On the 3rd day of Tokyo Olympics India has to face two major disappointments; Women’s hockey team suffered second consecutive defeat and India’s star table tennis sensation Manika Batra lost by 0-4 to Austria’s Sofia Polcanova. Manika was behind in this match right from the start and she was playing her singles without a coach on her corner. In year 2018 commonwealth games in Australia, Manika had won gold medal in women’s single and also a silver medal in women’s double. The Virgo lagna horoscope of Manika Batra has very promising Raja Yoga of Mercury and Venus in the 9th house of luck. But during the current Tokyo Olympics she was under the difficult Rahu-Saturn dasha in Vimshottari which made her performance a little shaky. However, during the time of next Olympics in Paris in 2024 she would surely win a medal for India as by then there would be auspicious Rahu-Mercury dasha would have been running in her horoscope.
Forlorn Manika Batra’s Tokyo Olympic ends in tears
Horoscope of Manika Batra
Balance of Dasha in Vimshottari: Sun 3 years 11 months 16 days
Manika Batra was born on 15 June 1985, 14:16 hours at Delhi when Virgo lagna was rising at the ascendant. The lagna lord Mercury is in the 9th house of luck along with 9th lord Venus in a great Raja Yoga. A vargottama 3rd lord Mars aspect the 6th house and 6th lord Saturn aspect the 10th lord Mercury showing a career in sports. A strong connection between 3rd, 6th and 10th houses lord with powerful lagan/ lagna lord is essential for a good career in sports. As per a research done by my astrologer friend Mr. Sunil Dutt the top sports persons have a 6th lord in deblitiation or in enemy sign either in Rashi chart or in Navamsha chart. Here in the horoscope of Manika Batra the 6th lord Saturn is in its enemy Navamsha of Cancer while the lagan lord Mercury is in Vargottama so it is stronger than the 6th lord. The lagan lord has to be stronger than the 6th lord to overcome competitors in sports . Student of astrology should take note of this point and check with the horoscopes of sports person they have in their collection.
In Navamsha chart of Manika Batra the connection between the 3rd, 6th and 10th houses/lord repeats. In her Leo Navamsha chart the 3rd and 10th lord Venus is in the 9th house getting the aspect of 6th lord Saturn. Noticeable point here is that the 11th house of achievements is strong in Rashi, Navamsha and Dashamsha charts.
Her Karakamsha lagna is Leo as her Atamakaraka Mars is Vargottama In that sign. It has been observed the Atamakaraka gets special strength in Leo and Sagittarius but it also make a person bit aggressive and very independent in nature. Putrakaraka Mercury aspect the Atamakaraka Mars in Karakamsha is a good Raja Yoga. Malefic Rahu in the 3rd house from Karakamsha is good for a career in sports. Benefic planets Jupiter, Venus and Mercury in Kendra from Karakamsha is a great yoga for fame.
A child prodigy : effects of strong Moon dasha
When Moon is strong in a kid’s chart then he/she produce some meaningful output in their selected domain of hobby or extra-curricular activities. Manika Batra started playing table tennis at the age of 4 years only. Her elder brother and sister were also table tennis players. Moon here is in Kemadruma but it is Vargottama. Moon’s sign lord Saturn is also very strong and in Dashamasha Moon has gone into the 9th house of luck. During Moon maha dasha (May 1999 to May 2009) she made very fast progress in her skills in table tennis. Later in the maha dasha of Vargottama 3rd and 8th lord Mars (May 2009 to May 2016) she started shining at the national levels. During her Mars-Moon dasha in Vimshottari she won 3 Gold Medals in South Asian Games in early 2016.
Raha Maha dasha- Ups and Down in career of Manika Batra
The beginning of Rahu maha dasha was excellent for Manika Batra as during April 2018 (Rahu-Rahu-Venus) she won the gold medal in Common Wealth Games in Australia. During the tournament she defeated world number 4 player which made her a sensational start of table tennis in India. That was Rahu-Rahu-Venus (22 February 2018 to 6 August 2018) which made her famous at the national levels. In 2020 she received Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, the highest sporting award in India, during her Rahu-Jupiter dasha in Vimshottari. Jupiter is Vargottama 7th lord and is in mutual aspect with 10th lord Mercury shows this honour for her. But then came a difficult Rahu-Saturn period in Vimshottari (July 2021 to May 2024). Rahu and Saturn both are in 6/8 from each other. In Navamsha Saturn is in the 12th house of losses, though in Dashamasha it is in the 11th house of gains. So Rahu-Saturn period has to give her mixed results for the next 3 years.
Moreover, due to the aspect of Mars on the Saturn, which is posted in the 7th house, there will be some troubles in relationship and family related matters which may give her some major distractions. But since her Atamakaraka Mars and Amatayakaraka Mercury both are Vargottama so she will overcome these issues. In Rahu-Mercury dasha in Vimshottari (May 2024 to November 2026) she will reach at the peak of her career after winning a medal in the next Olympics Games in 2024 in Paris, France. Overall her horoscope has some wonderful Parashari and Jaimini Raja Yoga’s which make it a good case study.
