Mars in Cancer and Winter Season 2024-25 for India

As per the astro-meteorology texts Jupiter, Venus, the Moon and Mercury are watery planets only. The favorable disposition of these planets bring colder than the normal weather in winter season. The classical texts of astro-meteorology mentions Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces and Capricorn as watery signs only. During the winter season in 2024-25 Mars will remain in Cancer sign only due to its retrograde motion. Mars normally remains in a Rashi for about 45 days only but after every 2.5 years it become retrograde and then stays for about 6 months in a Rashi. As per Chitra Paksha Lahiri Ayanamsha Mars has come to Cancer sign on the 20th of October in 2024 and it become retrograde there on the 6th of December.

Now Mars will move back to Gemini on the 21st of January 2025 in retrograde motion. Then it will become direct on the 24th of February 2025. So, during the entire winter season (November to February) Mars will remain most of the time in watery sign Cancer only. On this basis i had forecasted a record breaking cold and rainy winter season in 2024-25 season in my article in the December 2024 issue of the Express Star Teller Magazine.

The winter season will be longer than the normal in North America also as Mars will move into Gemini sign on the 21st of January 2025 and it will remain in this sign till the first week of April 2025. The temperature in the USA will be colder than the normal from the end of January to the end of March in 2025. Since Zodiacal sign Cancer signify China so a record breaking cold wave will be foreseen in China during mid of December to mid of January during the winter season.

At present the transiting Jupiter is in Taurus which is in mutual opposition with Mercury which is in watery sign Scorpio. This yoga is likely to bring colder than the normal weather for the season. Till 4th of January Mercury will be in watery sign Scorpio only which will bring more than the normal snowfall in the hilly areas of Himalayas.

On the eve of New year i.e. on the 31^st of December 2024 it is Amavasya day and we have a mutual opposition of Jupiter and Mercury. This yoga bring very good snowfall in the hilly states of Himalayas and some light rain may come in North and Central parts of India around the beginning of New Year in 2025.

Later during 4th of January to 24th of January Mercury will be in Sagittarius in ‘Atichari’ (fast moving) motion which will bring record breaking cold wave during the month of January 2025.

On the day of Makar Samkranti the Moon will be in Cancer sign along with retrograde Mars which shows older than the normal temperate around the day of Purnima (full Moon) then. The weather will be colder than the normal in the second half of January month in 2025 in most parts of North, Central and Western States of India. There will be some relief from the cold wave after 21^st of January when Mars will move into Gemini in the retrograde motion but it will bring some unseasonal rain in many states like Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh etc.

During 24th of January 2025 to 11th of February 2025 the transit of Mercury will be in Capricorn sign which will bring unseasonal rainfall in many parts of North and Central India. The hailstorms can be damaging for the wheat crops in many parts of North and Central India in the month of February. The hailstorms during 24th of January to 11th of February may destroy crops in many parts of Madhya Pradesh, North Maharashtra, and Western UP.

Oath Taking Horoscope of Chandra Babu Naidu 2024 – What it foretells ?

On the June 12th this year when 74-year-old Telugu Desam Party leader Chandrababu Naidu took oath as the Chief Minister of the coastal state of Andhra Pradesh for the fourth time, he had created a new history. Chandrababu Naidu, who has been the longest-serving Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, now has an important stake in the politics of the state as well as the Centre. Chandrababu Naidu took oath as the Chief Minister of the state at Gangavaram on the border of Vijayawada city of Andhra Pradesh at 11:27 am when Leo ascendant was rising. In the assembly elections for 175 seats in the state, Chandrababu Naidu’s party Telugu Desam defeated his opponent Jaganmohan Reddy badly by winning 135 seats. In the Lok Sabha elections too, Chandrababu Naidu has secured a share in the power of the Centre by capturing 16 out of 25 seats in Andhra Pradesh. His oath-taking horoscope of Leo ascendant confirms his high political stature at present. This Muhurta is making it clear from the astrological point of view that Chandrababu Naidu will play an important role in the politics of center also in coming 2.5 years.

