The ‘Sadhe-Sati’ of Saturn is known as a catalyst or as an accelerator which can speed up the good or bad effects of a running Dasha in a horoscope. In the Libra lagna foundation horoscope of the Election Commission of India the Moon, which is 10th lord there, is in Pisces sign along with the malefic Rahu. Since March 2025 the transiting Saturn is hovering over the Pisces sign at this bad combination of Moon-Rahu. The Election Commission of India had started the process of SIR (Special Intensive Revision) on the 24th of June 2025 from Bihar state. Since then it has become a matter of major dispute and has created situation of mistrust between the opposition parties and the body which is responsible to conduct a fair elections in the country. In the month of September 2026 the Indian Express journalist Ritika Chopra investigative report reveals that two Election Commissioners, Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi , had formally recorded objections 14 times over the period of 10 months against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s authoritarian style of working and ignoring the due legal procedures of the poll panel {Refer link- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026_Indian_electoral_controversy}.
The report of Ritika Choopra has brought in an open discussion about the written dissent of the two elections commissioner’s on the matter of centralization of the voters data base, about loopholes in the software integrity and transparency of the voters database, new methods of voters enrollment introduced without following due procedures, discrepancies in the methods of filing of appeals against voters restorations in courts and protections of electoral rolls etc.
Chart 1. Foundation Horoscope of Election Commission of India
In the Libra lagna foundation horoscope of the Election Commission of India (chart 1) the Vimshottari Dasha of 3rd and 6th lord Jupiter and Anter Dasha of 4th and 10th lord Saturn is running from September 2025 to March 2028. Jupiter as the lord of the 3rd and 6th houses is a functional malefic for the Libra lagna chart of the Election Commission of India. Here Jupiter is also combust with the Sun which as the 11th lord is in Rashi Parivartana with 4th lord Saturn.
In Navamsha and Dashamasha the Maha Dasha lord Jupiter is strong but the Anter Dasha lord Saturn is in malefic sign of Mars which is a weakness here. The transiting Jupiter from Cancer has activated the 10th house of the Rashi chart of the Election Commission of India. The transiting Saturn is hovering over the natal 10th lord the Moon. Thus, both Saturn and Jupiter together has influenced the 10th house or its lord in transit. The transiting Ketu is about to come into the Cancer sign the 10th house of the foundation horoscope of the Election Commission of India which can trigger a major change in the last week of November month.
In Jupiter Dasha Saturn Anter Dasha and Venus Pratyanter Dasha (from 2nd of August 2026 to 3 January 2027) the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar is likely to happen.
The unprecedented public protest by the opposition parties and the newly formed pressure group Cockroach Janata Party will rattle the poll body to its core. In the month of November the Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar may resign on moral grounds after an adverse judgement of apex court on SIR issue.
Chart 2. Foundation Horoscope of Supreme Court of India
While discussing the foundation horoscope of Supreme Court of India (chart 2) in my article ‘Hindu New Year Horoscope of India 2026’ published in the March 2026 issue of the Express Star Teller magazine, i had mentioned;

The Antardasa lord Venus is strongly placed in the 11th house of gains in the Nakshatra of Moon. The conjunction of 3rd and 8th lord Venus with the lagna and 10th lord Jupiter shows judgement that will be just and fair in the eye of the public in general. The Supreme Court of India may disallow the demands of States like Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh to exceed the quota/reservation limit, over the 50% cap. The Court may also set-up a Constitutional Bench to give verdict on the matter of SIR (special intensive revision of electoral rolls) related controversies in various States. ”
Now in the Vimshottari Dasha period of Mercury Maha Dasha Venus Anter Dasha and Jupiter Pratyanter Dasha in the Pisces lagna foundation chart of India will bring an important judgement on the matter of SIR anytime before the end of this year which will give a setback to the Election Commission of India.
