sun and Gulika in the lagna. Jupiter as the 7th lord (war) is in the 8th house and getting the aspect of retrograde Saturn from the 6th house of conflict and the lord of 8th house (destruction) Mars which is sitting in the 2nd house a ‘Maraka Bhava’. In Vimshottari Jupiter Maha Dasha and Ketu Anter Dasha is running in this chart till 15 January 2024. The ketu is in the 2nd house along with 8th lord Mars shows a major diplomatic crisis and geopolitical tensions which may force many Arab countries to call off their diplomates from Israel.

Is Israel trapped by Netanyahu’s mistakes?

Benjamin Netanyahu, who has been the Prime Minister of Israel more than five times since 1996, has been facing corruption allegations for some years now and just earlier this year he was facing heavy pressure to resign. 21 October 1949 Born at 10:15 am in Tel Aviv, then capital of Israel, the horoscope of Netanyahu is of Scorpio Ascendant. Currently, the Vimshottar dasha of Mercury Anter Dasha of Saturn and Pratyanter Dasha of Venus is going on in his horoscope between August 2023 to February 2024. For a Scorpio ascendant native Mercury, Saturn and Venus are the three most unhelpful planets as they are functional malefic for this lagna. But due to Mercury being in its sign Virgo in the 11th house of gains and Saturn being 3rd lord (velour) in conjunction with the ascendant and 6th lord Mars in the tenth house of power , will give him victory in the war against the militant groups of Hamas, Hizbollah and her enemy Lebanon.

The dangerous conjunction of Mars and Ketu, which is currently transiting in the eighth house of Israel’s ascendant and in the sixth house of violence in Netanyahu’s horoscope, is an indication of this war going on intermittently for the next 20 days i.e by the end of October this year. The Vimshottari Dasha of Mercury and Anter Dasha of Saturn is sensative for the position of Benjamin Netanyahu as both these Dasha lords are in 2/12 position in birth chart, and they are in 6/8 position in his Navamsha chart. Moreover, Saturn in the 10th house is known to give sudden rise and fall is a classical principal of “Mundane Astrology”.

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is going to complete 74 years of age during the month of October this year. His annual horoscope (Varsha Kundali) is getting Scorpio rising at the ascendant which is the “Dwi-Janma” horoscope for him. As per Tajik Neelkhanti, a classical texts on annual horoscope, if the sign of Janma lagna rise in the annual horoscope then that year is highly sensitive for the native. In the Scorpio lagna annual horoscope of Benjamin Neyanyahu the 10th lord Sun falls in the 12th house of losses. The ‘Muntha’ i.e. progressed lagna is in 3rd house along with Moon but the aspect of malefic Mars over is is not good for his health and position both. The Muntha lord (Munthesh) is Saturn which is with Gulika. majority of planets in the 12th house in the annual horoscope of Benjamin Netanyahu indicate his fall from the position which is likely any time before October 2024.

Next year , due to a weak annual horoscope, Netanyahu may have to resign from his post. The proposed peace treaty between Israel and Saudi Arabia also seems to be on the back burner. Along with this, due to the inauspicious condition of Rahu Maha Dasha , in the foundation horoscope of Israel it is likely that Abraham Accord peace treaty may break down in the next two years. It will take 20 days to 2 months for Israel to win this war and some compromise will be reached with the help of Egypt then.

Relations between India and Israel have been very good since India had opened its embassy in Tel Aviv in 1992. India also has good trade and cultural relations with Arab countries. Due to tension between Arab countries and Israel , in the next few months It is natural that the increase in oil prices will have an adverse effect on the Indian economy . The inauspicious conjunction of Saturn and Rahu in the middle of the year 2025 will once again create a situation of war between Israel and Palestine, which will have a negative impact on oil prices. In the foundation horoscope of India due to the auspicious Vimshottari Dasha of Moon in the horoscope of Taurus ascendant till September 2025, India’s relations with Arab countries will be good. But after September 2025 the difficult Vimshottari Dasha of Mars will bring some tension in India’s relations with the Arab world.

Balance of Dasha in Vimshottari : Mars 5 years 7 months 1 days

In the Scorpio lagna horoscope of Benjamin Netanyahu the lagan and 6^th lord Mars is conjoined with 3^rd lord Saturn in the 10^th house of career. He served in the Israel defense forces during 1967 to 1973 when he was under the maha dasha of Rahu which is in the 5^th house getting the aspect of Mars. Now I will be discussing some of the major events in the life of Netanyahu using divisional horoscopes by the method of Sage Parashara.