In the oath taking chart the 12th lord the Moon is in the lagna with Gulika and get the aspect of 6th and 7th lord Saturn is a weak point as it may affect the health of the chief minister Naidu in coming years. The 10th house of power has the Sun, Venus, Mercury and Jupiter making good ‘Kendra-Kona’ Raja Yoga’s and also a good Dhana Yoga as the Mercury being 2nd and 11th lord is with 5th lord Jupiter.

When Telangana was separated from Andhra Pradesh on 2 June 2014 and became a new state, according to the agreement, Hyderabad was to be used as the capital of both the states for the next 5 years. Now that Hyderabad has become the capital of Telangana after the completion of the 5-year period, Andhra Pradesh has to make a new capital for itself. The previous Chief Minister of the state Jaganmohan Reddy could not do this work in five years, but Chandrababu Naidu has announced to make Amaravati the new capital of the state.

On the 22nd of October 2015 when Chandrababu Naidu as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh performed the foundation stone laying of state’s new capital Amaravati he chooses a bad Muhurata. Many astrologers of Andhra Pradesh had then criticized this Muhurata in Chara (movable) lagna where natural malefic Mars was in the 8th house from both lagna and the Moon. It was Thursday, Shukla Dashmi, Shravana Nakshatra, Shoola Yoga and Taitilya Karana then. In the Muhurata chart of Amaravati foundation the Moon Maha Dasha was ending on the 15th of February 2016. The Mars Maha Dasha was about to come which was falling in the 8th house in both Rashi and Navamsha of Muhurata chart showing big heralds. In the Rashi chart 8th lord the Sun is in the 10th house and the 10th lord Venus is in the 8th house is also bad. In Navamsha 10th lord Jupiter is in the 8th house. It was no surprise that Chandrababu Naidu didn’t get sufficient funds from the center to make his dream project Amaravati then. In year 2018 he also broke away from the NDA led by BJP and in subsequent year in 2019 he lost assembly election. The next chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy presented a different plan for making 3 capital cities; Vishakapatanm as an executive capital, Amaravati as legislative capital and Kurnool as judicial capital. Thus mega plant to build Amaravati as world class capital city was put on halt.

Now Rahu Maha Dasha has started in the foundation horoscope of Amaravati from February 2023. Rahu Dasha and Rahu Bhukti will be till 28 October 2025. But it will not be possible to develop huge infrastructure like 360 KM trunk road, MAL Bungalows, houses for ministers and officers, high court building etc. with this fund only. After October 2025 in Rahu Dasha and Jupiter Bhukti the development work for Amaravati will again get into some trouble due to lack of funds.

The city of Amaravati will get completed after March 2028 only in Rahu Dasha and Saturn Bhukti. Saturn as the lagna lord is in the 11th house of gains. The transiting Saturn would then be in Aries at the 4th house from lagna and the Moon in chart 2 of the Amaravati foundation. Thus the favorable Bhukti of Saturn will make possible the development of Amaravati as Andhra Pradesh capital before next assembly elections in May-June 2029.

Year 2025 will be challenging for Chandrababu Naidu

In Chandrababu Naidu’s Leo ascendant oath taking horoscope (chart 1) , the lagan lord the Sun, tenth lord Venus, 2nd and 11th lord Mercury and fifth lord Jupiter sitting in the tenth house of power are creating a big Rajyoga and Dhanyoga. Due to the effect of this yoga, Chandrababu Naidu will be able to fulfill his resolve to make Amaravati the capital of Andhra Pradesh. This combination of four planets in the tenth house from the lagna and the Moon will also help him to get proper assistance from the central government for building the new capital. But since here the tenth lord (ruling power) Venus is combust by the Sun and is debilitated in the Navamsa horoscope, hence, it will have a bad effect on his relations with the central government in the future particularly after the lunar eclipse of 7th of September 2025.

Due to health problems, he may hand over the chair to his son

In Chandrababu Naidu’s oath taking horoscope of Leo ascendant, the Moon is in Moola Nakshatra and Gulika is also situated there. Due to the aspect of the malefic planet Saturn from the seventh house, this affliction on the 12th lord (retirement) Moon and Gulika is an astrological combination of health problems for the Chief Minister. Due to Ketu in the second house from the lagna and the Moon, Saturn in the seventh and Rahu in the eighth, there is a question mark on his completing his term as the chief minister.

