As per the classical text ‘Tajik Neelkhanti’ in annual horoscope (solar return chart) or Varsha Kundali ‘Muntha’ (progressed lagna) placed in 2nd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th and/or 12th houses is considered inauspicious. In rest of the houses ‘Muntha’ is taken as auspicious and favorable. ‘Muntha’ and its sign lord (Munthesh) should not be afflicted by the conjunction or aspect of Mars, Sun and/or Saturn. They should also not fall in Rahu-Ketu axis as such situation can give a native severe pain and mental agony, depending upon his dasha and transit, under certain conditions during that year. When we cast the annual horoscopes for foundation charts and/or Republic horoscopes of nations then also these rules are applied but in different perspective.
The horoscope of a Republic declaration is foreseen for constitutional developments, death of national rulers, national crisis and for the important judgement of apex courts. It has been observed that in the annual horoscope of Indian Republic if ‘Muntha’ and its lord is unfavorable then death of important leader and/or a major national crisis take place.

Chart 1. Indian Republic
26 January 1950, 10:18 hours at Delhi, with Balance of 0 years 4 months and 24 days of Ketu dasha.
The horoscope of Indian Republic is given above which is of Pisces lagna. Now I will take the annual horoscope for years when death of Indian Prime Minister’s on chair had brought major change in the central government. The annual horoscope is cast for the time when Sun reaches at its natal position of the birth chart. Muntha is the progressed lagan which is superimposed on this chart.
Chart 2. Annual horoscope of Indian Republic for completed year 14
27 January 1964, 00:33 hours at Delhi
In the annual horoscope for completed year 14 the Muntha was in the 8th house of death. In the annual horoscope the 8th house of the Indian Republic’s foundation chart is rising in the lagan which is not auspicious. There is no benefic in the Kendra which is also unhelpful. India’s first Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru died on 27 May 1964 at the age of 74 of a heart attack. In his place Lal Bahadur Shatri was appointed as the new Prime Minister.
Chart 3. Annual horoscope of Indian Republic for completed year 15

Lal Bahadur Shastri was died in mysterious circumstances on January 11, 1966 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (then part of Soviet Union) just a day after when he had signed a peace treaty to end 1965 Indo-Pak war. It was during the operation period of the annual horoscope for Indian Republic for completed year 15 (26 January 1965 to 26 January 1966). In the annual horoscope ‘Muntha’ is badly placed in the 6th house. Muntha lord Mercury is getting the aspect by malefic Mars.

In the annual horoscope for completed year 34, Mars and Saturn both aspect the 6th house of violence from the 12th house of losses. Muntha is well placed in the 3rd house but Muntha lord Saturn falls in the 12th house of losses. Mars aspect the Muntha which is inauspicious. During this year then Indian Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi was assassinated on 31 October 1984 by her own body guard. Prior to this in operation Blue Start thousands of innocent devotes were died in a disputed terrorist operation at Golden Temple in Amritsar in the month of June.
Chart 4. Annual horoscope for completed year 41
26 January 1991, 22:44 hours at Delhi
Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated on 21 May 1991 as a result of a suicide bomb directed at him during an election rally Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu. In the annual horoscope for completed year 41 of India Republic, which was in operation then, Muntha falls in the 12th house of losses. Mars aspect the Muntha which shows violence. The Muntha lord is Sun which is in conjunction with Saturn and Rahu.
Chart 5. Annual horoscope for completed year 72 for Indian Republic
26 January 2022, 21:38 hours at Delhi
In the annual horoscope for completed year 72, which will be in operation during 26 January 2022 to 26 January 2023, Virgo sign is rising which is the 7th house of the foundation chart of Indian Republic. Muntha is in the 7th house a Maraka house in Pisces sign. Muntha is getting 3rd aspect of Saturn and 4th aspect from Mars which is highly inauspicious. Muntha lord Jupiter falls in the 6th house and the lagan lord Mercury and 6th lord Saturn are in conjunction with 12th lord Sun which is very dangerous. This combinations shows a ‘national mourning’ during year 2022 due to the death of a leader holding a constitutional post which will give a setback to the central government.
Chart 5. Oath Taking Chart of Prime Minister Modi 2.0

In the Scorpio lagna oath taking chart of Shri Narendra Modi the lagan lord Mars falls in the 8th house of national mourning and death of important leaders. The 8th house has deadly conjunction of Rahu and Mars who are in mutual aspect with Saturn. In Navamsha the 8th lord is Mercury which get the joint aspect by both Mars and Saturn. So the affliction to the 8th house repeat in both Rashi and Navamsha.
Now come again to chart 1 of the foundation of Indian Republic where a crucial Vimshottari dasha of Jupiter-Sun is running from 31 December 2021 to 19 October 2022. Sun as the lord of 6th house in the Pisces lagna chart of Indian Republic is in bad exchange with Saturn which is lord of the 11th house of diseases. During 2022 we can see a major set-back to the central government after a tragic event.
