Long Stay of Mars in Taurus- What it foretells for India ?

Mars normally stays in a sign for about 45 days but after every 2 years when it gets retrograde then it spends about 5 months in a Rasi. Like other two major planets (Saturn and Jupiter) Mars comes into retrograde motions when it is in the 5^th– 6^th or 8^th-9^th sign from the Sun. It has been observed that at the time of Mars retrograde motion if it is in Kendra (square) or Trikona (trine) from Saturn or Rahu and/or Ketu then that year is marked with violent disturbances.

As per Chitra Paksha Ayanamsa this year Mars will move into Taurus sign on the 10^th of August and then it will move into Gemini on the 16^th of October as before getting retrograde it will be in ‘Manda’ or slow motion (direct but much slow then its mean motion). Mars will become retrograde on the 30^th of October and on the 13^th of November it will move back into Taurus sign in retrograde motion. Mars will become direct only on the 12^th of January 2023 and then again it will enter into Gemini sign on the 12^th of March 2023. So for about a period of 5 months Mars will stay in Taurus sign which is the ascendant of the foundation horoscope of India.

An important point to note here is that Saturn will be in Capricorn during 12^th of July 2022 to 17^th of January 2023 because of its retrograde and then direction motion. So in the last few months of 2022 a retrograde Mars in Taurus will be in Trikona (trine) from Saturn in Capricorn sign. Saturn will be in Dhanishta Nakshatra during this period which as per Brihat Samhita Chapter number 10, ‘Shani Chaar Adhyay’ Sloka 16 gives trouble to ‘Dhana-Adhikari’ i.e. super rich people in the country. Such transit of Saturn from Dhanishta Nakshatra and Mars retrograde motion can give sudden crash of stock markets around the world which will bring a major decline in the wealth of billionaires who had gained appreciations in their fortunes during COVID pandemic period.

Ashimusala Motion of Mars

As per the ‘Bhomachaar Adhyay’, Chapter number 6 of Brihat Samhita of Varahmihira the retrograde motion of Mars are of five kinds known technically as 1. Ushna Mukha 2. Ashru Mukha 3. Vyala Mukha 4. Rudhira Mukha and 5. Asimusala Mukha. These five types of retrograde motion of Mars are calculated on the basis of distance between the Nakshatra in which Mars reappear after his conjunction with the Sun and the Nakshatra in which Mars gets into retrograde motion after its reappearance.

If Mars gets retrograde in the 17^th of 18^th Nakshatra of after its reappearance then it is called ‘Ashimusal Mukha’. Last year on the 29^th of November (in 2021) Mars has reappeared in Visaka Nakshatra. This year Mars is getting into retrograde motion on 30^th of October 2022 in Mrigsira Nakshatra. When we count from Visaka the ‘Uday Nakshatra’ of Mars to the Mrigsira the ‘Vakri Nakshatra of Mars’ we get 17 which as per Brihat Samhita gives ‘Ashimusala Mukha’ motion of Mars. The results of ‘Ashimusala Mangal’ are “fear from bands of robbers, drought and war in the country”. Since Mars is staying for a longer period in Taurus, which is the rising sign of India’s foundation chart so the bad effects of this ‘Ashimusala Mars’ transit will be very signification for us.

In the foundation horoscope of India (chart 1) Moon maha dasa and Mercury Bhukti is running from 10 July 2021 to 10 December 2022. Mercury is involve in the Nakshatra exchange with 10^th and 11^th lord Saturn. The 2^nd and 5^th lord Mercury in Nakshtra exchange with 10^th and 11^th lord Saturn is indicating some major upheavals in the economic policy of the country. Mercury is the lord of 7^th house of war in the Navamsa. The transit Mars in Taurus is getting 44 points in Sarvashtaka Varga and Saturn from Capricorn gets only 20 points. Mars retrograde motion and her long stay in the ascendant of India and Saturn’s retrogression in Capricorn the rising sign of China’s foundation chart is a clear indication of war or major border clash with China which can happen any time before the snow start falling in the November month at the Himalaya’s.

In the Hindu New Year chart of India (chart 2) Gemini the 2^nd house of her foundation chart is rising at the ascendant. Mars as 6^th and 11^th lord is in conjunction with 8^th and 9^th lord Saturn in the 8^th house. Both Mars and Saturn aspect the 2^nd house of government exchequer. This yoga indicates some major economic policy changes and also the discovery of underground wealth like new oil, gas or minerals reserves in the country. But then the 8^th house is also the house of mass deaths, scandals and national mourning. In Navamsha of Hindu New Year Mars and Saturn are both aspects the 8^th house, so the joint influence of these two malefic planets gets a repetition in both Rasi and Navamsa charts.

The horoscope of Republic of a nation is seen for constitutional developments, new laws passed by the parliament and also death of leaders holding constitutional posts. In the Indian Republic horoscope of India (chart 3) the Pisces lagan is rising with the maha dasa of Jupiter and Bhukti of Sun running current from December 2021 to October 2022. Both Jupiter and Sun are in the 11^th house of new legislations. Both are in the Nakshatra of Moon which is in the 2^nd house a ‘Maraka Bhava’. Both these dasa lords are functional malefic in Navamsa.The next Bhukti to come is of Moon which is in a ‘Maraka’ house in Rasi. So a new legislation like common civil code may come and there are also strong indications of death of couple of important leaders holding a constitutional post.

In the annual horoscope for completed year 72^nd of the Indian Republic (chart 4) the Virgo sign is rising which is the 7^th house of the horoscope of Republic. The Muntha (progressed lagna) is in the 7^th house in the annual horoscope getting the aspect of both Mars and Saturn. Muntha lord (Munthesh) is Jupiter which falls in the 6^th house of violence and accidents. In the annual horoscope of a Republic if Muntha comes into the 7^th house and gets afflicted then it is a clear indication for the death of important leader holding a constitutional post.