Chart 3. Birth chart of Chandrababu Naidu

20 April 1950, 06:43 hours at Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh

Due to the tenth house of the oath taking horoscope being strong, Chandrababu Naidu will be able to complete his six major election promises. He will be able to fulfill the promises which include free bus travel for women, increase in old age pension, financial assistance to farmers, subsidy on gas cylinders, etc. In the Aries ascendant birth chart of Chandrababu Naidu (chart 3) the aspect of Mars and Saturn on the 6th lord Mercury sitting in the ascendant is an indication that he may face health problems after Saturn transits into Pisces after March next year. Saturn coming into Pisces next year and coming into the 8th house of his oath taking chart will create a lot of tension in his relations with the Central Government. His birth chart and oath taking chart are indicating that Chandrababu Naidu may hand over the post of Chief Minister to his son Nara Lokesh after almost two and a half years. The Maha Dasha of Mercury and Anter Dasha of Ketu from September 2024 to September 2025 is bad for the health of Chandrababu Naidu as per his Aries lagna birth chart.

Chart 4. Foundation Horoscope of Andhra Pradesh

In the foundation horoscope of Andhra Pradesh (chart 4) Cancer ascendant is rising. The transiting Saturn was in Aquarius over the exact degrees of the 10th lord Mars. The transiting Jupiter was in Aries on the 10th house. This double transit of Saturn-Jupiter together influencing the 10th house has brought the change in the government in state during assembly elections which i failed to foresee then. Now Mercury Dasha and Venus Anter Dasha is ending in December 2024.

In Mercury Dasha and the Sun Anter Dasha (7 December 2024 to 13th of October 2025) and later in Mercury Dasha and the Moon Anter Dasha (13 October 2025 to 14 March 2027) there will be good development in the state. Both the Sun and the Moon are strongly placed in the foundation horoscope of Andhra Pradesh state. The Moon is particularly strong in both Rashi and Navamsha chart. So, the Moon is particularly strong in both Rashi and Navamsha. Thus in the Anter Dasha of the Moon from October 2025 to March 2027 the major development in Andhra Pradesh and mostly in its capital Amaravati will take place at rapid speed.

Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024- An astrological analysis

When the voting for the 81 seats of Jharkhand Assembly will be held in two phases on the 13th November and on the 20th of November, then along with the chair of the incumbent Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the prestige of India Alliance will also be at stake. After winning the last assembly elections in the year 2019, Hemant Soren’s party Jharkhand Mukti Morcha formed the government in alliance with Congress Party and Rashtriya Janata Dal. But in the year 2023, Hemant Soren, who was caught in the alleged mining and land scam, started getting into troubles due to raids by officials of the central investigation agency ED from Delhi to Ranchi and later, before being arrested on 31st of January 2024, Hemant Soren resigned and made his own party’s senior leader Champai Soren the Chief Minister of the state. As soon as he came out of the jail in the first week of July this year, Hemant Soren made Champai Soren to resign from his post, and he once again took over the post of Chief Minister on July 4 at 4:52 pm, when the Scorpio Lagna (ascendant) was rising and the Moon was placed in the eighth house of adversity. Due to taking oath taking event took place on the inauspicious Chaturdashi Tithi , Hemant Soren’s opponents continued to attack him and brought the former chief minister Champai Soren of his party to their side.

Hemant Soren had made the mistake by taking oath in the 13^th days fortnight in the Lunar month of Ashada. Due to the loss of two Tithi’s (kshaya Tithi) i.e. Pratipada and Chathurdashi the darker half of Ashada month (Ashada Krishna Paksha) had only 13 days this year. The worrisome fact for Hemant Soren is that he took oath on the day of Krishna Chathurdashi (14^th lunar day) which was a Kshaya Tithi and the inauspicious Vishti Karana was also present then.

In the oath taking chart of Hemant Soren (chart 1) the Moon is in Gemini Rashi and Mrigshira Nakshatra which is favorable from his natal Moon in Virgo (see chart 2) but unfavorable as per his Janma Nakshatra Uttara Phalguni. Moreover, in the Scorpio lagna oath taking chart of Hemant Soren the 10^th lord the Sun falls in the 8^th house and it is in conjunction with the 12^th lord (losses) Venus. As per the Vimshottari Dasha balance the Mars Dasha and Mercury Anter Dasha is running in the oath taking chart which is very alarming as Mars is in the 6^th house and aspect the 8^th lord Mercury. The aspect of retrograde Saturn on the 10^th house in both Rashi and Navamsa is also not good. This may involve Hemant Soren in some new controversies which will reduce his popularity.

