Raj Yoga’s in the horoscopes of top corporate leaders

As per the classical text Maansagri Moon (Chandra) is Beeja (seed), birth chart is tree and Navamsha along with other divisional charts are the fruits of that tree. In Sage Parashara’s Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, the ‘Chandra Yoga Adhayaa’ is given just before the ‘Raja Yoga Adhayaa’ (Chapter number 40) with some important clues about the method to interpret the Raja Yoga’s and other important yoga’s in a horoscope. In the last Sloka (stanza) of Chandra Yoga Adhayaa ( sloka number 13 in the chapter number 38) of Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra it is clearly mention that “Inauspicious yoga’s in Chandra Kundali destroy all the effects of other good yoga’s so first one should analysis the yoga’s from Chandra Kundali only”. This most important Sloka in the Chandra Yoga Adhayaa is many a time overlooked which result into misinterpretation of the horoscope in general.

Almost every practicing astrologer had experience it, people knowing basics of astrology often complain that ‘we have so many good Raja Yoga’s and Dhana Yoga’s in our charts but why they are not fructifying’? As per my humble understanding there are three major reasons why Raja Yoga’s and/or Dhana Yoga’s do not fructify in some horoscopes.

Inauspicious yoga’s in Chandra Kundali like malefic planets (Saturn, Mars, Rahu and Ketu) in Kendra (square) from Moon, Kemadruma Yoga present in the chart or Moon in ‘Paap Kartari Yoga’ and weak in Paksha-Bala force all the good yoga to lose their effects.
In some horoscopes Raja Yoga’s are present in birth chart but the planets involve in Raja Yoga’s get weak in Navamsha and Dashamsha charts or there is no important Raja Yoga in Navamsha and Dashamsha chart then person get only moderate success.
In some horoscopes Raja Yoga’s or Dhana Yoga’s are present in birth chart, Navamsha and Dashamsha but person do not get the Dasha of planets involve in those yoga’s. In such cases moderate success in predicted.

Now I will give you the examples of some of the top corporate leaders to make you understand how the good alignment of Raja Yoga’s and Dhana Yoga’s in three important divisional charts (Rashi Chart, Navamsha and Dashamsha) along with timely dasha had helped them to reach pinnacle of their industry. In some case studies birth details have not been given to maintain confidentiality.

Case 1. Managing Director of an International Fashion Brand

Balance of Dasha in Vimshottari: Ketu 1 years 6 months 2 days

This is the horoscope of a corporate professional who was awarded as the ‘Retail Icon of India’ in year 2019 for his excellent work in high-end fashion apparel industry since last 20 years. He is graduate from the National Institute of Fashion Technology in Delhi and has led many multinational companies dealing in fashion garments since two decades. In the Cancer lagna chart of this native one can spot Yoga Karaka Mars giving aspect to the lagna and its lord Moon which is an excellent Raja Yoga. Mars giving aspect to the 2^nd lord Sun which is exalted in the 10^th house is a big Dhana Yoga.

Now see the Navamsha chart here lagan lord Sun is in mutual aspect with Yoga Karaka Mars and also 2^nd and 11^th lord Mercury. So Raja Yoga in the birth chart has got strength here in Navamsha. Also notice a Gaja Kesari Yoga in both birth chart and Navamsha which makes his Moon very strong.

Now come to the Dashamsha to find that there 10^th house of the birth chart Aries is rising in the ascendant receiving the aspect of 5^th lord Sun and 9^th lord Jupiter. So again a big Raja Yoga has repeated in Dashamsha chart which is a very important divisional chart for career. In Dashamsha chart lagna lord Mars is in the 8^th house with 4^th lord Moon in ‘Neecha-Bhanga’ Yoga and they are in mutual aspect with 2^nd lord Venus in a grand Dhana Yoga. During the maha dasha of Mars from November 2008 to November 2015 he was at the peak of his career in corporate world of fashion garments when he was leading a top MNC in Asia Pacific. I have explained how Mars is making good Raja Yoga in all the three charts and during its dasha he was destined to enjoy best time of his career. In Rahu dasha also he got success as Rahu in birth chart is associated with yogakaraka Mars. Also notice the depositor of Rahu in all the three important charts given above and you will find they are in good yoga’s.