Death of Elder Brother Yonatan Netanyahu in 1976: His elder brother Yonatan was also in the Israel Army who died in a military operation on 4 July 1976. At that time Benjamin Netanyahu was running under Jupiter-Saturn in Vimshottari. Both dasha lords Jupiter and Saturn are in 6/8 from each other in Rashi chart. Saturn as the lord of 3^rd house is with 6^th lord Mars showing death of his brother in military combat. In Dreshkkan chart Jupiter is the lord of lagna with 7^th lord (Marak) Mercury. Saturn, the sub period lord, is in the 2^nd house a Maraka house there for siblings.

Netanyahu’s Marriages: He got married for the first time on 26 August 1972 when he was passing through Rahu-Mars dasha in Vimshottari. Mars is the lord of lagna in Rashi chart. Mars is conjoined with the 7^th lord Mercury in Navamsha chart. This marriage took place in a bad dasha so it was not surprise that it did not last longer. He got married for the second time on 2 May 1981 this time during Jupiter-Venus in Vimshottari. Jupiter as the 5^th lord is giving aspect to the 7^th house. Venus is the lord of 7^th house in Rashi chart. Venus is also placed in the lagna of both Rashi and Navamsha charts. This marriage last for some years as this time it was solemnized in better period.

Later Netanyahu got married for the third time on 3 March 1991 with Sarah-Ben-Arzi. This time he was under Saturn-Saturn period in Vimshottari. Saturn is giving aspect to the 7^th house in Rashi and in Navamsha it is giving aspect to his lagna. He had two children with his second marriage , which is still continuing successfully.

Child birth of Netanyahu: He had children in the maha dasha of Saturn which is exalted in the Navamsha chart and in Saptamasha it is in the own house. Saturn in Saptamasha is in mutual aspect with 5^th lord Jupiter there. His first child (son) was born on 26 July 1991 in Saturn-Saturn dasha in Vimshottari. His second child (son) was born on 10 October 1994 in Saturn-Mercury period in Vimshottari. Mercury in his Scorpio lagna Rashi chart is conjoined with 9^th lord Moon and getting the aspect of 5^th lord Jupiter. In Navamsha Mercury is conjoined with 5^th lord Mars. In Saptamsha Mercury is giving aspect to the 5^th house of children.

Death of Parents: His mother was died on 1^st of February 2000 in Saturn-Sun period in Vimshottari. Saturn is the lord of 4^th house (mother) placed in the 10^th house which is the 7^th house from it a Maraka house for mother. Sun the anter dasha lord is the 10^th lord which is the Maraka for mother. The 5^th house and the 10^th house of Rashi chart are Maraka for mother as they are 2^nd and 7^th respectively from the 4^th house of mother. In Dwadamsha the 2^nd and 7^th house from lagna is Maraka for parents. Now apply the dasha of Saturn-Sun in Dwadamsha chart where Taurus sign is rising. The Saturn falls in the 12^th house getting the aspect of Mars which is the lord of 7^th house (Maraka) in Dwadamsha chart. Sun the anter dasha lord is in the 7^th house of Dwadamsha chart showing death of his mother during this period.

Father of Benjamin Netanyahu died on 30 April 2012 when it was the Vimshottari dasha of Mercury-Venus in his horoscope. See in the Rashi chart Mercury falling in the 12^th house from Sun the Karaka of father. Venus is in the 2^nd house from Sun getting the aspect of Mars which is the lord of 7^th house from Sun. In Dwadamsha this event is more clear as Mercury is the lord of 2^nd house and Venus is in the 2^nd house itself which is a Maraka house there for parents.

Becoming Prime Minister of Israel: Netanyahu become the PM of Israel for the first time on 30 May 1996 when his enigmatic Saturn-Venus in Vimshottari was running. Saturn is placed in the 10^th house of power and Venus is in the lagna. But since both Saturn and Venus are functional malefic for his Scorpio lagna chart so he remain in power for 3 years only. In Dashamsha chart the Saturn is strong placed in the 4^th house but Venus is the lord of 6^th house and is with 8^th lord Moon there.

