The Supreme Court has recently slammed Patanjali Ayurveda founder Baba Ramdev for his response to the contempt notice issued to his company regarding misleading advertisement for cure of certain disease. It was in the second half of 2021 when my letter to the editor was published in Modern Astrology regarding study of omens in which i had forecast the downfall of Baba Ramdev on the basis of a bad omen of his falling from “Gaja” or an Elephant. The same is now reproduce here.

The study of omens is an integral part of the subject of Medini Jyotish (mundane astrology) by which we make forecasts about important persons and about nations. As per the classical text Bhadra Bahu Samhita if an important person falls from his chariot or vehicle then it is considered a bad omen. Falling from ‘Gaja’ (elephant) or Ashwa (Horse) is also a bad omen. On the 13th of October 2020 famous Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev fell off an elephant while he was doing yoga on his back. This video soon went viral on the internet and was in news on the next day 14th of October everywhere. Since he has fallen off the back of an elephant he has been under controversies on various occasions. A tussle between his organization Patanjali and Indian Medical Association was begun in the month of February when Dr. Jayesh Lele of IMA asked Patanjali to prove that his so-called medicine for curing corona is being certified by WHO. Later in the third week of May, just two days before the lunar eclipse of 26 May, two videos of Baba Ramdev went viral in which he was criticizing the allopathy system of medicines and making fun of doctors. All these events show that the bad omen of falling off from the back of an elephant was a natural indication for Baba Ramdev’s future troubles. As per this omen he is likely to face more troubles in coming months and there shall be a major downfall in his career.

Forecasting Trends for the Hindu New Year 2024-25 for India

Hindu New Year will begin at the time of a total solar eclipse on the 8^th of April 2024 on Monday. This solar eclipse will be visible at the North and some parts of the South American continent but not in India. The Hindu New Year begin on Monday night on 8^th of April 2024 at 23:50:57 hours (IST) when Chaitra Amavasya (no Moon day) ends and the Chaitra Shukla Pratipada starts. Although, the horoscope cast for the Hindu New Year is for Monday but since the Pratipada (first lunar day) Tithi at the time of Sun rise is on Tuesday morning so the lord of the Hindu New Year will be Mars. Interestingly, in the Hindu New Year horoscope 2024-25 for India the conjunction of Saturn and Mars in the 3rd house is likely to give very enigmatic results and some violent incidents during the year of general elections in the country. There will also be some major restrictions on some media houses and freelance journalists in India by the ruling central government which will get widespread international criticism.

As per the Chapter number 19 ‘Graha Varsha Phala Adhyay’ of Brihat Samhita of Varahmihira if Mars become the king of Hindu New Year then there are lots of fire accidents in town and forests, dusty winds blows, fear from robbers and thief, loss of wealth and animals etc. is foreseen. As per modern observations Mars becoming the King of Hindu New Year can bring a war or war like situation in the country. This year India will face a war like situation with China and/or Pakistan as some border clashes will take place but since the 7^th house of Hindu New Year horoscope (chart 1) is not afflicted by malefic planets so no major war is foreseen.

At the time of Sun’s entry into Aries (13 April 2024, 21:04:47 at Delhi) the day is Saturday and its lord Saturn become the minister of the New year. As per Varsha Prabodha if Saturn become the minister of New Year then there will be no happiness for the general public and rainfall is not sufficient.

Chart 1. Horoscope of Hindu New Year 2024-25

Inflation foreseen

In the Hindu New Year horoscope the conjunction of Mars and Saturn indicate inflation which could be due to the prices of oil as on the day of the eclipse these two planets will be at the 7^th house of the foundation chart of USA which may face a war like situation leading to the higher oil prices across the globe. This will also have its impact on India where consumer may have to pay high prices for oil and cooking gas during the second half of the year 2024. As per the book “Vyapaar Ratna”, a financial astrology text in Hindi, by legendary astrologer Pandit Hardeo Sharma Shastri Trivedi the conjunction of Mars and Saturn in malefic Rashi’s give inflation i.e. price rise. We have seen this rule working during March-April 2022 when Mars and Saturn first conjoined in Capricorn on 26^th of February 2022 and remain together throughout March month , and then the ‘Atichari Saturn’ (fact moving Saturn) followed Mars in Aquarius sign and had another conjunction on 29^th of April which continued for few days. This was the period when Russia-Ukraine war had brought food crisis, higher inflation and eroding wages problems across many countries of the world.

