Prospects for India at Paris Olympics 2024 – An astrological analysis

Indian contingent of 113 sports person will compete in 16 sports at Paris Olympics schedule to be held from 26^th of July to 12^th of August. The participating group from India will be led by Achanta Sharat Kamal (flag bearer) and P.V. Sindhu at the opening day parade. Athletics, Archery, Boxing, Shooting, Wrestling, Badminton etc. are the areas where Indian’s have hope to win medals at the Olympics. In the last Olympics at Tokyo in 2021 India had won 7 medals (1 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze). As per the astrological analysis of the foundation horoscope of India, Hindu New Year horoscope of 2024 and the solar ingress of Cancer chart 2024, the India is likely to win more medals in Paris Olympics as compare to her last performances at Tokyo.

Chart 1. Foundation Horoscope of India

In the Taurus lagna foundation horoscope of India the Vimshottari Dasha of the Moon Anter Dasha of Venus and Pratyanter Dasha of Jupiter is running from 15th of May to 4th of August this year. The Maha Dasha lord the Moon is 3rd lord (sports) and is in own sign. The Anter Dasha lord Venus is the lord of lagna and the 6th but it is in planetary war due to within degree of longitude and latitude conjunction with Saturn. The Pratyanter Dasha lord Jupiter is the lord of 8th and the 11th house (gains). Just recently India has won T-20 Cricket World Cup on the 29th of June defeating South Africa at Kingston Oval at Barbados. In transit the Pratyanter Dasha lord Jupiter is moving into Taurus where he get favorable 44 points in Sarvashtakavarga and 6 points in Bhinnashtaka Varga which are very good.

In my article posted on the 8th of April this year with title ‘Astrological Forecast for Hindu New Year 2024-25 for India’ i had given a prediction that this year will be excellent for India to achieve great success in sports. These predictions were also published in the March 2024 issue of the Express Star Teller Magazine.

Chart 2. Horoscope of Hindu New Year 2024-25

In the Hindu New Year horoscope Sagittarius lagna rising and the 3^rd house (sports) has Mars and Saturn in it. Saturn as the 3^rd lord in conjunction with 5^th lord Mars is very good for achievements in sports. India have recently won T-20 world cup in cricket during this month of July. This cricket word cup is the biggest win of Indian cricket team since 2011 ODI world cup. The third house is the house of sports activity and 5^th house is entertainment. The conjunction of their respective lords in the Hindu New Year horoscope is a good indication for Indian sports person’s performances at the upcoming Paris Olympics’ during 26^th of July to 12^th of August this year. In the Navamsha chart of Hindu New Year 2024 the 3^rd lord is Mercury which is placed in the lagna and the 5^th lord is the Sun which is strong in the 11^th house of gains.

The solar ingress of Cancer will hold its sway during the stay of Sun in Cancer sign (Karka Rashi) from 16^th of July to 16^th of August for a period of 30 days. In the Karka Samkranti or Solar Ingress of Cancer the Virgo lagan is rising which is the 5^th house of the foundation horoscope of India. The lord of 3^rd house in this chart is Mars which is giving aspect to its own house. Jupiter and Saturn are also giving aspects to the 3^rd house of sports. Also, the 5^th house of entertainment is getting aspects of Sun, Venus, Mercury and also Jupiter. So, this time period will be very significant for sports persons, film stars, authors, stock market traders etc. of India.

In the last Olympic Games in Tokyo India has won 7 medals (1 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze). Neeraj Chopra’s gold in Jevelin throw was the highlight for India in Tokyo Olympic. Neeraj Chopra is only the second after Abhinav Bindra to win an individual Olympic Gold medal for our country. This year at Paris Neeraj Chopra is likely to create a history after winning the second gold medal in Javelin throw in consecutive Olympic events as stars are very promising for India at the time of this event in Paris. Apart from it the aspect of both Mars and Saturn on the 3^rd house of sports in the solar ingress of Cancer horoscope in both Rashi and Navamsha is an indication of a good performance by Indian athletes at Paris Olympics as they can surpass the tally of 7 medals in the previous edition of this game.

Tree Plantation: The Best Astrological Remedy in Modern Times

In Hindu culture, the tradition of worshiping the mother nature in its various forms , and giving respect to its existence has been there since ancient times. In religious texts, Puranas and astrological books , along with many gods and goddesses, there are also provisions for worshiping the Sun, the Moon , rivers, mountains, seas, water bodies, trees etc. In the Brihat Parashar Hora Shastra, the most ancient and respected classical text on astrology, many remedies have been given to remove the obstacles in procreation due to inauspicious deeds of the previous births. These remedies include the construction of wells, ponds etc. and planting and worshiping trees like Peepal and Banyan.The remedies has been discussed briefly in chapter number 84 of Purva Janma Shrapa Adhyay of Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra. As per my humble understanding of this subject the tree plantation as per the Moon sign or Nakshatra or as per the consideration of the weak or an evil planet in the chart is the best remedy in modern times. It is cost effective and helpful in the environmental cause and also boost the agriculture economy.

