Since last few months Iran has been in news because of her severe economic crisis and anti-hijab protests. In year 2013 when USA imposed harsh sanctions over Iran then oil rich country’s economy started becoming weak. Later on, in year 2018 Donald Trump increased the economic sanctions over Iran which made her currency very weak and inflation started to rise sharply in the country since then. The protests against compulsory Hijab started in year 2017-18 and it intensify in September 2022 after the death of a 22 year old young women named ” Mahsa Amini ” in Tehran when she was severely beaten by ‘moral police’ of the country. As per the international media these anti-hijab protests have been fueled by anger over economic difficulties and misrule of Iran’s hardline Islamic Shia regime.

In the Cancer lagna foundation horoscope of Iran the 9th lord Jupiter is in the lagna shows why this country is a theocratic religious state. Iran is an Islamic Republic with a parliament supervised by a ‘Supreme Leader’ who is the head of the state. The current Supreme Leader of Iran is Ali Khamenei who is ruling since June 1989 after the death of Ruhollah Khomeini who was the leader of Islamic Revolution in 1979. Mars in the 9th house with 3rd lord Mercury made Iran a religious fundamentalist state.
Iran was under Vimshottari Dasha of Jupiter and anter dasha of Venus from 16 September 2019 to 17 May 2022. As the readers can notice that Jupiter and Venus are in 6/8 position from each other in both Rashi and Navamsha charts of Iran Republic. It was no surprise that this dasha period proved very disastrous for Iran, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic when during 2020-21 more than 1.4 lakhs people (140 thousand) were died. Now ever since the anter dasha of Sun has started in the major period of Jupiter from the 17th of May 2022 the country has seen women’s protests against the compulsory hijab law in Iran.
Before the Iranian Islamic Revolution in 1979, during the regime of Shah in Iran, the hijab was not compulsory. After taking power in Iran the Khomeini announced the Islamic dress code for women. Interestingly Iran is the only country in the world that require ‘non-Muslim’ women to wear a headscarf. During 1979 and 1990 the morality police was formally set-up in Iran with the task of arresting people who violet Islamic dress code. In year 2005 the ‘Guidance Patrol’ become the successor organization for this moral police.
Now the upcoming total lunar eclipse of 8 November 2022 is going to fall in Aries which is the 10th house of the Iran Republic horoscope. In Navamsha Aries has Moon over which this sensitive total lunar eclipse will show her effects. The Vimshottari Dasha of Jupiter-Sun is till 6th of March 2023 which may further intensify the ongoing anti-hijab protests. Sun is in the sign of Jupiter and also in the Navamsha of Jupiter. Here Sun is in the 9th house and getting the aspect of 9th lord Jupiter which is clearly showing a historic social revolution for Iran. The 9th house is the house of religious and social changes as per the mundane astrology. It is after the Sun anter dasha gets over the favourable period of Moon will run, in the major period of Jupiter, from 3 March 2023 to 5 July 2024. Moon is the significator of women in the country is strong in its ‘Moola Trikona Rashi’ in Taurus. The anter dasha of lagna lord Moon, which is from March 2023 to July 2024, is likely to give major relief to the women in Iran in the matter of Islamic dress code and compulsory wearing of hijab. The economy of the country will also show some improvement but the transit Saturn from Aquarius, the 8th house of Iran Republic, will give some set-backs to the Islamic government leaders.
So as per my humble understanding the ongoing ‘anti-hijab’ protests in Iran will become more violent after the total lunar eclipse of 8th of November 2022 but after the onset of Moon anter dasha, from 3rd of March 2023, women in the country will be able to get success in making Iranian government to give relaxations in Islamic dress code laws and compulsory wearing of hijab.