Case 2. CEO in a top Fashion Brand

7 May 1974, 18:43 hours at Deoria, UP

Balance of Dasha in Vimshottari: Saturn 13 yeas 7 months 19 days

This Libra lagna horoscope is another astrological example on the point how major Raja Yoga’s repetition in birth chart, Navamsha and Dashamsha is an absolute must for reaching great height in life. In Libra (Tula) lagna horoscope lagna lord Venus is exalted in the 6^th house and is under the aspect of 4^th and 5^th lord Saturn which is Yogakaraka for this lagna. A beautiful exchange between 7^th lord Mars and 9^th lord Mercury is another Raja Yoga in this chart. Then 2^nd and 7^th lord Mars in conjunction with 4^th and 5^th lord Saturn is a Raja Yoga as well as Dhana Yoga. Moon, though in Kemadruma, is in excellent Gaja Kesari Yoga. In Navamsha also Moon is in good Gaja Kesari yoga and there are good benefic planets in Kendra.

In Navamsha Venus as the 5^th lord is conjoined with 2^nd lord Moon in a good Dhana Yoga. The aspect of 9^th lord Saturn on the Moon and Venus is a good Raja Yoga as well as Dhana Yoga. We need to remember this that Kendra lords (1,4,7 and 10) in association with trine lords (1,5 and 9) make good Raja Yoga. The 2^nd and 11^th lord in connection with trine lords (1,5 and 9) make good Dhana Yoga as per Parashari rules.

In Dashamsha chart the 9^th house from Janma lagna, which is Gemini , is rising with its lord Mercury giving aspect to it. Venus as the 5^th lord is in mutual aspect with 9^th lord Saturn and 7^th lord Jupiter is again in good Raja Yoga. So we have seen Venus is in Raja Yoga’s in all the three divisional charts. It was no surprise when he became CEO of a big Fashion Garment MNC of Europe working in India in 2013 during his Venus-Venus Dasha in Vimshottari. He was at the age of 39 then which was a big achievement for him to become a CEO of multinational company working in India. His later become CEO of a big Indian Fashion brand in 2019 after changing job in Venus-Rahu period in Vimshottari.

Case 3. Owner of India’s top Water Purifier Brand

24 September 1954, 16:45 hours at Delhi

Balance of Dasha in Vimshottari: Ketu 2 years 7 months and 6 days

This Aquarius (Khumbha) lagna chart is of an IIT graduate engineer, who after working in petroleum industry for years started a RO (reverse osmosis) Water Purifier company in late 1990’s which revolutionized this segment in India. His water purifier brand has become a household name since last one decade and he now export his product to many countries. In his Aquarius lagna chart lagan lord Saturn is exalted in the 9^th house with 5^th lord Mercury and 9^th lord Venus in a grand Raja Yoga and Dhana Yoga. From the Moon there is no major Raja Yoga but there are some Dhana Yoga’s which is one of the reason that he got success very late after completing the age of 48. He started his water purifier manufacturing company in late 1990s when he was 45 years of age. After some struggle he got success in Rahu-Jupiter dasha (from 2003 to 2005). Rahu is in the 11^th house of gains and it is with 10^th lord Mars. Rahu’s depositor Jupiter is exalted and giving aspect to the 10^th house of career.

In Navamsha Rahu is in the 10^th house of career and receiving the aspect of 9^th lord Sun. In Dashamsha Rahu is in the 3^rd house along with lagna lord Mars there. Noticeable point here is that in his birth chart Saturn, Mercury and Venus create the major Raja Yoga’s but he didn’t enjoyed dashas of these planets during his corporate career. He had Venus maha dasha from 1957 to 1977 when he was a student and had just started his career after post-graduation in engineering.

It is the maha dasha of Rahu that gave him tremendous rise after year 2002 when he had completed the age of 48. Unlike the two cases we had discuss above this native reached at the pinnacle of his industry very late as he got favorable dasha at later stage of his life. Though he had good Raja Yoga’s in birth chart, Navamsha and Dashamsha charts. See in Navamsha Dhanu lagna is rising with 5^th lord Mars in the 11^th house with 7^th and 10^th lord Mercury in good Raja Yoga. Aspect of 11^th lord Venus on them is a great Dhana Yoga. In Dashamsha the 10^th house is getting the aspects of lagna lord Mars and 5^th lord Sun. The 10^th lord Saturn is in the 11^th house in own sign. It was the favorable dasha of Rahu which gave him rise as it is the only planet which is involve in excellent yoga in all the three Varga charts discuss above.