Now this time the conjunction of Mars-Saturn in Aquarius on the day of total solar eclipse and a Hindu New Year will again bring war like condition and inflation across the blog but the magnitude of it will less as compare to year 2022. However, the rising prices of essential food items and fuel (petrol and diesel) will be a challenge to control for the government in year 2024 in India.

Major Weapon deal and Scientific Achievement

Also, this Mars-Saturn conjunction in the 3^rd house also shows a very big deal to procure weapons for the army which will make the headlines in the year 2024. ISRO’s Gayanyaan Project will also be a success as the 5^th house having two good benefic planets and the influence of three planets Mars, Saturn and Jupiter on the 9^th house of scientific achievements is good astrological indication for it.

Major Achievements in Sports

In the Hindu New Year horoscope Sagittarius lagna rising and the 3^rd house has Mars and Saturn in it. Saturn as the 3^rd lord in conjunction with 5^th lord Mars is very good for achievements in sports. The third house is the house of sports activity and 5^th house is entertainment. The conjunction of their respective lords in the Hindu New Year horoscope is a good indication for Indian sports person’s performances at the upcoming Paris Olympics’ during 26^th of July to 11^th of August this year. The solar ingress of Cancer will hold its sway during the stay of Sun in Cancer sign (Karka Rashi) from 16^th of July to 16^th of August for a period of 30 days. In the Karka Samkranti or Solar Ingress of Cancer the Virgo lagan is rising which is the 5^th house of the foundation horoscope of India. The lord of 3^rd house in this chart is Mars which is giving aspect to its own house. Jupiter and Saturn are also giving aspects to the 3^rd house of sports. Also, the 5^th house of entertainment is getting aspects of Sun, Venus, Mercury and also Jupiter. So, this time period will be very significant for sports persons, film stars, authors, stock market traders etc. of India.

In the last Olympic Games in Tokyo India has won 7 medals (1 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze). Neeraj Chopra’s gold in Jevelin throw was the highlight for India in Tokyo Olympic. Neeraj Chopra is only the second after Abhinav Bindra to win an individual Olympic Gold medal for our country. This year at Paris Neeraj Chopra is likely to create a history after winning the second gold medal in Javelin throw in consecutive Olympic events as stars are very promising for India at the time of this event in Paris. Chart 3. Foundation Horoscope of India

However, the aspect of Saturn on Mercury in Rashi chart and the conjunction of Saturn-Mercury in the Navamsha lagna of Hindu New Year (chart 1) is a yoga for some major disputes for journalist, authors and sculptures artists. Stock market traders will get benefit during 2024 and also some media houses. But since 5^th lord Mars is in the Nakshtra of Rahu and is conjoined with Saturn so there will be an exposure of a big scam in media, journalism and stock market during April 2024 to April 2025 which will shock the entire nation. There will also be some major restrictions on some media houses and freelance journalist in India which will received widespread international criticism.

Chart 4. Horoscope of Indian Republic

Saturn-Mars Conjunction in Aquarius- What it foretells ?

On the March 15, at 6 pm as per the Indian standard time, Mars entered the Aquarius sign and formed a conjunction with Venus and Saturn, which were already transiting there. Venus will leave Aquarius and move into Pisces in the first week of April, but the destructive conjunction of Mars and Saturn will remain in Aquarius till the end of next month. This conjunction of cruel planets Mars and Saturn, taking place at the time of Lok Sabha elections, is giving astrological indication of some major political and economic upheavals in India. During this conjunction of Saturn and Mars, a major total solar eclipse will occur on April 8th, which will be visible only in USA, Canada and Mexico. This will happen after a very long time, whereas a major total solar eclipse will also occur during the conjunction of cruel planets like Saturn-Mars. The transit of Mars and Saturn in Aquarius will be over the natal Moon of the foundation horoscope of USA and also in the 8th house from the natal Moon in the foundation horoscope of India which may also affect the bilateral relations of both countries adversely in the next 45 days.