Chart 2. Hemant Soren : Born August 10, 1975 at 16h. 00m. at Ramgarh , Jharkhand , at 85 E 31 and 23 N 38 with a balance of 2 years 2 months 24 days of Sun Dasha at birth.

Hemant Soren is the son of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) founder Sheebu Soren who served as chief minister of the state for two times for short durations only. Hemant Soren’s father was indicted in the past for criminal charges. In the Scorpio lagna horoscope of Hemant Soren (chart 2) the 9^th lord (father) is the Sun which is in Sarpa Drekkan and is in conjunction with malefic Saturn in the 8^th house. In Jupiter Dasha and Ketu Anter Dasha Hemant Soren had become the chief minister for the second time in December 2019. Jupiter is in the 5^th house of minister’s post and the Anter Dasha lord Ketu is in conjunction with the 5^th lord Mars gave him the position of chief minister. In the 81 member’s Jharkhand legislative assembly his party JMM won 30 seats , while their allies Congress get 16 and they together crossed the majority mark of 41 comfortably then.

Bandan Yoga in Hemant Soren’s horoscope

In the Chapter number 14th of the Prashna Marga some yoga’s for imprisonment or Bandhan Yoga’s have been given. One such yoga in stanza number 112 says that if Saturn is placed in the 5th, 9th, 4th, 8th or in the 7th house in a sign of malefic and is associated by malefic then it can give imprisonment. The duration of imprisonment depends upon the placement of planet causing Bandhan Yoga in the fixed, dual or movable signs. The Jharkhand Chief minister Hemant Soren has this Bandhan Yoga mentioned in the Prashna Marga in his Dhanu (Sagittarius) lagna birth chart. In the horoscope of Hemant Soren Saturn is in the 8th house in conjunction with the Sun which is in the Sarpa Dreskkan.

In the Jupiter Dasha and the Sun Anter Dasha (from 18^th of May 2023 to 5 March 2024) Hemant Soren went for imprisonment on the 31^st of January this year. The Sun is in Bandhan Yoga in birth chart and it is in the Navamsa of Saturn which is also not auspicious. Now when he has got the bail in the Jupiter Dasha Moon Anter Dasha and Rahu Antra recently it would be interesting to see if he can get reelected in the up-coming assembly elections or not?

The Dasha and Anter Dasha lords Jupiter and the Moon are making a 6/8 connection from each other in Rashi chart which is not good. The Anter Dasha lord the Moon is taking the lordship of the 8^th house and it is in the Navamsa of Saturn along with some malefic planets. At the time of assembly elections in Jharkhand the Jupiter Dasha Moon Anter Dasha and Saturn Antra would be running from 28^th of September 2024 to 14 December 2024 in Hemant Soren’s chart which is not good. The Antra lord Saturn is in the 8^th house and is involve in ‘Bandhan Yoga’ which will not let Hemant Soren get re-elected for the post of chief minister.

Unfavorable Jaimini Chara Dasha

As per the Jaimini system the Chara Dasha the period of of Aquarius is starting from 9^th of August 2024. Aquarius is the 8^th house from the Atamakaraka the Sun and it is the sign of Karakamasha lagna as Atamakaraka is in the Navamsa of this sign only. From Dasha Rashi Aquarius the Amatayakaraka Venus aspects (Jaimini aspects) the 12^th house Capricorn which shows losses. The 10^th Pada is in Cancer which is in the 6^th from the Dasha Rashi Aquarius. So, from Jaimini perspective also Hemant Soren is not likely to win this election for his party.

Chart 3. Jharkhand State : Born November 15, 2000 at 00h. 00m. at Ranchi , Jharkhand , at 85 E 20 and 23 N 21 with a balance of 16 years 11 months 17 days of Rahu Dasha at birth.