Case 4. MD of Global Financial Service Company

2 October 1964, 20:55 hours at Delhi

Balance of Dasha in Vimshottari: Ketu 2 years 8 months 12 days

This Taurus (Vrishabha) lagna chart is of a former MD (managing director) of a renowned global financial service company having its head office in London (UK). This gentleman and his younger brother both are famous financial consultants now. As per Sage Parashara Sun-Mercury conjunction is the best Raja Yoga for Taurus lagna natives. Sun as the 4^th lord is with Mercury in the 5^th house. The aspect of 11^th lord Jupiter on this Yoga makes a grand Dhana Yoga. He is a millionaire at present and lives a lavish life in London. The lagna lord Venus is in the 4^th house in mutual aspect with 10^th and 9^th lord Saturn is another grand Raja Yoga. Then notice here the strength of Moon which is getting ‘Dig Bala’ at the 4^th house with benefic Venus and Jupiter in Kendra from it. We have a debilitated Mars in the 3^rd house which is excellent. As per Raja Yoga Adhayaa of Parashara Hora Shastra a debliteated planet in the 3^rd, 6^th and 8^th house gives Raja Yoga if lagna happen to be strong. Here the lagna is very strong as its lord is involve in good Raja Yoga.

In Navamasha we have two benefic planet Jupiter and Venus in Kendra. The lagna lord Mars is in mutual aspect with 4^th lord Moon is forming a good Raja Yoga. The 5^th lord Sun in mutual aspect with 10^th lord Saturn is another Raja Yoga. In Dashamsha again Aries the 12^th house of his Janma lagna is rising. Here there are more number of Raja Yoga’s. The 5^th lord Sun with 4^th lord Moon is a good Raja Yoga. Then we have a good Gaja Kesari Yoga here and there is a good ‘Neecha Bhanga’ for Venus in Dashamsha.

His rise started in Sun maha dasha (1987 to 1993) when he started working in financial institution. Later maha dasha of Moon (1993 to 2003) and Mars (2003 to 2010) gave him great success. We have discuss above how these planets are involve in good Raja Yoga’s in three divisional charts. Rahu dasha since June 2010 is also giving decent success as Rahu’s depositor is Mercury which is in good Raja Yoga with Sun.

Now I will take up a different case in which a person despite having good Raja Yoga’s in his birth chart got only moderate success as he didn’t get proper dasha of planets involve in these auspicious yoga’s.

Case 5. CEO in Fashion house

24 December 1975, 05:58 hours at Passighat, Arunachal Pradesh

Longitude: 95 E 20’ and Latitude: 28 N 04’

Balance of Dasha in Vimshottari: Venus 14 years 5 months 2 days

This native of Sagittarius (Dhanu) lagna has very good Raja Yoga of 9^th lord Sun and 10^th lord Mercury in the ascendant. As per Sage Parashara 9^th lord and 10^th lord make a very good Raja Yoga for Dhanu lagna natives. Here the aspect of 5^th lord Mars on this yoga give it additional strength. Then we have a strong lagna lord Jupiter in 4^th house in its own Rashi making a good “Hansa Mahapurush Yoga”. But the native got only moderate success in corporate world, why ? He also tried his hand in politics in year 2014 but didn’t get any success. He is currently CEO of a medium scale Indian fashion garment company. Noticeable point here is that in his chart he do not have major Raja Yoga’s in Navamsha and Dashamsha charts. It is only in his Rashi chart there are good number of Raja Yoga’s.

Then notice Moon which is not involve in any big Raja Yoga in birth chart and Navamsha. There is no benefic in Kendra from Moon in Rashi chart and Navamsha. He didn’t get the maha dasha of Mercury which is in excellent Raja Yoga in his birth chart and is strong in Navamsha chart also. It is the maha dasha of Mars (2006 to 2013) which made him CEO of a fashion house. Mars is strong from both lagna and Moon. In Rahu-Rahu dasha in Vimshottari he tried his hand in politics but didn’t get election ticket. Rahu is in the 11^th house of gains with 11^th lord Venus but it is not involve in any Raja Yoga. In Navamsha and Dashamsha Rahu is not involve in any good Raja Yoga. So this native has to satisfy with moderate success in past as CEO in a medium scale company.

