On the November 20th, on the new moon day, Nitish Kumar was sworn in as Chief Minister of Bihar for a record 10th time at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. When Nitish Kumar first became Chief Minister in March 2000, he was forced to resign after failing to secure a majority. However, since winning the Bihar Assembly elections in 2005, and becoming Chief Minister again, he has never looked back, despite all the political ups and downs. It was only after suffering a major defeat in the Lok Sabha elections in May 2014, he had hand over the Chief Minister’s post to his then senior party leader Jitan Ram Manjhi, remaining out of power for 10 months, before returning to power again in February 2015. He has held this position continuously ever since, constantly surprising political pundits by joining hands with the BJP and the opposition RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) on various occasions.
From an astrological perspective, the highly experienced Nitish Kumar’s choice of the new moon day for his swearing-in ceremony is a surprising element. According to the classical texts of Muhurta, Amavasya Tithi is not considered good for starting any auspicious work.
Chart 1. Oath Taking Horoscope of Nitish Kumar

If we study the day of Nitish Kumar’s oath taking on the 20th of November then the sunrise occurred at 6:10 am local time in Patna, the capital of Bihar, while sunset was at 5 pm. According to Patna local time, the Abhijit Muhurta will be from 11:35 am to 12:23 pm. According to the astrological calculations for this Abhijit Muhurta, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his two BJP colleagues, Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, along with several other cabinet ministers, has taken the oath of office.
At the time of the Nitish Kumar government’s swearing-in, Capricorn ascendant was rising, and the Moon was in Scorpio, in the Anuradha Nakshatra. Due to the swearing-in ceremony taking place during Abhijit Muhurta and the fixed Anuradha Nakshatra, the government will complete its term. However, since the oath-taking ceremony falls on the new moon day and Capricorn ascendant is a movable sign so, Nitish Kumar may have to step down as Chief Minister after some time.
Tejashwi Yadav’s Family Problems will continue
In the Bihar Assembly elections for 243 members the opposition party RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) could manage to get only 25 seats as against the 85 they had won in last elections held in 2020.
Chart 2. Birth Chart of Tejashwi Yadav

In Tejasvi Yada’s Leo lagna chart we have the birth details are different from his official records. On the Amavasya (no Moon) day he was born. The aspect of Mars on the 3rd and 11th house from the 8th house position is not good for stable relations with brother and sisters. His elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav has already been separated from the family by creating a new political party. Now after the debacle in the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 his elder sister Rohini Acharya (born 1 June 1978, 13:54 hours at Patna, Bihar) has also left the family after having serious disputes. Tejasvi Yadav’s eldest sister Misa Bharti (born 22 May 1975, 08:25 a.m. at Patna, Bihar) is reportedly supporting him only.
In the horoscope of Tejasvi Yadav (chart 2) the Vimshottari Dasha of Saturn and Anter Dasha of Mars is running from 9th of April 2025 to 19th of May 2026. Although, Mars and Saturn are both in the sign of Jupiter but since these are hard malefic planets so their aspect on the 11th house of elder brother-sister’s is not good. Apart from this Mars and Saturn both aspect the 2nd house (family) where debilitated 10th lord (political power) Venus is placed showing troubles with brother-sisters due to the issues of power distribution in the political family.
An important point to not here is that Anter Dasha of a Yoga Karaka planet is not consider good in the Maha Dasha of a natural malefic as per the some senior astrologer’s view, the point which i had missed in my analysis earlier. The Anter Dasha of Yogakaraka Mars in the Maha Dasha of a natural malefic Saturn gave a major set back to the Tejasvi Yadav. He is not likely to recover from it soon as the next Anter Dasha is of Rahu which is in Mrityu Bhag degrees as per Jataka Parijat in Aquarius sign. Tejasvi Yadav’s family problem is likely to continue till March 2029 intermittently in his Anter Dasha of Rahu which is in the 7th house in Rashi, a Maraka Bhava, and it is in the 6th house of dispute in Navamsha. Tejasvi Yadav’s wife’s relations with the family members may not be very good in the coming years.
During this time Nitish Kumar can take retirement
Chart 3. Birth Chart of Nitish Kumar

Rahu’s inclusion in this Rajyoga makes him a seasoned player in coalition politics. With the feminine planet Venus in the tenth house, in its exalted sign Pisces and in its own Navamsa in Libra, he continues to receive significant support from female voters. The aspect of the ninth lord Saturn on the fifth lord Venus is a significant Rajyoga in his horoscope. However, Venus’s antar dasha will end in May 2026. Later, during the inauspicious Vimshottari Anter Dasha of the Sun in the Maha Dasha of Rahu between June 2026 and April 2027, he will face significant pressure to resign and hand over the position to another leader.
The noticeable point in Nitish Kumar’s horoscope (chart 3) is the placement of Rahu in close degree with Jupiter, the Karaka for wisdom. The affliction to the Jupiter by malefic Rahu can give neurological disorders. In Navamsha Rahu and Jupiter are in the 3rd house getting the bad aspect of 12th lord Saturn. The Sun is the lord of the 6th house in his Navamsha chart which is with the 11th and 12th lord Saturn making a bad combination for his health. During the Rahu Maha Dasha and the Sun Anter Dasha from June 2026 to April 2027 Nitish Kumar may take retirement due to ill-health.
Ketu, placed in the eighth house of Nitish Kumar’s swearing-in horoscope (Chart 1) , may prompt him to abruptly resign due to health reasons.
