As the dangerous battle between Ukraine and mighty Russia is becoming more fierce there has been a talk about ‘Budapest Memorandum of security assurance’ . In 1994 Ukraine had surrendered her nuclear weapons after signing a triparty treaty with USA and Russia who gave them security assurance and agreed to respect ‘independence and sovereignty of Ukraine’s existing borders. After getting independent from Soviet Block Ukraine had agreed to sign nuclear non-proliferation treaty (NPT) in 1994 along side Belarus and Kazakhstan, the other two countries that were left with nuclear weapons after the collapse of Soviet Union. Ukraine political leadership is now getting threats by Putin’s Russia for a possible nuclear attack. Astrologically a ‘third world war’ or use of nuclear weapon by Russia is not likely to happen. However, the current situation is a major setback to the ‘Strategic Arms Reduction treaty of 1991’ signed between USA and Russia. This scenario may also start a new ‘nuclear arms race’ which will eventually be bad for the world economy in years to come.
As per the foundation horoscope of Russia, which is of Virgo ascendant, the current transit of Saturn over her natal Moon in Capricorn has brought her under baneful ‘Sadhe-Sati’. The ‘dasha Chiddra’ of Rahu-Mars is about to come from next year. Mars is in the 7th house of war which indicate that this country, even after facing tremendous economic sanctions, will indulge into arms race and war mongering’s against her enemies. This will leads to Russia’s dictatorial ruler Putin’s downfall sometimes around 2024 to 2025 when the 8th lord Mars, in the foundation chart of Russia, would have been touched by transit Rahu and also by Saturn from Pisces sign one by one. On the 22nd of January this year (2022) i had discussed the horoscope of Ukraine and her president Zelensky forecasting a ‘possible territorial war’ between Russia and Ukraine from the third week of February ‘ {Refer link : Saturn’s transit from Dhanishta Nakshtra and Russia-Ukraine conflict‘ }. The astrological reasoning which i had given about a possible Russia-Ukraine war from the third week of February 2022, was the transit of Saturn from the Janma Nakshatra of Ukraine and her adverse dasha of Jupiter-Venus in Vimshottari. I was expecting a territorial war but Putin’s full scale invasion of Ukraine gave an unpleasant surprise.

In the birth chart of Ukraine there is a bad conjunction of four planets from both lagna and Moon. Her 3rd and 12th lord Jupiter falls in the 8th house, showing loss of territory, along with 8th lord Sun. Then there is an afflicted Rahu in the 12th house, as Mars aspect it, which indicate war losses. Ukraine has earlier lost Crimea in 2014 when Russia annexed it with her mainland giving reasoning’s that it has majority of Russian speaking population. Later Russia helped rebels in Eastern parts of Ukraine’s which further created problems between the two. After the ascendency of Zelenesky into Ukraine’s power centre the relations between the two countries started becoming more inimical. The Vimshottari maha dasha of Jupiter anter dasha of Venus and Pratyenter dasha of Moon is running in the chart of Ukraine from 11 January 2022 to 2 April 2022. The sub-sub period lord Moon is the lord of 7th house of war.
Moon is placed in Capricorn sign along with retrograde Saturn in the ascendant of Ukraine. I had forecasted war between Russia and Ukraine from the third week of February on the basis the transit Saturn would have then entered into ‘Dhanishta’ the Janma Nakshtra of Ukraine. Saturn will remain in Dhanishta Nakshatra for about 12 months as it will become retrograde in this Nakshatra in June and will become direct from October month. Saturn’s transit from Dhanishta Nakshatra will remain till March 2023 which will be very difficult period for the national security of Ukraine and also for her economy. The country may have to face a long territorial war or border clashes with Russia who may divide it into two parts taking control of the eastern region mainly.

In the Taurus lagna chart of Ukraine President maha dasha of Moon anter dasha of Jupiter and Pratyanter of Venus is running at present (Moon-Jupiter-Venus). As per Parashari rules these three all functional malefic for Taurus lagna native. I am more concern about his security as it is a ‘Madhya Ayu Kundali’ i.e. middle age span chart as per Jaimini methods. Moon is conjoined with 7th lord Mars, Jupiter is in 2nd house (another Maraka house) and Venus as 6th lord (Violence) is combust and in mutual aspect with Maraka Mars. It is clear danger to his till middle of April when Moon-Jupiter-Venus period will end (28 January 2022 to 19 April 2022).

There is a clear danger to his life from enemies.

The economic sanctions imposed on Russia has hurt her banking sector and stock market tremendously. Astrologically there is a clear danger that Russia will continue to create problems for Ukraine in coming few months by breaking ceasefires agreements and creating ‘territorial war’ like situation repeatedly. See the natal Moon of Russia which is in Capricorn at 11 degrees and which is going close to her natal Rahu placed in the 5th house. Moon is hemmed between retrograde Saturn and Rahu in the 5th house showing humiliations Russia has to face immediately after the collapse of former Soviet Union. Putin’s downfall in 2024-25 foreseen astrologically
Russia will complete her 36 years in 2024 which as per a Bhrigue principal will be a period of major challenges and changes in her ruling setup. In year 2024 the transiting Rahu will be in Pisces right over her 8th lord Mars which is highly adverse. Then Saturn will come into Pisces in December 2024 and by 2025 it will reach right over the natal 8th lord Mars in the foundation horoscope of Russia. First Rahu and then Saturn will sign the ‘warrant of death’ for Putin’s dictatorial regime in Russia.