Horoscope of Chirag Paswan and Some Notes on Chandra lagna

In Vedic Astrology the yoga’s from Chandra lagna or Moon sign has been given very special importance. In Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra’s chapter number 38 ‘Chandra Yoga Adhyay’ sloka number 13, the Sage Parashara has specifically instructed us to see all the good and bad yoga’s from Chandra Kundali before venturing into the other yoga’s result in the horoscope. Sage Parashara has clearly mentioned that bad yoga’s from Chandra lagan destroy all the other good Yoga’s (Raja Yoga’s and Dhana Yoga’s), so for this reason the yoga’s from Chandra Kundali should be taken into consideration first. So in an analysis of any horoscope the yoga’s from Chandra lagna or Moon sign should be the starting point. In this article i am discussing the horoscope of Chirag Paswan and his father late Ram Vilas Paswan as an example case on how to study a ‘Chandra Kundali’.

Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party is fighting on the 143 assembly seats out of 243 seats in the Bihar assembly polls which are underway now. The results of these elections will come on the 10th of November 2020. I had earlier discussed the horoscopes of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav in my article posted on 12th of Sepember 2020, the link of which is given below.

Bihar Assembly Elections 2020- An Astrological Study

Interestingly Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav both have Kemadruma Moon in their horoscopes. In Nitish Kumar’s Gemini lagna chart Moon is in Scorpio sign in the 6th house receiving the aspect of Saturn from the 4th house. Jupiter, Sun, Mercury and Rahu are in the 4th house from Moon in sign Aquarius. Jupiter in the Kendra from Moon creates a ‘Gaja Kesari’ yoga. Mercury in Kendra from Moon makes ‘Amala Keerti’ yoga. These Yoga’s has been given in Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra’s Chandra Yoga Adhyay (chapter number 38). Thus in Nitish Kumar’s chart there is good cancellation of Kemadruma Yoga. In Tejashwi Yadav’s Capriocrn chart Moon is in Aquarius receiving the aspect of its sign lord Saturn. His birth took place in day time, Moon is in Navamsha of its friend Mercury and Moon get the aspect of Jupiter which is very good yoga for prosperity as per Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra’s Chandra Yoga Adhyay sloka number 4. As per this sloka if the birth took place in day time and Moon is in its own Navamsha or its friends Navamsha getting aspect of Jupiter then it gives lots of prosperity. If the birth took place in nigth time and Moon is in own Navamsha or friendly Navamsha receiving the aspect of Venus then it give lots of prosperity. So in Tejashwi’s case also the Kemadruma Yoga of Moon get diluted just like in the case of Nitish Kumar. The presense of auspicious Yoga’s from Chandra Lagna reduce the bad effects of Kemadruma Yoga to a very large extent.

Horoscope of Chirag Pawan

31 October 1982, 12:15 hours at Madhubani, Bihar

Longitude: 84 E 06′ and Latitude: 27 N 01′

Balance of Dasha in Vimshottari: Mercury 3 Years 2 months 14 days

Chirag Paswan is the son of former minister of parliament and cabinet minister Shri Ram Vilas Paswan. His father was the founder of a regional party Lok Janshakti which was formed on 28 November 2000 after a deflection from Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal United. Ram Vilas Paswan was very successful when it comes to clinging to the power and political opportunism as he served in the cabinet of five Indian prime minister’s from 1996 to 2000. But his son Chirag Paswan’s horoscope is not very promising as we can see there that Moon is in Kemadruma Yoga with no benefic planet giving aspect to it and/or in Kendra from it. In Chirag Paswan’s chart Moon though is Vargottama in Pisces sign in the 3rd house of creative talent. He was an actor who did a Hindi movie in 2011 but wasn’t very successful. It was the Vimshottari dasha of Venus-Mercury in his horoscope which brought him into the glamor world of Hindi cinema in Mumbai.