In the Leo lagna horoscope of Jharkhand state (chart 3) the Vimshottari Dasha of Jupiter and Anter Dasha of Ketu would be running from 8^th of October 2024 to 14 September 2025. Jupiter is in the 10^th house of power and Ketu, the Anter Dasha lord, is in the 5^th house which is 8^th from the 10^th house. The Dasha and Anter Dasha lords Jupiter and Ketu are making a 6/8 relation from each other in both Rashi and Navamsa is an indication of regime change in the state.

Chart 4. Babu Lal Marandi : Born January 11, 1958 at 16h. 10m. at Giridih , Jharkhand , at 86 E 18 and 24 N 11 with a balance of 8 years 1 months 2 days of Moon Dasha at birth.

Babu Lal Marandi was the union cabinet minister in Atal Bihar Vajypayee government during 1998 to 2000. When Jharkhand state came into existence, after it being carved out from Bihar, it was Babu Lal Marandi who become its first chief minister in BJP-JDU alliance government. In the Gemini lagna horoscope of Babu Lal Marandi (chart 4) it was the Vimshottari Dasha of Jupiter and Anter Dasha of Venus from December 1998 to August 2001 when he become the first chief minister of Jharkhand state. Jupiter is in the 5^th house of minister post and Venus is the lord of 5^th house.

But in year 2003 he had to resign from the post of chief minister after disputes with BJP’s allies JDU (Janata Dal United) in the state. In year 2006 he left BJP and formed a new party with name “Jharkhand Vikas Morcha”. During the major portion of his Saturn Maha Dasha , which started in February 2007, he struggles as his party was not performing well in elections. But in February 2020 he merged his party into the BJP when he was under Saturn Dasha and Mars Bhukti.

Favorable Jupiter Anter Dasha for Babu Lal Marandi

Now Saturn Dasha and Jupiter Anter Dasha is running from August 2023 to February 2026 and last year in July he was appointed as Jharkhand BJP president. The Saturn Dasha Jupiter Anter Dasha and Ketu Antra running in September-October this year is favorable for him. The next Antra of Venus is also good as it is the lord of 5^th house of minister’s post. Anter Dasha lord Jupiter is in the 5^th house of Rashi and 10^th house of Navamsa can made Babu Lal Marandi chief minister after the results of this upcoming Jharkhand assembly polls.

Favorable Jaimini Chara Dasha

As per the Jaimini Chara Dasha system the 10 year long Cancer Rashi Dasha has started from January 2024 in the horoscope of Babu Lal Marandi. The Cancer sign get the Jaimini aspect of Amatayakarak Saturn and Matrikaraka (rulers throne) Mars which can give him the post of chief minister after BJP’s victory in the Jharkhand assembly elections.

Planets and Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024

Maharashtra is the most important state after Uttar Pradesh in terms of number of seats in Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha (both parliament and sate assembly) . In the results of Lok Sabha elections held in April-May this year, Congress-led ‘ India Alliance’ had prevented BJP from getting absolute majority on its own by leaving behind BJP’s NDA in winning the number of seats in both these states. Now on November 20th the votes will be cast for the 288 seats of the Maharashtra state assembly , the result of which will be declared on the November 23rd . In the last three years, BJP has adopted an aggressive policy, and by breaking first Shiv Sena and then NCP, not only it has made the politics of Maharashtra very complicated but it has also created an existential crisis for many regional parties at the national level. From the astrological point of view, the study of the horoscopes of the big leaders of the Mahavikas Aghadi trio of Shiv Sena (UBT), NCP Sharad Pawar and Congress Party, as well as the horoscopes of BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis , Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde), and NCP (Ajit Pawar) in Mahayuti are showing an interesting political picture in upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections 2024.

Chart 1. Horoscope Ajit Pawar

Born July 22, 1959 at 13h. 42m. at Ahmadnagar , Maharashtra , at 74 E 44 and 19 N 05 with a balance of 1 years 3 months 19 days of Mars Dasha at birth.

Ajit Pawar is the nephew of Sharad Pawar and at present he is serving as the deputy chief minister of the state since 2^nd of July 2023 after he split the party of his uncle to join hands with the BJP government. In the Libra lagna horoscope of Ajit Pawar (chart 1) the Vimshottari Dasha of Mercury and Anter Dasha of Rahu was running when he created a major deflection in the erstwhile NCP of Sharad Pawar and also got the symbol and name of the party in his name by the decision of the Election Commission of India. Rahu in the 12^th house is getting the aspect of Yogakaraka Saturn gave him benefit after desertion from his original party.

