In the last week of May 2021 US President Joe Biden announced that he had ordered America’s intelligence agencies to submit a report on the origin of COVID-19 in the next 90 days. USA want to determine if the coronavirus has emerged from human-animal contact, as China claims, or it has come from a laboratory accident. Former US President Donald Trump and secretary of state Mike Pompeo were openly  using the expression ‘Chinese Virus’ , as early as third week of March in 2020,  when this Pandemic has started spreading its deadly shadow on the globe in very mysterious manner. Now recently in the second week of May a research paper published in the Australian News Paper claimed that ‘China had planned a biological weapon in year 2015’. The research paper has referred to the report prepared by senior officials of Chinese Army with title ‘The Unnatural origin of SARS and new species of man-made viruses as ‘Genetic bio-weapons’. {Refer https://www.dnaindia.com/world/report-dna-special-did-china-plan-use-of-coronavirus-as-biological-weapon-in-2015-2889729 }

As per the website worldometers.info/coronavirus as on 2^nd of June 2021 more than 35 lakhs (3.5 million) people have been died in the world because of   covid-19 infections since December 2019. In India total death due to covid-19 were 3.3 Lakhs while in USA it is more than 6 lakhs and Brazil has more lost more than 4.5 lakhs peoples. Interestingly China had only 4636 deaths reported with just around 90 thousand covid-19 cases in total. Since June 2020 China has almost negligible cases of coronavirus infections which is unbelievable considering the fact that this Pandemic was originated from there only. Has China secretly vaccinated its population against such virus, except people living in Wuhan province?

Now after this background I will come to the astrological points. In January 2020 issue of this magazine my article with title ‘Will Jupiter-Saturn conjunction make 2020 a year of wars?’ was published at page number 53. In that article I had discussed a classical principal of mundane astrology for ‘wars, destruction of people, economic crisis and rise in the prices of essential commodities’. This principal is based on the effects of Saturn-Jupiter conjunction or their opposition which is given in texts like Bhavishya Phala Bhaskar and Mayur Chitram available in Hindi at present. In that article at page number 54 I had analysis the horoscope of Solar Eclipse of 26^th of December 2019 in which a  forecast for the  ‘ change in world order, a major global recession, trade wars leading to situation of a mini world war etc.’ were given.

Chart 1. Solar Eclipse

             26 December 2019, 10:43 hours at Delhi

The solar eclipse of 26 December 2019 has occurred in Dhanu Rasi (Sagittarius sign) and Moola Nakshatra. Sun, Moon, Mercury and Jupiter were in Moola Nakshatra of Ketu which was just about to come into his own Nakshatra very soon. This major point which I had miss there as concentration of planets in Ketu’s Nakshatra was a clear indication of epidemic or some bio-weapon being used. But then astrologer’s can only foresee what almighty want them to foresee. Some people are complaining these days that astrologer’s were not able to predict the ‘global economic crisis’ due to Covid-19’ which is not true as a ‘global recession’  was forecasted, but yes we were not able to predict a ‘Pandemic’. But then a war was forecasted in year 2020 and what if tomorrow it get established that ‘COVID-19 was a bio-weapon of China’?

Now to probe deeper into it astrologically I will give some more references from the classical text of mundane astrology.

Effects of Eclipses as Per Bhadra Bahu Samhita

Bhadra Bahu Samhita is a classical text said to be written by Acharya Bhadrabahu who was a Jain Muni, the last Shruta Kevali. It is estimated that he was living at the time of Chandragupta Maurya’s rule. The Hindi translation of this text is available at present which is done by Dr. Nemichandra Shatri and it is in publication since 1956. In the Chapter number 20 of this text stanza number 3 to 7 explain the effects of eclipses both lunar and solar at page number 349. As per this chapter If the Sun is ‘Vikrt’ or deformed at the time of the eclipse then there is a fear of destruction for cities which remains for 13 months, for vehicles it is 14 months, for women’s it is for 15 months, for ministers it is for 16 months and during 19^th and 20^th months there is fear for the death of kings. The stanza number 7 of this chapter 20 on eclipses says, that ‘lunar eclipse may have its bad effects for 5 years and the bad effects of solar eclipse may get felt for 12 years’. Now this is very unique interpretation about the effects of eclipses which I suppose depend upon the number of hours the eclipse remain, its coverage area and the planets involve with it. More the number of planets with Sun and Moon at the time of an eclipse, more the effect of it will be felt in terms of number of years.

At the time of total solar eclipse of 5 February 1962 there were 7 planet in conjunction in the Capricorn sign, including Saturn-Jupiter, which brought major Cuba missile crisis and Indo-China war in 1962. The post effect of this eclipse brought major geo-political changes in the world politics as there was a ‘cold war’ between USA and Soviet Union for decades.  Then the solar eclipse of 26 February 1979 was also very important. At the time of that eclipse Saturn and Rahu were in Leo in opposition with Mercury, Ketu, Sun, Mars and Moon in Aquarius. Jupiter was in Cancer then which later joined Saturn in Leo and then there was Saturn-Jupiter conjunction in Virgo also in 1981. The Iran revolution in 1979, Iran-Iraq war (1980 to 1988) and Soviet invasion of Afghanistan (1979 to 1989) were the major events in the next few years of that big solar eclipse. India has suffered from terrorism in Punjab during 1980’s which resulted into the death of her Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1984.  So Bhadra Bahu Samhita gives us a clue that effect of a solar eclipse can remain for a decade if it is a very major eclipse with Sun getting severely afflicted along with many planets in its conjunction. So will the effects of 26 December 2019 solar eclipse be felt for a very long period ?

