On the January 22nd 2024 , at 12:29 pm 8 seconds, in an auspicious period of 84 seconds, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the major religious rituals of the consecration of the idol of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. This historic moment was witnessed by crores (hundreds of millions) of people in the country and abroad on live television and internet streaming. The foundation stone of this temple, which is being built after a long struggle at the birthplace of Lord Ram after more than 500 years, was also laid down by the Prime Minister Modi earlier on the 5th August 2020. At that time also, the auspicious time for laying the foundation stone of Ram temple, there were some controversies regarding the Muhurata or selection of auspicious time astrologically. On this occasion the four prominent Hindu pontiff’s or Shankaracharyas have raised some questions regarding the Pranapratishtha (consecration) before the complete construction of the temple. This matter is related with ‘Dharmashastra’s’ or religious texts about which i will not comment here. Astrologically the Muhurata horoscope of the consecration of Ram Temple at Ayodhya appears to be good and it will bring fortune for the entire region benefiting the state of Uttar Pradesh the most.
Chart 1. Ram Mandir Pranpratishtha or Consecration Muhurata horoscope
Lunar Month- Pausha, Vikaram Samvat- 2080, Tithi – Shukla Dwadashi , Nakshatra – Mrigshira , Yoga – Indra , Karana – Balava , Hora – Venus
According to Acharya Vedamurti Pandit Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid, who had calculated the auspicious time (Muhurata) in which Shri Ramlala Pranapratishtha was held today, this is a Sanjeevani Muhurta in which there is not a single defect present among the five arrows i.e. the arrow of disease, the arrow of death, the arrow of ruler, the arrow of thief and the arrow of fire. This Sanjeevani Muhurta has been praised in the classical book of astrology Purva Kala Amrit by Kalidas. Apart from this, the Muhurta is mentioned in the book Muhurata Chintamani. According to the classical rules, in this Pranapratishtha Muhurta, due to the placement of Jupiter in the ascendant and the conjunction of Mercury and Venus placed in the ninth house, which is a triangle position, all the major planetary defects prevalent in this Muhurata are mitigated. Another ancient authority ‘Vriddha Vashishta Samhita’ is of the opinion that if Jupiter, Venus and Mercury are in Kendra (quadrant) and Kona (trine) then the major planetary defects in any Muhurata are removed largely.
Normally the Month of Pausha is not taken for auspicious ceremonies such as consecration of deity, but since the Sun has moved into the Makar Rashi and Abhijeet Muhurata has been taken so this Dosha of performing a ceremony in lunar month Pausha has reduced a bit.
Ayodhya City is ruled by Kritika Nakshatra and Aries Sign
According to the Avakahada Chakra of Hindu Astrology, the letter ‘Aa’ comes in the first phase of Kritika Nakshatra which falls in the Aries sign only. At the time of the consecration of Ram temple, the Moon will be situated in the second house of wealth from Dhanakaraka Jupiter in Aries. This astrological yoga will bring fortune and wealth which can make Ayodhya one of the most prosperous pilgrimage areas of the North India. According to Valmiki Ramayana, Lord Rama was born in the Ishvaku dynasty and the dominant constellation of this dynasty is Vishakha. The Vishakha Nakshatra (constellation ) at the time of Ram Mandir consecration is getting the aspect of the Sun in the Nakshatra Sangatta Chakra given above. Vishakha is the 16th Nakshatra which get the aspect of the Sun situated in 21st Nakshatra Uttaraashada in the Sangatta Nakshatra Chakra.
Ashtakavarga rules in selection of Muhurata for Ram Mandir
The Moon is in auspicious Mrigshira Nakshatra and it is not getting any benefic or malefic planet’s aspect in the Sangatta Nakshatra Chakra. Also, in the Muhurata chart there is no planet in conjunction with the Moon which as per the cardinal rules of the Muhurata is a good sign. Interestingly the Moon is in Taurus sign which get the 44 points in the Ashtakavarga in the foundation horoscope of India (15 August 1947, 00:00 hours at Delhi). In the Bhinnashtaka Varga of the Moon we get 6 points in the foundation horoscope of India so as per the rules of Ashtakavarga rules the selection of the Muhurata is good. The Moon is in Taurus sign which is the 11th house of the natal Moon in the foundation horoscope of India which is in Cancer sign. India’s natal Moon is in Pushya Nakshatra the counting from which the Mrigshira Nakshatra comes in Mitra Tara (friendly constellation) which is also good as per the Tara Shuddhi rule of Muhurata.
Chart 2. Foundation Horoscope of Uttar Pradesh State
The ‘Lakshmi Yoga’ is presently activated in the horoscope of Uttar Pradesh (UP) state formed on the 24th January 1950 midnight in Lucknow, in which Libra ascendant is rising and the Moon is in conjunction with Rahu in Pisces in the sixth house of conflicts and disputes and is making a mutual relation with Mars sitting in the twelfth house. The Moon in mutual aspect with the Mars give rise to ‘Lakshmi Yoga’ but since Mars is a ‘Maraka’ planet for the Libra lagna chart so it will also bring some mishaps and controversies. Due to the inauspicious position of the 10th lord the Moon in the horoscope of Uttar Pradesh, the pace of progress in this state remained very slow in comparison to other states, but in the last few years, infrastructure like roads, airports, new railway lines etc. are being developed here rapidly.
Neecha Bhanga Yoga in the horoscope of Uttar Pradesh State
The Vimshottari dasha of Rahu started in the horoscope of UP in February 2021 , which is auspicious for the progress of this state because Rahu is situated in the sixth house in Pisces and its sign lord Jupiter is in Capricorn with Saturn in the fourth house crating a good ‘Neecha Bhanga Yoga’ which is good yoga for the development of the infrastructure of the state. But since the sixth house is also of disputes, hence when Saturn will transit in Pisces in the next year in March 2025, then it will bring some major troubles in the political and bureaucracy of the state. By transiting over the natal Moon and Rahu in one’s horoscope, it can give rise to political upheavals and some big controversies in the state.
There will be rapid development in Ayodhya city till the year 2028 as per the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Pranpratistha Muhurat horoscope (Chart 1) Jupiter is present in the movable sign sign Aries in the ascendant, which is situated as the ninth lord and Mars, the lord of the ascendant, is in the ninth house and is creating a very auspicious Rashi Parivatana Rajyoga with Jupiter. The aspect of Saturn sitting in the eleventh (profit) house is also a good Dhana yoga. The Maha Dasha of Mars and Anter Dasha of Saturn is running in Ram Mandir Pranpratisha horoscope (chart 1) is till February 2025 which is good for the flow of money as donations in the temple.
Later, during the Vimshottari dasha of Mars and the Anter Dasha of Mercury in 2025 or 2026, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust may come under controversies and mismanagement . There will be some major changes in the setup of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in year 2025 or 2026. Mercury, being the lord of the sixth (dispute) house, is showing these big changes as it is placed in the ninth house from the astrological point of view. The Maha Dasha of Mars in Ram Mandir consecration Muhurata (chart 1) is till August 2028, which will bring continuous growth in the region as the Maha Dasha lord Mars is both the lagna and Navamsha lagna lord and it is placed in the sign of benefic planet . Later in the year 2029, due to Saturn afflicting Kritika Nakshatra in transit, the pace of development in Ayodhya may slow down a bit. At that time the Maha Dasha of Rahu would be running in the Ram Mandir consecration horoscope (chart 1). Rahu is placed in the 12th house and is getting the bad aspect of Mars showing some troubles during 2029 to 2032 in this region which may be due to some violent activities of terrorist etc.