Supreme Court in India can form a commission to Probe Electoral Bond Scam

About 30 years ago, the conjunction of Mars and Saturn had took place in Aquarius on February 27th in 1994. At that time, there was a conjunction of Mars, Mercury, Saturn, the Sun and Venus in Aquarius. Due to the effect of the conjunction of these five planets, on March 11, 1994, a landmark judgement of Supreme court came in the S.R. Bommai vs. Union of India. The Supreme Court interpreted the article 356 of the constitution regarding the dismissal of state governments and said that if the Central Government dismisses the elected government of the state, then the Supreme Court has the power to review and even reverse its decision. In this judgement, instructions were also given to the Governors that ‘The decision of whether any state government has majority or not should not be taken in the Raj Bhavan (Governor house) , but it should be decided in the Legislative Assembly only. The landmark judgement of the apex court is considered as one of the most quoted verdicts in the country’s political history.

Now, the Saturn-Mars has again conjoined in Aquarius at the 8th house from the natal Moon of the foundation horoscope of India.

astrological forecast for India 2024

In the foundation horoscope of India the Vimshottari Dasha of Moon-Venus-Rahu is running from 14th of February 2024 to 15 May 2024. The sub period lord Venus is the 6th house of lord of court cases. The sub-sub period (Pratyanter Dasha) lord Rahu is in the lagna and shows some communal tensions in the country in next few days. During the period of Saturn-Mars conjunction in Aquarius the Supreme Court of India can form a judicial commission to inquire into the details of a possible financial scam in the Electoral Bond Case. Saturn-Mars Conjunction will be tragic for Russia

The Saturn-Mars is afflicting Russia’s zodiac sign Aquarius and is showing the possibility of some major violent incident occurring in the ongoing Ukraine war. This conjunction of Mars-Saturn is occurring in the 9th house from Gemini, which is the dominant sign of West Bengal, hence some violent incidents and unnecessary religious disputes may arise during and before the general elections in that region. The effect of the Saturn-Mars conjunction will last from mid-March to the end of April, due to which some scandals and disturbing incidents of sexual misconduct may come to light in India and America. The dignity of political discourse among the big leaders in the general election campaign will fall to a very low level due to which a section of the youth may become disillusioned with politics. This conjunction of Mars and Saturn will increase inflation and can also lead to an atmosphere of war in the Gulf countries.

Above Normal Temperature and Scorching Heat in April-May Foreseen

There will be record breaking heat in April month this year when the planets Jupiter and Mercury will be transiting in the fiery sign Aries, which will be under the third aspect of Saturn transiting in Aquarius at present. Due to the effect of Saturn’s aspect on Aries sign there will be above normal temperature during April-May months in many countries of Northern Hemisphere. The effect of more than normal heat will be seen in April-May months.

In the western part of India, some parts of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra and in Assam affected by Aries, there will be more heat than normal in April this year. Along with the weather, politics heat waves will also be felt strongly in North India. The temperature will remain high in the month of April. There will be turmoil in the stock market and health of big leaders will be in danger. The conjunction of Saturn-Mars in Aquarius indicates some initial upswing in the stock market but later some major upheaval after the eclipse of the April 8th is foreseen. This conjunction, being formed in the eighth house from the Indian zodiac sign Cancer, may indicate some major political scandal. In the horoscope of USA, the Moon is in Aquarius, on which the transit of Saturn-Mars is creating the possibility of violent incidents in the month of end of March or April. There will be a major trouble in the health of America’s President Joe Biden. There will also be a decline in the health of Indian Home Minister Amit Shah during the period of Markesh Jupiter in his horoscope of Virgo ascendant. Forecasting Trends for the Summer Season 2024 for India

According to the Indian Meteorological Department the month of January was the driest and warmest in Jammu & Kashmir since last 43 years. There was almost no snowfall in the hilly region of Himalaya’s in the month of January 2024 but the plains of the North had the more polluted and colder winter season in last one decade. The month of January was full of weather extremes and now the winter season has been extended thanks to the snowfall in the Himalayas in the first week of March. However, in the Southern Parts of India the temperature is likely to be higher then the normal due to the transit of Ketu in Virgo sign.