Mercury is the lord of 9^th house (luck) and 12^th house (losses) is placed in the 10^th house of power along with the 11^th lord the Sun. Rahu is the significant of the politics of opportunism and manipulations is in the 12^th house in the sign of Mercury. In the Mercury Dasha Rahu Anter Dasha and Rahu Pratyanter Dasha, he got the position of deputy Chief Minister in the Eknath Shinde and BJP led government in Maharashtra. But the recent defeat in the Lok Sabha elections during his Saturn Pratyanter Dasha will cost him badly. He is not likely to get much success during the up- coming assembly elections and the period of Mercury Dasha Rahu Bhukti and Mercury Antra will not be favorable for him. The Dasha lord Mercury is in enemy sign Cancer in Rashi chart and in Dashmasha it is in the 8^th house. And Anter Dasha lord Rahu is in the 12^th house of losses in Rashi and from the Moon it is in the 8^th house of humiliation. In Dashmasha it is in the 6^th house showing more troubles for him.

Born December 12, 1940 at 06h. 30m. at Baramati , Maharashtra , at 74 E 35 and 18 N 09 with a balance of 2 years 2 months 8 days of Venus Dasha at birth.

Sharad Pawar’s horoscope (chart 2) is of the Scorpio Ascendant, in which the wonderful Buddha-Aditya Yog of the Sun and Mercury makes him a skilled player in politics. But the conjunction of Saturn, Jupiter and the Moon placed in the 6th house of controversies and diseases, also gave him cancer disease in the past and major ups and downs in politics. He was four-time Maharashtra chief minister but was not able to complete his tenure on any occasion. He has also served as cabinet minister in the Congress led governments at the center on three occasions. In his Maha Dasha of Mercury , Anter Dasha of Venus and Pratyanter Dasha of Mars his party was bifurcated by his own nephew Ajit Pawar. Mercury as the lord of 8^th house gave him this setback but since it also has the lordship of 11^th house of gains and is strongly placed in the 10^th house of Navamsha and Dashmasha so he has to make a comeback also.

Now, at the time of upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra Sharad Pawar will be under Mercury Dasha Venus Anter Dasha and Venus Pratyanter Dasha from 21^st of October 2024 to 16th of March 2025. The Anter Dasha lord Venus is strong in own sign and own Navamsha . In the upcoming assembly polls, his party will perform well and as part of the I.N.D.I.A. alliance can get the power in Maharashtra state. The transiting Saturn from Aquarius aspect the 10^th house from lagna and the transiting Jupiter from Taurus give aspect to the 10^th lord the Sun shows a period of major achievement as Dasha is also positive. But serious health problem will come during Mercury Dasha Venus Anter Dasha and Mercury Pratyanter Dasha during November 2024 to March 2025 as these Dasha lords are functional malefic for his Scorpio lagna chart.

Chart 3. Horoscope of Devendra Fadnavis

Born July 22, 1970 at 10h. 45m. at Nagpur, Maharashtra , at 79 E 06 and 21 N 09 with a balance of 12 years 5 months 00 days of Jupiter Dasha at birth.

In the Virgo lagna horoscope of Devendra Fadnavis (chart 3) Saturn, Mars, Mercury and the Sun aspect the 5th house of education. He is a law graduate from the government law collage in Nagpur and have also done a post graduate degree in Business Management. He is representing the Nagpur legislative assembly seat since 1999 (Saturn-Jupiter Dasha in Vimshottar). In Mercury Dasha and Jupiter Anter Dasha in October 2014 his party made him the chief minister of Maharashtra after BJP-Shiv Sena coalition won the state elections. But the 3rd lord the Mars is debilitated in his chart and the 6th lord Saturn in the 8th house in Rashi chart gave him struggle due to conflict with junior alliance partner Shiv Sena during the period of his chief minister tenure.

In the difficult Ketu Dasha and Venus Anter Dasha, both falling in the 12th house, he couldn’t manage to win enough seat to become chief minister again after 2019 assembly elections of the sate. But in Ketu Dasha and Rahu Anter Dasha he become the deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra after Eknath Shinde broke away from the Shiv Sena led by Uddhav Thackeray.