The names of trees and plants of 27 constellations have been given in the texts of Vastu Shastra. The tradition of planting trees according to one’s birth constellation or birth zodiac is prevalent in many parts of the West Bengal and South Indian states. In hilly region of Uttarakhand, Harela festival dedicated to the worship of nature is celebrated in the lunar month of Ashadha, just 9 days before the month of Shravan, in which conscious people also plant trees. Inspired by this Harela festival, every year in the first week of July, the Government of India organizes the Van Mahotsav.

The Van Mahotsav is being celebrated since 1950 in India. In the 1950s, the then Agriculture Minister K.M. Munshi had started Van Mahotsav to encourage tree plantation. Now let’s see what astrological texts tell us about the trees that comes under various planets. We can plant the trees as per the weak or the evil planet in a particular horoscope as a mean to perform its astrological remedy.

Types of Trees Signified by Planets

In chapter 3, Graha Swarupa Adhyay, verses 40 and 41 of Brihat Parashar Hora Shastra, it has been mentioned about the trees coming under the influence of planets like the Sun, the Moon, Mars etc.

Sun – hard wood trees – thick wood trees like Sheesham, Shaal etc.

Moon – milk yielding trees, juice yielding trees like Deodar, Jackfruit etc.

Mars – thorny trees – Babool, Khair, bitter trees like Neem

Mercury – trees without fruits.

Jupiter – All the fruit bearing trees.

Venus – All the flowering trees.

Saturn – Dull trees without fruits and flowers.

The bad effects of a planet which is weak or in an unfavorable state in the birth chart can be reduced by planting a tree that comes under it.

Trees Signified by various Nakshatra’s

In Hindu astrology, the zodiac cycle is divided into 27 constellations. In some texts of Vastu Shastra, the name of each tree or plant that comes under these 27 constellations has been given. If we plant a tree or plant according to our birth constellation and take care of it as much as possible, then its auspicious effect is seen throughout life. The following trees and plants come under the 27 constellations from Ashwini to Revati.

1.Ashwani – Ashwath, 2. Bharani – Makartaru, 3. Krittika – Gular, 4. Rohini – Jamun, 5. Mrigshira – Khadir (Khair), 6. Ardra – Krishna tree, 7. Punarvasu – Punarnava, 8. Pushya – Peepal, 9. Ashlesha – Nagvriksha.

Remedies of planting trees according to Puranas

Along with the texts of astrology and Vastu, there is a provision of planting many types of trees and plants in the Puranas for reducing bad effects of evil planets, for the happiness of ancestors and the gods/goddesses. In Vishnudharmottar Purana, Manu Smriti, Bhavishya Purana, Padma Purana, Varah Purana, Matsya Purana and Shiva Purana etc., planting of trees and plants is mentioned. It has been said that this is helpful to increase longevity, strength, fame, happiness of children, virtue in the afterlife etc. It has been mentioned in many Puranas that planting trees like Peepal, Banyan, Neem, Amla, Ashok, Tulsi, Bel, Palash etc. in the month of Ashadha pleases Lord Vishnu, Lakshmi Ji and other gods and goddesses. According to astrology, there is a significance of planting Madar tree for the Sun, Palash for the Moon, Khair for Mars, Apamarg for Mercury, Peepal for Jupiter, Gular for Venus and Shami tree for Saturn.

Horoscope of New Moon of 6th of July 2024 and Danger of Flood

The South West monsoon in Kerala had arrived on the 30th of May this year. In the June issue of the Express Star Teller at page number 33 paragraph number 2 in the article ‘Southwest Monsoon 2024’ a prediction of an Early onset of monsoon over Kerala was made by me which came out correct. However, the rainfall in the month of June is 11% deficient. The state of Kerala (-25%) and coastal Karnataka (-14%) has received less rainfall. Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh has also received less rainfall in the month of June. In the month of July we expect more than normal rainfall due to good placement of planets in the New Moon horoscope (6th of July 2024) and also in the Solar Ingress of Cancer chart (16th of July 2024). In my article “Forecasting Trends for the South West Monsoon for India in 2024” posted on the 31st of May i had forecast an early onset of monsoon in Delhi-NCR on the 28th and 29th of June. Forecasting Trends for the South West Monsoon 2024

Now the transiting Jupiter from Taurus sign is behind the Sun which as per Bhavishya Phala Bhaskar is a yoga for very good rainfall. Also, Venus is about to come into Cancer sign and join Mercury which is another very good Yoga for the rainfall. This astrological phenomena will bring very heavy rainfall in the North and North-West Part of India from the 6th of July Anavasya.