Chirag Paswan is an engineering graduate as we can see in his horoscope his 5th lord Venus is in the Naksthra of Rahu. But Venus as the 5th and 10th lord is deep combust with 8th lord Sun which can be bad for his career in the future. Although in Capricorn lagna chart Saturn, Mercury and Venus forms very good Raja Yoga but here they are conjoined with functional malefic Sun which is combusting all these planets. Sun as the 8th lord and Jupiter as the 12th lord in the 10th house of career do not show very high political position for him. From Chandra Kundali all these planets are in the 8th house which is not auspicious.

Shoola Yoga in Chirag Paswan’s chart

One should also see ‘Nabhas Yoga’s in the horosclope for making a general interpretation about a native’s life. In case of Chirag Paswan we have all the planets in 3 sign’s only , making a ‘Shoola Yoga’. In Nabhasa Yoga’s shadow planets Rahu and Ketu are not take into consideration. The ‘Shoola Yoga’ gives native trouble from the enemies and also create obstacles in career. Chirag Paswan is under Moon-Rahu period in Vimshottari (June 2020 to December 2021) which shows some setback in his political career. Moon is in Kemadruma Yoga and anter dasha lord Rahu is in the 6th house of struggles. Rahu is receiving the aspect of 6th lord Jupiter which is good ‘Ashta-Lakshmi’ yoga but then Mars from the 12th house also aspect this Rahu. So during this sub period of Rahu we have seen Chirag Paswan taking the bold decision of fighting assembly elections along and now that too in the absence of his father who had experience of more than 50 years in politics. His father had mostly done politics by making alliances with different political parties but Chirag seems to be more ambitious who wanted to be a ‘king maker’ in Bihar politics. Will his political ambitions or imaginations get fulfilled ?

As per my humble understanding Chirag Paswan will get a huge setback as his party is not likely to do well in the assembly elections of Bihar. The period of Moon-Rahu-Jupiter (from September 2020 to November 2020) is going to give him a jolt and serious loss. His party is not likely to win more than 5- seats out of 143 they are contesting. The sub period lord Jupiter is in enemy sign Taurus and enemy Navamsha Libra.

What is the future of Chirag Paswan ?

Chirag Paswan has just lost his father on 8th of October 2020 when he was under Vimshottari Dasha of Moon-Rahu. The maha dasha lord Moon is in the 3rd house which is the 7th house from the 9th house of father. The anter dasha lord Rahu is in the 9th house from Sun which is the Karaka for father. His maha dasha lord Moon is in Kemadruma Yoga which is not getting cancel in his chart. The next maha dasha of Mars will come in January 2029 which is also not very promising as Mars is in the 12th house of losss. Moon is Vargottama and it is placed in the Navamsha lagan. So he will remain active in the politics but will not get any major success life his father.

Mars and Saturn both aspect the 7th house from Janma lagna which is a major yoga for delay in marriage in the horoscope of Chirag Paswan. At the age of 38 Chirag Paswan is still unmarried. Astrologically he is likely to get marry after the age of 39 during his Moon-Jupiter dasha in Vimshottari in year 2022. Jupiter is the lord of his Navamsha lagna. Before this he may also get some ministerial post in the central government of Narendra Modi next year. His Moon-Rahu dasha can make him a cabinet minister. Rahu is getting aspect of 11th lord Mars and in Navamsha it is in the 11th house of gains.

Horoscope of Ram Vilas Paswan

5 July 1946, 19:50 hours at Khagaria, Bihar

Longitude: 86 E 39′ and Latitude: 25 N 30′

Balance of Dasha in Vimshottari: Moon 7 years 11 months 25 days

Ram Vilas Paswan is 9 time minister of parliament (MP) and have been into the cabinets of 5 prime minister of India during 1996 to 2009. He was know as the ‘weatherman of Indian politics’ for his political astuteness, opportunism and mastery in the skill of political negotiations. In this 50 year long political career he championed the cause of Dalit community the post downtrodden people of Indian society. He aspired to be the chief minister of Bihar but his ambition were never fulfilled but to other dominant leaders of ‘Mandal Era’ like Lalu Yadav and Nitish Kumar. See the strength of lagna and Moon in his horoscope. The lagna, which is Makar, is receiving the aspect of Saturn, Venus, Mercury and Jupiter. Four or more planets giving aspect to lagna and/or Moon makes very good Raja Yoga as per a Parashari dictum. The horoscope of Ram Vilas Paswan is a classical example of it. In his 50 years long political career he was know for his sincerity, hard work, down to earth behaviour, administrative skills and dignity. There was no stain of corruption on his clothes unlike many of his contemporary who were the products of socialist movement in 1970’s.