Now the recent setback to the BJP in Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra has made his position jittery in the party.

The transiting Saturn is right over the natal Moon of Devendra Fadnavis in the Aquarius sign which will give him even bigger challenges in the upcoming assembly elections. In the 2019 assembly elections in Maharashtra BJP had won 105 seats with 25.75% of votes. This time their number of seats may reduce further as its leader Devendra Fadnavis is under an unfavorable Ketu Dasha and Saturn Anter Dasha till December 2024. Saturn falls in the 8th house in his chart in Rashi and also in Navamsha.

Interestingly both Ajit Pawar (chart 1) and Devendra Fadnavis (chart 3) has their respective natal Moon in Aquarius sign over which the transiting Saturn is moving at present. Due to the ‘Sadhe-Sati’ effect and difficult Dasha -Anter Dasha both are likely to suffer together in their political careers.

Chart 4. Horoscope of Uddhav Thackeray

Born July 27, 1960 at 10h. 14m. at Mumbai, Maharashtra , at 72 E 49 and 18 N 58 with a balance of 11 years 4 months 19 days of Venus Dasha at birth.

In the Virgo lagna horoscope of Uddhav Thackeray (chart 4) the two natural benefic planets Jupiter and Mercury are in Kendra in their own signs. The lord of 5^th house (minister post) and 6^th house (conflicts and disease) is Saturn which is in the 4^th house. During the Maha Dasha of Jupiter and Anter Dasha of Ketu Uddhav Thackery become the chief minister of Maharashtra in December 2019 running a coalition government with Sharad Pawar’s NCP and Congress Party. Later in the enigmatic Jupiter Dasha and Venus Anter Dasha (27 October 2020 to 28 June 2023) he had hard time in his career as during COVID it was Maharashtra which suffered the greatest number of causalities. He himself was hospitalized in November 2021 for a spinal surgery operation.

Later in June 2022 during Jupiter Dasha Venus Anter Dasha and Jupiter Pratyanter Dasha he had to resign from his post after a revolt in his party by Eknath Shinde who later joined hands with the BJP and become the chief minister himself. The entire Jupiter Dasha and Venus Anter Dasha was very bad for Uddhav Thackery as he lost his party name and symbol to Eknath Shinde who had support of a greater number of members in Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) than him. The Dasha lords Jupiter and Venus are in 6/8 from each other.

But now the Jupiter Dasha and the Moon Anter Dasha from 15 April 2024 to 15 August 2025 is giving him good results again as his party Shiv Sena UBT (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) has won 9 seats in Lok Sabah leaving behind Eknath Shinde’s Shivsena’s performance of 7 seat victory. We don’t have chief minister Eknath Shinde’s birth chart but the horoscope of his adversary Uddhav Thackery shows that now due to the Dasha of Jupiter and a favorable Anter Dasha of 11^th lord (gains) the Moon the results of assembly elections will be in favour of the alliance led by Uddhav Thackery only. It has been observed that in the Gemini and Virgo lagna horoscope the Dasha and Anter Dasha of the Moon give very good results in general as the Moon consider the Mercury, which is the lord of lagna here, as its son only.

In the horoscope of Uddhav Thackery the favorable Jupiter Dasha Moon Anter Dasha and Saturn Pratyanter Dasha will be running from 8 November 2024 to 24 January 2025 which can give him good success in the assembly elections of the state. The Moon as the 11^th lord is in the 12^th house and it is in exchange of houses with the 12^th lord the Sun. As per the ‘Chandra Yoga Adhyay’ of Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra at the time-of-day birth if the Moon get the aspect of Jupiter, it gives the results of Raja Yoga. This rule applies in case of Uddhav Thackery as the Jupiter aspect his natal Moon and he was born during the day time only. Uddhav Thackery will be under a favorable Jaimini Chara Dasha of Virgo from 26^th of July 2024 onwards. Virgo get the aspect of Atamakaraka Mercury, Amatayakaraka Saturn and Darakaraka Jupiter. The 10^th Pada is in Gemini at the 10^th house from Virgo which is clear indication of Uddhav Thackery’s success in upcoming assemlby elections in Maharashtra assembly.