At the beginning of the summer season this year Saturn and Mars would be in conjunction in Aquarius sign in Shathabhisha Nakshtra ruled by Rahu in the month of April. In astro-meteorology Saturn and Mars are dry planets in nature and create obstruction in rains. Rahu is windy planet and the sign Aquarius contain only 25% of water content. So, this year the month of April is likely to be very hot and dry. The temperature could be higher than the normal particularly in the western parts of the country like Gujarat and Maharashtra. The transit of Jupiter in fiery sign Aries in the Navamsha of Sagittarius also indicate hotter than the normal summer season during the April month.

The city of Bengaluru is under severe water crisis because of ground water shortage due to less than normal rainfall in the last few months. There will be scarcity of water in some more cities of South India during the month of April as dry planet Ketu is transiting in Virgo which signify the south direction as per the Koorma Chakra.

Chart 1. Solar Ingress of Aries

At the time of the Sun’s entry into Aries sign Saturn and Mars would be in close degree conjunction in Poorva Bhadrapada Nakshtra which in Sapta Nadi Chakra comes under Neera Nadi ruled by Venus. The Pisces a watery sign will be occupied by Mercury, Rahu and Venus indicate some light rains which may give relief from the summer heat in some parts of Southern states of India. However, Jupiter in Aries sign will be in Bhrani Nakshtra which in Sapta Nadi Chakra comes under ‘Prachanda Nadi’ ruled by Saturn shows higher than the normal temperature particularly in Eastern parts of the country like Assam, Bihar, West Bengal and Jharkhand.

Mars in Pisces will give unseasonal rainfall

Mars will enter into the watery sign Pisces on the 24^th of April which will give some unseasonal rainfall in some parts of the country particularly in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The presence of Mars, Mercury, Venus and Rahu in watery sign Pisces during the last week of April will give some relief from high temperature in the North and central parts of the country. There are also high chances for a cyclone storm in the first week or third week of May affecting Andhra Pradesh and Odisha badly.

Chart 2. New Moon

8 May 2024, 08:51 hours at Delhi

At the time of New Moon of the 8^th of May the Sun and the Moon will come under the close degree aspect by dry planet Saturn which will give some obstruction in the pre-monsoon rains in Southern Parts of India. The temperature will start rising sharply in the North and Central India. In the third week of May the combust Venus will give good pre-monsoon rainfall in the Southern states like Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Mars and Rahu conjunction in Revati Nakshtra can bring a cyclone storm in the second fortnight of May in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh which will affect the weather of many Southern states and also the Eastern Parts of the country. Revati as per the Koorma Chakra indicate the South-East direction.

Chart 3. Sun Enters into Taurus

14 May 2024, 17:54 hours at Delhi

As per Brihat Samhita’s chapter number 39 the ‘Sasya-Jataka-Adhyay’ the horoscope at the time of Sun’s entry into Taurus gives indication about the yields farmers may get for the winter crops or the crops which are sown during the monsoon season and harvested in winters. Kharif crops are known as monsoon crops which are sown in June or July in the Indian subcontinent and harvested in September-October. The rice, maize, millet, sugarcane, ragi, pulses, soybean, groundnut etc. are major Kharif crops in India.

At the time of Sun’s entry int Taurus the benefic planet Jupiter is in conjunction with the Sun. The other two benefic Mercury and Venus are behind the Sun which is a good indication for winter crops or monsoon crops in India. The production of rice, millets, pulses etc. particularly will be good in the Southern states of India due to timely pre-monsoon rainfall. Some destruction to the crops is indicated in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana due to the affliction to the Revati Nakshtra by Mars and Rahu.

In the Vrishabha (Taurus) Samkranti Chart the Libra lagna is rising which is getting the aspect by Mars, Venus and Mercury. The Moon is in own sign in Cancer which is auspicious for rice crops, sugarcane and milk production in general during the pre-winter season.

The planetary position in the chart of solar ingress of Taurus shows that during the second fortnight of May there will be some unseasonal rains in Bihar, Jharkhand and Eastern UP with lightning and thunderstorms.

The month of June will be hotter than the normal in Norther Parts of the country and also in Assam due to transit of Mars from fiery sign Aries. But the conjunction of Jupiter, Mercury, Venus and the Sun in Taurus sign during the first fortnight of June can give unseasonal rainfall in Bihar and Jharkhand state which will give destruction of life and properties due to lightening and heavy dust storms.