Kedar Yoga in the horoscope of Ram Vilas Paswan

In the horoscope of Ram Vilas Paswan all the planets, except Rahu-Ketu, are in the 4 Rashi’s. This is called Kedar Yoga which give a native very balanced approached in career and he remain calm and composed in difficult circumstances. Unline his son, who has all the planets in 3 sign making a bad Shoola Yoga, he has a very good Nabhas Yoga in his chart.

Now notice here the strength of Moon in the horoscope of Ram Vilas Paswan, Moon as the 7th lord is in the 9th house of luck. The 9th lord is in the 7th house of public life. This beautiful exchange of 7th house lord and 9th house lord is a Raja Yoga. Moon is in exchange with its sign lord or Moon is in conjunction or getting aspect from its sign lord is a Raja Yoga as per the Chandra Yoga Adhyay of Brihat Parashara Hora Shatra. So the Chandra Kundali of Ram Vilas Paswan has lot of strength.

Early political career and second marriage

Ram Vilas Paswan first got elected to Bihar legislative Assembly in 1969 when he was under Rahu-Saturn dasha in Vimshottari. He was also selected as the DSP (deputy supritendent of police) in 1969 before coming into politics. Rahu is in the 5th house of minister’s post which took him into politics at a very young age. There is a ‘Bandhan Yoga’ in his chart as 7th house is hemmed between Sun and Mars which are creating a ‘Paap Kartari’ also. He was in Jail during 1975-1977 during Rahu-Venus and Rahu-Sun dasha in Vimshottari. In 1977 he won Lok Sabha elections by getting 89.93 % votes which was included into the Guinnes book of world records. It was Rahu-Moon dasha in Vimshottari. In Jupiter maha dasha he got married for the second time in 1982 after giving divorce to the first wife in 1981. Chirag Paswan is his son from the second marriage. The exchange between 7th lord and 9th lord is also a yoga for more than two marriages which he had. See the Moon as the 7th lord is also in conjunction with the 12th lord Jupiter.

Rise in political career in Saturn maha dasha

Then during entire Saturn maha dasha (1996 to 2014) he enjoyed the Raja Yoga for being the minister of cabinet in the central government of various prime ministers. His party use to get only 4 to 6 MP’s but still with his political smartness he use to bag a post for himself in the cabinet very time. In 2014 he smartly moved with the NDA sending huge victory of Narendra Modi. He was in the Modi cabinet of 2014 and 2019. See the strength of Vargottama Saturn in his horoscope. The dasha of Saturn and Mercury has to give him benefits of Raja Yoga. But then there is some constrain in this Raja Yoga of Saturn, Mercury and Venus in the horoscope of Ram Vilas Paswan. These three planets are in their enemy sign Cancer and also under ‘Paap Kartari’ yoga. If planets forming the Raja Yoga comes under such condition then it bring some limitations in native’s career. It is well know that Ram Vilas Paswan wanted to be the chief minister of Bihar but he was unable to expand his mass base and was confined to be mainly a regional leader in Bihar. His party Lok Janashakti would never been able to get more than 6-7% of votes in Bihar assembly. Thus Ram Vilas Paswan was not able to rise much beyond a certain level in national or state politics.