6th of July 2024, 04:27 a.m. at Delhi

But the Saturn will be retrograde in Aquarius and Jupiter will be in fast moving motion from Taurus sign. The retrogression of Saturn and the fast moving motion of Jupiter during the monsoon season is a yoga for erratic rainfall as per Bhavishya Phala Bhaskara. So, during the month of July there will be excess rainfall in North India, Western Parts of India and also in Punjab Province of Pakistan. But many other places of the Indian sub-continent will receive less than normal rainfall which would be a concern.

Mars in Kritika Nakshatra and Danger for Ayodhya

From the 12th of July to 28th of July Mars will remain in Kritika Nakshatra.

The holy city of Ayodhya is ruled by Kritika Nakshatra as per the Avakahada Chakra. Recently on the 26th and 27th of June the per-monsoon rains in Ayodhya witnessed the collapse of newly-build infrastructure, water logging and inundation of streets were also in news. On the 27th of June the Moon and Saturn were in Purva Bhadrapada Nakshtra giving Vedha to the Kritika Nakshatra ruled by Ayodhya. Now Mars is about to enter Kritika Nakshatra in the second week of July only.

Nakshatra Sangatta Chakra and Predictions about Flood in Ayodhya City

More rains will come in the second week of July in the eastern and central parts of UP affecting Ayodhya ruled by Kritika Nakshatra and Varanasi ruled by Rohini Nakshatra as per Avakahada Chakra. Mars transiting in Kritika Nakshtra and Jupiter in Rohini will bring water logging and flood like conditions in Ayodhya and Varanasi region. In Nakshatra Sangatta Chakra Mars is in Kritika Nakshatra on the 10th of July is getting Vedha from Saturn transiting in Purvabhadra Pada Nakshtra. In the second fortnight of July this Veda will continue and there will be disturbances in the central Uttar Pradesh area and also in Ayodhya region.

Mars in Rohini Nakshatra and Danger of an Earthquake

The transiting Mars will be in Rohini Nakshatra from 26th of July to 10th of August this year. This period shows a danger of an earthquake as Mars will be in Rohini along with Jupiter and these two major planets will be in Kendra from retrograde Saturn which is a yoga for an earthquake. In the hilly areas of India and Pakistan there will be a danger from destruction of lives and property during this period of Mars transit from Rohini and also around the Full Moon of 20th of August when an earthquake may also come in the Norther Parts of India and Punjab Province of Pakistan.

Planets and French Legislative Elections 2024

French President Emmanuel Macron had announced an early legislative elections for which voting shall be held in two rounds, on 30th of June and 7th of July respectively, to elect 577 seats in the National assembly. After a stunning defeat in the European Parliament Election early this month the French President has taken a gamble to stop the advances of the far right ‘National Rally’ party of Marine Le Pen. The last legislative elections in France were held in 2022 in which Emmanuel Macron’s party Renaissance has lost the majority resulting a hung parliament for the first time since 1988 elections. At present the Capricorn lagna horoscope of Emmanuel Macron is going under an adverse Dasha period of Rahu-Sun in which more troubles are foreseen for him. On the other hand the Virgo lagna horoscope of Marine Le Pen is under better Dasha period of Rahu-Mercury which shows more gains for her National Rally party.

Emmanuel Macron’s Peculiar Horoscope and French Presidential Elections 2022

Interesting thing to observe here is that during the lunar month of Ashada we have a 13 days fortnight due to the Tithi Kshaya of Pratipada and Chathurdashai Tithi’s. As per my humble understanding the defeat of Rishi Sunak’s Conservative party in the upcoming UK General Elections on the 4th of July and a set back to the Emmanuel Macron in this crucial French Legislative elections will drastically change the politics of Europe which will have very long lasting effects on the present world order.

Chart 1: Horoscope of Emmanuel Macron

Born December 21, 1977 at 10h. 40m. at Amiens ( 2 E 18’, 48 N 54’) in France with balance of 8 years 7 months 8 days of Venus Dasha.

In the Capricorn lagan chart of Macron there is a very good exchange of houses between 4^th lord Mars and 7^th lord Moon which had given him a great public image and popularity. Moon getting into conjunction, aspect or sign exchange with her sign lord is a good Parashari Raja Yoga. Here a debilitated and retrograde Mars in the 7^th house also amply explain his unconventional marriage.

