Astrological Forecast on French Presidential Elections 2017

In France the first round of presidential elections will be held on 23^rd of April 2017. Should no candidate register an outright victory then the second round of elections will be held on the 7^th of May. As per the opinion polls the French election is set to be a closely fought battle between the far right Marine Le Pen and Republican candidate Francois Fillon. The incumbent president and socialist party leader Francois Hollande has already announced that he will not stand for reelections amid dismal popularity ratings of his government. Meanwhile Emmenuel Macron a former civil servant and investment banker is now giving tough challenge to the Fillon and Le Pen. In the Capricorn (Makar) lagan chart of Emmenuel Macron the enigmatic Rahu-Saturn period is running in Vimshottari at present. Earlier he was a member of the French Socialist Party holding ministerial post in the government of Francois Hollande’s government. He resigned from the post in August 2016 in order to bid for the Presidential Elections. Emmenuel Macron is now fighting these elections under the banner En Marche , a movement he founded in April 2016. Now it is Rahu-Saturn-Jupiter ( 22 February 2017 to 10 July 2017) dasha in Vimshottari in his horoscope.

The maha dasha lord Rahu is in the 9th house in Virgo sign which is good. But the position of anter dasha and pratyanter dasha lords are not good at all. The Saturn in the 8th house in enemy sign and Jupiter in the 6th is not a welcome thing. Moreover, there are not any great Raja Yoga of Kendra and Trikona in his chart which suggest that he can rise to the top position in politics. In the Navamsha and Dashamsha charts the Saturn and Rahu are both strongly place which has given him good popularity. But he is not likely to even become the leader of opposition as per my astrological understanding.

In Jaimini Chara dasha it is the Gemini-Scorpio ( 20 December 2016 to 21 July 2017) dasha is running. The Scorpio has the Atamakaraka Venus and the Gemini is the 8th house from it. The dasha period in Jaimini is also not good for Mr. Macron.

In the Virgo lagna horoscope of Marin Le Pen the 10^th lord Mercury is in the 11^th house but it is in its inimical sign. The Mercury is conjoined with the 12^th lord Sun and 8^th lord Mars is not very helpful to attain a higher position of authority. At the time of elections she would be running under the Vimshottari Dasha of Rahu-Jupiter-Saturn ( from 30 January 2017 to 18 June 2017). The Amatayakaraka Mercury is giving aspect to the 12^th house from Pisces. The sub period Rasi Taurus is the 8^th house from Karakamsha. So the Chara Dasha is also not very favorable. In the Virgo lagna chart of Mr. Fillon the 10^th lord Mercury falls in the 6^th house but is involve in a good Raja Yoga with 9^th lord Venus. The lagan and 10^th lord Mercury along with 11^th lord Moon and 2^nd lord Venus is also forming a Dhana yoga there. He is under the Vimshottari Dasha of Ketu-Mercury ( 28 November 2016 to 26 November 2017) at present. Ketu is in the 10^th house of career receiving the aspect of 3^rd and 8^th lord Mars. From Cancer the Amatayakaraka Jupiter is well placed in the 11^th house but the Atamakaraka Venus comes in the 8^th house. The anter dasha sign Aries is the 8^th house from ascendant showing the possibilities of some controversies troubling his election campaigns. However, since the Amatayakaraka Jupiter is giving its aspect to the 10^th from Aries so a victory looks assured for Mr. Fillon.