Jupiter-Ketu conjunction and pandemic

The nearest hint about an epidemic spread in the works of mundane astrology we get in the  ‘Bhadra Bahu Samhita’ only. In the September 2020 issue of this magazine at page number 32 my write-up with title ‘Jupiter-Ketu conjunction in Moola and Pandemic’ was published. It is in the chapter number 27 of Bhadra Bahu Samhita at page number 318, it is specifically mention that when Jupiter and Ketu join in Moola Nakshatra then people die due to high ever in large numbers. So when Ketu will be in Moola Nakshatra in Sagittarius sign then obviously Rahu will be in opposition in Gemini sign only. The same planetary position we had  got when COVID-19 was declared as Pandemic on 11 March 2020 by WHO at that time Ketu was in Moola and Rahu was in Ardra Nakshatra. Mr. Pradeep Y. Gowda in his brilliant research paper ‘Rahu and Pandemic Outbreaks’, which was published in July and August 2020 issues, had also explain the role of Rahu in Gemini at the time of Pandemic’s with practical examples in a very lucid manner.

China’s secret role in COVID outbreak

In Varahmihir’s Brihat Samhita ‘Graha Bhakti Yoga Adhyay’ chapter number 16 gives significations of various planets. In stanza number 37 and 38 of this chapter about Ketu it is specifically mention that it signify the country ‘China’ , ‘Huna’ and people of ‘white complexion’. Balance of Dasa in Vimshottari: Moon 9 years 11 months 23 days

In China’s foundation chart maha dasa of Mercury started on 24 September 2019 as per Lahiri Ayanamsha. As per Jataka Tattwam’s Pratham Vivek Adhyay stanza number 59 if Mercury is under affliction by malefic planets then it forms ‘Kapti Yoga’ i.e. deceitful and insidious. This is what China has done to the entire world by concealing the information about the virus and continuing to lie. Mercury in the horoscope of China is the lord of 6^th house of revenge and it is also 9^th lord of foreign relations which is going to get more disturbed in future. Mercury is under affliction from 8^th lord Sun and also Ketu. In the foundation chart of China Mercury is retrograde, combust and is in Navamsa of Moon. Important point to note here that Mercury consider Moon as its enemy. As per Jataka Tattwam’s last chapter ‘Dasa Tattwam’ the Dasa period of a planet which is combust or in its enemy sign or in debilitation or in such Navamsa of its enemy can give mixed results. While China’s economy has done better, during financial year 2020-21,  as compare to other major economies of the world but its international reputation has suffer a big dent.

In Mercury-Ketu period from February 2022 to February 2023 there will be more humiliation for China at international platforms as it may then face ‘ a legal case in international court of justice for its alleged role in covid-19 outbreak’. In future  If some concrete evidences were found  that ‘covid-19 was a bio-weapon’ or was leaked deliberately from the Wuhan Institute of Virology under some conspiracy,  then it will be  the violation of ‘Biological Weapons Convention’ signed  by 109 countries, including China, on 10 April 1972 and also a violation of ‘Geneva Protocol 1925’. There are very high chances that China may face some legal case in international court of justice during 2023.

Chart 3. Total Solar Eclipse

The spread of coronavirus pandemic was a major failure of the intelligence agencies around the world, especially of CIA from USA, who were failed to judge the malicious intentions of China. These agencies are still empty handed with respect to the proofs of the alleged outbreak of this epidemic as a bio-weapon or accidental leak. But in future these agencies will be on their guards with a doctrine of ‘bio-warfare’ prepared by major countries to act swiftly if such influenza virus or another deadly virus of such kind outbreak suddenly. Another major geo-political change and global recession is foreseen around the time of total solar eclipse of 2030 when Saturn and Ketu will be in sensitive ‘Rohini Nakshatra’. The opposition of Saturn-Jupiter across Taurus-Scorpio axis will affect India the most. The transit of Rahu-Ketu at the arc of Cancer, Gemini and Taurus will also be there which may bring an epidemic but in a limited area though.

Balance of Dasa in Vimshottari: Saturn 18 years 0 months 25 days

If we superimpose the planetary position of Chart 3 (total solar eclipse) on the foundation horoscope of India then we can understand how sensitive that year of 2030 could be for India when it would be under Vimshottari dasa of Mars-Venus. Mars is the 7^th lord placed in a ‘Maraka house’ which is 2^nd house from the  lagna and Venus is the lord of 6^th house of enemies. Astrologically global economy will be under a period of growth when Jupiter will move into Pisces in April 2022 and it will continue to be good until Jupiter comes into opposition with Saturn in year 2030. It is in year 2030 again that classical principal of Saturn-Jupiter conjunction or opposition bringing about a ‘Durbhiksha’ i.e. global economic recession as per modern times,  will come under application which is given in ‘Bhavishya Phala Bhaskar’ and ‘Mayur Chitram’ as explained in the early part of this write-up. So the astrological time cycle of Saturn-Jupiter has to be studied deeply to understand the upcoming major economic recessions and geo-political changes but it is very difficult to tell how it will manifest exactly.
