The conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter in Capricorn sign was a very significant astrological event for the agriculture reforms in India. In 1962 when these two planets were in conjunction in the Capricorn sign then India was facing acute shortage of food grains and was forced to adopt modern agriculture methods to increase its agriculture yield. At Pusa Agriculture Research Institute in Delhi agriculture scientises had then started working on the new varieties of wheat and rice to increase the harvest. These experiments were started after 1962’s Saturn-Jupiter conjunction in Capricorn which as per Brihat Samhita is the sign of agriculture produce. The policy of Green Revolution was implement after the success of these experiments in 1968 by then prime minister smt. Indira Gandhi. Farmers from Punjab, Haryana and UP got the maximum benefits of green revolution as most of their produce was directly purchased by the government for PDS (Public Distribution) schemes. But then these farmers were become heavily dependent on the minimum support price offered by the government and they failed to implement crop diversification on their lands. While the farmers in states like Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnataka started yielding more benefits in the last two decades as they shifted to cash crops like cotton, sugar-can, oil seed, pulses and spices.
Now the issue to bring in a legal guarantee for MSP (minimum support price) has become a bone of contestation between the farmers organizations, government and also corporates which want market forces to decide the prices of farmers produce. The minimum support price is necessary as when farmers harvest comes into the market the prices drops which can bring losses for farmers for which they need some indemnity. In case of Rakesh Tikait Saturn as the 8th lord is debiliteated and is associated with a natural benefic planet Venus. The association Saturn with its ‘Uccha Nath’ (exaltation sign lord) is a ‘Neecha Bhanga Yoga’ as per Phaladeepika. Saturn is the Moon sign lord and it aspect the Moon which is another good Yoga as per ‘Chandra Yoga Adhyay’ of Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra. Saturn as the lord of Navamsha lagna aspect the Navamsha lagna which is also a good Yoga for giving fame.
In Dashamsha chart Saturn is the lord of 5th and 6th house house and is strongly placed in the 11th house which is a yoga for getting gains in competition from the enemies. As per Jaimini system the Chara Dasha of Capricorn is running from June 2020 to June 2029 which is auspicious for Rakesh TIkait as Amatayakaraka Mars, Atamakaraka Sun and Bhatrikaraka Mercury are giving Jaimini aspect to this Rashi. Saturn-Saturn-Jupiter period in Vimshottari from 8th of March 2022 to 2nd of August 2022 indicate that he may gain start protests against the government to make law for giving legal guarantee the MSP. The central government has currently formed a committee to give its suggestion on the matter of enforcing legal guarantee for MSP. As per my understanding the central government will pass the burden to legalized MSP on the state governments as the constitution of India mention ‘agriculture’ as a state subject only.
In that scenario it is highly likely that farmers may again stage protests anytime after April 2022 as the coming Hindu New Year horoscope for India also suggest such public protest movements. The matter of MSP is not likely to get resolve until 2024 when the general elections are schedule to be held in India.
In the horoscope of Rakesh Tikait the Vimshottari dasha period of Saturn-Saturn-Jupiter from 8 March 2022 to 2 August 2022 indicate his involvement in some another farmers protest movements. The subsequent dasha of Saturn-Mercury from 2 August 2022 to 11 April 2025 has indication for imprisonment. Mercury as the 12th lord is in conjunction with 2nd lord (Maraka) Sun. In Navamsha Mercury is the lord of 6th house and is placed in sign of malefic Mars. In Dashamsha Mercury is in the 8th house which is not auspicious. So he may get arrested for a short duration any time during 2022 or 2023 as per the running maha dasha of Saturn in his chart which aspect the 12th house of imprisonment.

In Saturn maha dasha and Ketu anter dasha April 2025 to May 2026 and also during Saturn maha dasha and Venus anter dasha from May 2026 to July 2029 his career as a farmers leader will be at its peak. Ketu is along with 9th lord Jupiter in the 3rd house and Venus is the lord of 11th house well placed in the 10th house of fame. He will win some major international award for his work as an activist any time before the Saturn-Venus dasha ends in July 2029.