In July 1999 in his Saturn-Sun dasha in Vimshottari he was defeated in elections by Ehud Barak who then become the prime minister replacing him. Netanyahu’s Sun anter dasha has to give him bad results as it is as the 10^th lord is falling in the 12^th house of losses.

Great Rise in Mercury dasha: On 30 March 2009 he again become the prime minister after sitting in the opposition for 10 years. This time his Mercury-Mercury period was running in Vimshottari. Mercury as the 11^th lord is in own sign with 9^th lord Moon and is getting the aspect of 5^th lord Jupiter by this it is making a great Dhana Yoga. Mercury is the lord of 10^th lord in Navamsha and Dashamsha charts. In Navamsha it is the 10^th lord conjoined with the 5^th lord Mars and is in mutual aspect with 9^th lord Sun in a great Raj Yoga. In Mercury-Venus he reelected for the 3^rd time in 2013 and in Mercury-Sun in March 2015 he return to power for the 4^th time as the prime minister matching David Ben Gurion record who as the first prime minister of Israel.

General Election on 9^th of April: Now at the time of Israel’s general elections Netanyahu would be under Dhanu-Mithun period in Jaimini Chara dasha. Amatayakaraka Saturn is giving the Jaimini aspect to the 11^th house from both Dhanu and Mithun Rashi’s which is showing a good chance for his comeback. In Vimshottari Mercury-Rahu-Mercury period is running from January 2019 to May 2019. Rahu the anter dasha lord is in the 5^th house of ‘Mantri-Pada’. Rahu is getting the aspect of Mercury and Moon both benefics. Rahu is well placed in Navamsha and Dashamsha so its sub period has to be good for him.

In Netanyahu’s horoscope the 7^th lord Venus is in the ascendant which make it the case for the application of Dwisaptati Sama Dasha; a conditional dasha of Sage Parashara. Dwisaptati Sama Dasha is applicable in horoscopes where the 7^th lord is in the lagna or the lagna lord is in the 7^th house. Here in Dwisaptati Sama Dasha Venus-Jupiter-Rahu period is running which is again good. Rahu placed in the 5^th house will give him diplomatic ability to run a good election campaign and get coalition partners after the elections to form a government. Thus Netanyahu can become the Israel’s PM for the record 5^th time this year.

World leaders ruled by Scorpio Sign

At the end of this article i would like to share an interesting astrological observation. At present as many as 5 prominent head of states in the world have either Scorpio rising in their ascendant or they have their Moon in Scorpio sign. Donald Trump has his Moon in Scorpio Rashi, Angela Merkel has Scorpio rising in her ascendant , Vladimir Putin the dictator of Russia also has Scorpio lagna chart, then our prime minister Narendra Modi too has Scorpio lagna with Moon in the ascendant and now i have analysis here the chart of Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu who is also a Scorpio statesman. Israel’s Mars Dasha and Middle-East Tensions

Israel as a state did not existed from the fall of Syrian kingdom of Israel in 722 BC until AD 1948. During this long history of more than 2500 years the holy city of Jerusalem was attacked, besieged, captured and recaptured many a times. The Jews were deported and had to migrate to other parts of the world in great numbers. From 63 BC to AD 661 the Romans controlled this area of Palestine and crushed Jewish rebellion. In 7^th Century AD the Muslim occupation of the Christian holy places in Palestine begun which later became the reason of the ‘Crusades’ (Holy wars) from 11^th to 13^th Century AD. In AD 1517 the Ottoman Turks re-established the Muslim control over Palestine which continued then for about next 500 years. In the First World War the Turks were defeated by the British in 1917 and expelled from the Palestine area. On the 2^nd of November 1917 the Britain issued ‘Balfour Declaration’ promising Jews the support in establishing a national home for them in Palestine.

The Balfour Declaration was a historic event for the Jews around the world aspiring to return to ‘Zion’ and the ‘land of Israel’. From 1920 Britain ruled the area under a league of nation mandate, also known as ‘British Mandate’, and encouraged Jewish immigration which led to opposition by Arabs. During the World War II the annihilation of the Jews in Europe by Hitler increased Jewish immigration to Palestine areas in large numbers which complicated the matter further.

In 1947 the Britain announced that it would withdraw from Palestine stating that it was unable to arrive at a solution acceptable to both Arabs and Jews. During the same year the United Nation proposed a resolution to divide the area of Palestine into “ an independent Arab State, an independent Jews State and keeping the Jerusalem under International Trusteeship”.