Macron’s wife Brigitte Trogneux is 24 years senior to him and was his high school teacher earlier. They had first met when Macron was a 15 year old student and Brigitte was a 39 year old teacher.

Vipreet Raja Yoga’s in Macron’s horoscope

The birth chart of Emmanuel Macron is a classic example of Vipreet Raja Yoga’s. The lord of ‘Dustahan’s (6^th, 8^th and 12^th) are placed in each other’s houses. The 6^th lord Mercury is in the 12^th house, 8^th lord Sun is also in the 12^th house and 12^th lord Jupiter is placed in the 6^th house. In Maha Dasha of Rahu since July 2009 Macron has enjoyed a great rise in his career; first as a civil servant and then as a politician. Rahu is in its friendly sign Virgo and in the Navamsha of Gemini which is excellent. If we make the Maha Dasha lord Rahu the ‘Dasha lagna’ then the 10^th house from Rahu in the birth chart has a strong Jupiter getting aspect from Sun and Mercury. In Navamsha the 10^th from Rahu has exalted Venus and in Dashamasa the 10^th from Rahu has strong Mars and Jupiter. It was no surprise that this Rahu Maha Dasha has gave him a great political rise and later he became French president in Anter Dasha of Saturn in May 2017.

Crisis foreseen in Rahu Dasha and the Sun Anter Dasha

At present the Maha Dasha of Rahu and Anter Dasha of the Sun is running in the Capricorn lagna horoscope of Emmanuel Macron from 15th of February 2024 to 9th of January 2025. The Sun is in the 12th house of birth chart and in Dashamasha it is in its enemy sign Capricorn. From the Maha Dasha lord Rahu the Anter Dasha lord the Sun is taking the lordship of the 12th house of losses. It was no surprise that during this Sun Anter Dasha Macron’s party face a defeat in the European Union Elections. Now in the Rahu Dasha the Sun Anter Dasha and Jupiter Pratyanter Dasha from 6th of June to 20th of July 2024 more setback and losses are foreseen for Emmanuel Macron’s party in the upcoming French Legislative elections.

As per the Jaimini system the Chara Dasha of Taurus is running from December 2019 to December 2025 is showing the downfall in the popularity of Emmanuel Macron in France. The Amatayakaraka the Moon is in the 12th house from the Dasha Rashi Taurus. The 10th Pada is in the 8th house Sagittarius which is also not good. The Atamakaraka Venus and the Putrakaraka Saturn both aspect the 12th house from the Dasha Rashi Taurus which shows losses and failure in the executions of his political strategies.

Chart 2: Horoscope of Marine Le Pen

Born August 5, 1968 at 11h. 20m. at Neuilly ( 2 E 16’, 48 N 53’) in France with balance of 2 years 5 months 19 days of Ketu Dasha.

In the Virgo lagna horoscope of French lawyer and politician Marine Le Pen the 5^th house is getting the aspects of Saturn, Mars, Sun and Mercury. The 10^th house of career is getting the aspects from the Moon and Saturn. While the 10^th lord Mercury is with Mars and Sun making good yoga for practicing law and getting prominence in a political career. Moon getting the aspect from her sign lord Jupiter is a good Raja Yoga.

In the Vimshottari Dasha of Rahu Anter Dasha of Mercury and the Pratyanter Dasha of Saturn from 28th of February to 24th of July 2024 gains are foreseen for Marine Le Pen and her ‘National Rally’ party. Mercury the Anter Dasha lord is in the 11th house of gains and at present it is transiting in its own sign at the 10th house in Gemini. The Pratyanter Dasha lord Saturn is in good Vipreet Raja Yoga and also it is Vargottama. A debilitated planet in the 3rd, 6th, 8th and 11th house give good results if the lagna is strong as per a Parashari rule.

As per the Jaimini system the Chara Dasha of Aries is running since August 2023. Aries is the 8th house from her Janma lagna but it is 10th from her Atamakaraka the Sun in Cancer and 5th from her Karakamasha lagna which is Sagittarius. The 10th Pada is in Leo which is 5th from the Aries sign. The Amatayakaraka Mercury is in the 4th from the Aries sign along with Atamakaraka the Sun and Putrakaraka Mars. These three Karaka’s are making good Raja Yoga and they aspect the 11th house from Dasha Rashi Aries showing major gains for Marine Le Pen and her National Rally Party in the up coming French Legislative elections 2024. Although the National Rally Party will not win a majority but will get impressive seats in the up coming elections bringing a change in the politics of Western Europe with the rise of far right.