He died in Mercury-Sun dasha in Vimshottari on 8th of October 2020 after undergoing a heart surgery. Mercury is in the 7th house, a Maraka house, in its enemy sign Cancer and in enemy Navamsha Scorpio. The anter dasha lord Sun is the lord of 8th house badly placed in the 6th house of diseases. Priyanka though was campaigning for Congress party even before her elder brother Rahul entered the political scene in his constituency Amethi. Rahul Gandhi was handed over the Congress Party President post more recently by her mother Sonia Gandhi in December 2017. Now with Priyanka Gandhi doing politics full time has sparked-off a debate if she going to eclipse her brother Rahul who will be aiming for prime minister’s chair in the second consecutive general elections? In the Gemini lagna horoscope of Priyanka Gandhi the conjunction of Sun-Jupiter is a good Raja Lakshan Yoga. As per my teacher Shri K.N. Rao the Sun-Jupiter conjunction or their mutual aspect gives one royal and aristocratic personality. This yoga can make one very elegant politician if other Raja Yoga’s are present in the horoscope. Apart from this Saturn-Moon conjunction or their mutual aspect is also a yoga which gives popularity in public life. Any of these two yogas mentions above if present in Rashi, Navamsha and Dashamasha in some form or the other can give a native good political career. Such person have charismatic personality and they are born leaders. Priyanka Gandhi has both these yogas present in her chart. As per Jaimini system Priyanka Gandhi’s Atamakaraka is Sun which is vargottama in Sagittarius the sign of royal emblems. In Karakamsha, which is Sagittarius, Priyanka has Sun, Jupiter and Mercury getting the aspect of Mars. Sun is Atamakaraka and Mars is Amatayakaraka here making a good Jaimini Raja Yoga. In Navamsha they are in conjunction which is excellent. But Priyanka has malefics Rahu and Mars in the 2nd and 4th house respectively from her Karakamsha lagna Sagittarius which is not good. A debliteated Moon giving Jaimini aspects to the Rahu in the 2nd house from Karakamsha is a bad yoga for family and marriage. Her husband is a source of humiliation for her political image.

Tragic Death of Father Rajive Gandhi

Priyanka Gandhi’s father and former prime minister Rajive Gandhi died on 21 May 1991 in a tragic suicide bomb blast. Priyanka was then running with Mercury-Rahu ( September 1989 to March 1992) in Vimshottari. Rahu is in the 8^th house of mourning in the Rashi chart. Rahu is in the 2^nd house from Sun in Rashi chart and in Dwadamsha it is in the 7^th house from Sun thus it become a Maraka for father in both charts. Notice here the weak 9^th house from both lagna and Moon in Priyanka’s horoscope. In Rashi the 9^th house has Venus the 5^th lord which shows her charismatic father but it is in ‘Paap-Kartari’ yoga. Rahu and Mars are flaking the 9^th house of Priyanka. The 9^th house from Moon has Ketu getting the bad aspect of Saturn.

In Dwadamsha the 9^th house is in ‘Paap-Kartari’ and the 8^th house having Mars under the aspect of Saturn shows the tragic end of her father.

Unconventional Marriage of Priyanka

Priyanka Gandhi got married on 18 February 1997 with Robert Vadra who was a small businessman then. Robert Vadra belong to a Punjabi family which originate from Sialkot Pakistan as his father moved to India at the time of partition. Their marriage surprised many as Robert, unlike Priyanka, is not good-looking and was just a small trader from Moradabad in UP. Priyanka was under Mercury-Saturn then in Vimshottari ( July 1994 to March 1997) at the time of her marriage. Mercury is in the 7^th house in Rashi chart. Saturn as the 9^th lord is in 12^th house a ‘Bhog-Sthan’ of bed pleasures. Saturn is in the 7^th house from her Moon showing this unconventional marriage. Saturn, signifying low income group people, is in the 7^th from Moon and aspect the 7^th lord from Moon which is Venus here.

Although Priyanka has Sun-Jupiter and Mercury in the 7^th house in Rashi chart. But her 7^th lord Jupiter is afflicted with Rahu in the Navamsha chart and get the aspect of Saturn. Her Upapada is Scorpio which has a debilitated (Neecha ) Moon in it. Rahu is giving Jaimini aspect to her Upapada. This again confirm her marriage with a person having humble background and a suspicious character.

In the subsequent maha dasha of Ketu ( March 1997 to March 2004) Priyanka gave birth to two children. Ketu is in the 2^nd house getting the aspect of 9^th lord Saturn in Rashi chart. The 9^th house is the 5^th from the 5^th house can give birth of children. Keu in Saptamasha is in the 6^th house but its depositor is Jupiter there which is in associated with 5^th lord Saturn.