The indications about ‘national mourning’ given by Hindu New Year chart and Indian Republic horoscope will now be cross checked with the help of some other horoscopes. In the foundation horoscope of BJP (chart 5) the maha dasa of Moon is running and Bhukti of Saturn is from July 2022 to February 2024. Moon as the 2^nd lord is in the 6^th house is taking some ‘Maraka’ propensities. The Bhukti lord Saturn is taking the lordship of 8^th and 9^th house indicating death of leaders and some religious matters. Saturn is in its enemy sign Leo in conjunction with functional malefic Mars, natural malefic Rahu and ‘Maraka’ Jupiter. The Bhukti of Saturn in the horoscope of BJP has the promise for the death of her very prominent leaders holding office of power. In Navamsa Saturn goes into the 8^th house again reconfirming the fearsome things it shows in the Rasi chart.

Chart 6. Total Lunar Eclipse: November 8, 2022 at 16h. 32m. at Delhi (28 N 40, 77 E 13).

Now see the planetary position in the horoscope of Total Lunar Eclipse (chart 6) on 8^th of November 2022 which is visible partially in India. At the time of lunar eclipse the Aries sign, which is the 12^th house of the foundation chart of India, is rising. In the horoscope lagna and 8^th lord Mars is retrograde in Gemini and it aspect the 10^th house and its lord Saturn. The concentration of planets at the 1/7 axis under malefic influences shows a war like situation. In Rasi chart Mars aspect the 6^th house and in Navamsa it is in the 6^th house getting bad aspect of Saturn which shows violence.

Chart 7. Oath Taking Narendra Modi Government 2.0: May 30, 2019 at 19h 04m. at New Delhi (28 N 40, 77 E 13)

Now study the oath taking chart of Narendra Modi Government 2.0 (chart 7) for a last reconfirmation. In the oath taking chart the lagan and 6^th lord Mars is in the 8^th house in Gemini along with malefic Rahu. These two natural malefic planets are in mutual aspect with retrograde Saturn in the 2^nd house. In Navamsa Saturn and Mars both aspect the 7^th house where Sun and Rahu are placed. The party had to suffer from the great loss of her two prominent leaders Sushma Swaraj (died 6^th August 2019) and Arun Jaitely (died 24^th August 2019) just a few days after the swearing-in of Prime Minister Modi. Now when the transiting Mars will be hovering over the Gemini and Taurus sign, which are the 8^th and 7^th houses respectively of the oath taking chart of Modi Government 2.0, then also we can hear some bad news about the death of top most leaders in the government which will shock the entire nation. As per my humble understanding the long stay of Mars in Taurus from mid of August 2022 to mid of March 2023 will bring a national mourning and a major set-back for the central government.

In a surprise development Shiv Sena’s rebel group leader Eknath Shinde sworn-in as the 20th chief minister of Maharashtra on 30th of June after Uddhav Thackeray’s resignation from the post. The most astonishing thing was to see Devender Fadnavis of BJP, the former chief minister, taking the office of deputy chief minister. The former chief minister of BJP will now be reporting to Eknath Shinde, who was at times much junior to him in Maharashtra politics. In the oath taking horoscope of Eknath Shinde the presence of ‘Bala-Arishta’ yoga and ‘Alpayu Yoga’ can bring this new government down anytime in the next one year. On the other-hand the legal battle to get the election symbol and name of the ‘Shiv Sena’ will take a decisive turn next year in the favor of Uddhav Thackeray. Eknath Shinde has support of 40 MLA’s of Shiv Sena while former chief minister Uddhav Thackery has 15 MLA’s with him from the total strength of 55 earlier. In the 288 members Maharashtra legislative assembly BJP won 105 seats, NCP has 55 seats while its ally in the sate Congress party had 44 seats. BJP was not able to form the government in 2019 due to its difference with her partner Shiv Sena on the issue of power sharing. Shiv Sena formed an alliance with NCP and Congress to from the coalition government which run for 2.5 years only.

Although 8th lord Moon is in own house and the 3rd house, which is 8th from 8th, has Saturn in the own house but the aspect of Mars on the 8th house is a ‘Bala-Arishta’ Yoga. Moon placed in the 6th, 8th and/or 12th house if get under the aspect of malefic planet then it cause ‘Bala-Arishta’ yoga which in the oath taking chart of a ruler can give his government short life or tremors in the first year of his tenure.

Ketu is in the 2nd house in its own Nakshtra along with Venus which is the lord of 4th (Simhasana) and 11th house of gains. Ketu is also getting the aspect of lagna lord Moon and in Navamsha chart Ketu is in the 10th house of power. Since there is no influence of 5th lord and/or 9th lord on the dasha lord Ketu so Fadnavis has to be contented with the post of a minister but not the chief minister which he was aiming for since long time. In Ketu-Ketu dasha Mr. Fadnavis may not get much success in the coming BMC elections in the second half of 2022. But he will continue to become a very important leader of Maharashtra in coming years as Ketu dasha is for 7 years and the depositor of Ketu is Sun which is strongly placed in his Janma lagan.

Punjab health minister Vijay Singla was arrested by anti-corruption bureau of the state after Chief minister Bhagwant Mann has sacked him on the charges of corruption in the last week of May 2022. Famous Punjabi singer ‘Sidhu Moose Wala’ was shot dead on the 29th of May which brough major criticism for the New AAP government in Punjab who had ordered to reduce the security of more than 400 VIP’s in the state. Earlier law and order problem created trouble for AAP government after an ‘Anti Khalistan Protest on 29 April.