Venus Dasha and Raja Yoga for Mother

Venus as the 5^th lord in Gemini lagna chart of Priyanka is well placed in the 9^th house of luck. It is getting the aspect of 9^th lord Saturn from the 12^th house. Venus dasha started in March 2004 and it gave political power to her mother Sonia Gandhi who then led Congress to a victory in general elections. In the first 10 years of Venus dasha in the chart of Priyanka her mother enjoyed a Raja Yoga as she was running the government of country using Manmohan Singh as pupped prime minister. Sonia Gandhi was then the de-facto ruler of the country. See the strong Venus in the lagan of Dwadamsha. The Dwadamsha is the chart for parents. It is no surprise that her mother enjoyed a Raja Yoga during the dasha of Venus.

Enigmatic Venus-Rahu dasha and fall of her mother

Venus-Rahu and Rahu-Venus periods in Vimshottari are the most enigmatic as it can produce quite surprise results. In case of Priyanka Gandhi Venus-Rahu period from May 2011 to May 2014 led to the fall of her mother Sonia Gandhi. Her mother not only had serious health issues during this period but it also made her government very unpopular because of various scams. Remember Sonia Gandhi visiting USA secretly for her treatment during 2011-2014. It was rumored in political circle of Delhi that she had gone through some surgery for cancer. The Congress party suffered humiliating election defeats in 2013-2014 at times when Venus-Rahu was running in Priyanka Gandhi’s chart. She was also undergoing a ‘Sadhe-Sati’ as Saturn was transiting from Libra then.

Rahu is in the 12^th house from Venus and it is in the 8^th house from Priyanka’s Janma lagna. In Dwadamsha it is in the 4^th house of mother. In Dashamsha it is in the lagna afflicted Jupiter there and the aspect of Saturn is also over it adding to the misery.

In Dreshkkan Rahu is with Saturn showing a setback for her brother Rahul Gandhi. In the leadership of Rahul Congress party was decimated to just 44 seats in Lok Sabha which is its worst performance since Independence of India. Notice the aspects of Saturn and Mars on the lagna of Dreshkkan showing the struggle her brother has to face in his career.

Why Priyanka came so late into politics?

It is now in the dasha of Venus-Saturn ( January 2017 to March 2020) that Priyanka Gandhi has decided to enter officially into politics. Venus as the lord of her Saptamsha lagna shows that earlier because of her children she did not spare much time for politics. The dasha of planet ruling the lagna of Saptamsha gives concern for children. Venus is the lord of 5^th house in Rashi chart and in Saptamsha it is the lagna lord there placed in the 5^th house of children. So astrologically it is amply clear that she must be very devoted mother who because of her children did not entered the politics earlier though knowing very well that she could have easily got more limelight than her brother Rahul who lack charisma and intellect.

Now it is Venus-Saturn in Vimshottari till March 2020. At the time of general elections in May 2019 Priyanka would be under Venus-Saturn-Rahu in Vimshottari. The Venus and Saturn are in a bad exchange as the exchange of 12^th and 9^th lords is not very good. Rahu the sub-sub period lord is in the 8^th house of disappointment. So in the general elections in 2019 she can only get contented to give Congress the role of a strong opposition party.

Neecha Rashi Moon a big weakness

Moon as the 2^nd lord a Maraka is in the 6^th house of diseases. It is debilitated in the horoscope of Priyanka and is getting the aspect of Saturn. Moon in the sign of Mars getting the aspect of Saturn shows addition of liquor. It also shows her interest in meditation and yoga. But her Janma lagna is in ‘Paap-Kartari’ yoga as Ketu and Saturn, two hard malefic planets, are flaking her lagna. These are the two big weakness of her chart which will keep giving her trouble until her Sun maha dasha comes in 2024. Although there is a ‘Neecha-Bhanga’ for this Moon as its sign lord Mars is in Kendra from lagna. But since Moon is getting the bad aspect of a retrograde Saturn so this ‘Neecha-Bhanga’ is not very effective. Moreover, Moon is Maraka for Mithuna lagna and is afflicted in the 6th house of disease.

Bright political future for Priyanka

The upcoming Vimshottari dasha of Venus-Mercury from March 2020 to January 2023 shows better prospects for Priyanka Gandhi. Later the maha dasha of Sun from March 2024 to March 2030 shows more bright future for her in politics. Sun is involve in good ‘Raja Lakshan’ yoga in Priyanka’s chart.
