In a historic development the Bhariyiya Janata Party (BJP) become the part of a government coalition in Muslim-majority state of Jammu and Kashmir for the very first time. The BJP, rooted in Hindu Nationalism, agreed to become a junior partner to the People Democratic Party (PDP), a regional player in Jammu & Kashmir having leaders from separatist background, led by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as the chief minister of the coalition government. This could be the beginning of a new era in the politics of the state, which has a long history of insurgency and unrest. India and Pakistan both control the parts of Jammu & Kashmir, but claim it full. Since 1947, this region has witnessed four wars and has suffered from continuous cross-border terrorism for the last 3 decades. Because of it, development projects have been derailing in the state and there is widespread discontent among the youth due to unemployment.
Nevertheless, the new PDP-BJP government in Jammu & Kashmir has raise new hopes not only for the development of state but also for engaging separatist leaders in the dialogue with central government to help in resolving the Kashmir dispute with Pakistan. Both the parties, having different ideologies, have agreed to run the government on a common minimum program that put emphasis on the understanding of the following disputed matters.
- The ‘Armed Forces Special Powers Act’ or AFSPA, which has been the subject of deep-seated public anger in Kashmir valley, will be review considering the security situation in the different parts of the state.
- On the Article 370, the ‘status que’ i.e. the present situation will be maintain on all the constitutional provisions including the special status for the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
- The coalition government will facilitate and initiate a dialogue with Hurriyat Conference and other internal stakeholders irrespective of their ideological views and leanings.
- The state government will take measures for sustenance and livelihood of the West Pakistan refugees.
Now in the light of above political development see the horoscope of Kashmir accession which is set for the date and time when the Indian Government executed the legal document signed by Maharaja Hari Singh, the rule of the erstwhile princely state of Jammu & Kashmir, with the union of India on the terms of accession.
Kashmir Accession
27 October 1947, 13 hours and 21 minutes at Srinagar ( 31 N 06′ and 74 E 48′)
Balance of Dasha in Vimshottari : 10 years 7 months 23 days of Saturn dasha
In the horoscope of Kashmir accession a movable sign Capricorn is rising with Mars in the 7th house of war along with lagna lord Saturn astrologically explaining the long war-torn history of the state. In Mundane astrology the 7th house is the house of war or war like situation and in the chart of Kashmir accession the 7th lord Moon is place in the 3rd house of state borders in a ‘Kemadruma’ yoga. Also, notice that there is no benefic in Kendra from Moon so it becomes very weak here. At present it is Moon-Mercury ( 20 April 2014 to 19 September 2015) period in Vimshottari is running in the chart of Kashmir accession. As per a research of Shri K.N. Rao the periods of Moon-Mercury or Mercury-Moon should be observe very carefully as they can invite disputes and mental agonies particularly when these planets are weak or afflicted in the horoscope.
In the horoscope of Kashmir accession, the Moon and Mercury are place in a bad 6/8 position from each other. Mercury is retrograde and under the malefic aspect of Mars which add to the miseries. As we know that BJP and PDP have agree to form the coalition government after a hard negotiations for two months, after the declaration of elections results in December 2014, so the situation looks real tough considering the fact that both parties have distinct set of ideologies. The BJP has already bent down on the issue of Article 370. The matter of the re-settlement of ‘Kashmiri Pandits’ in valley may also become cause of disagreement between the two parties in days to come.
The difference of two parties comes to the fore on the very first day in office, when Mr.Sayeed thanked Pakistan, separatists in the state and militants for holding back on disruptive activities during elections. A day after of this controversial statement of PDP patron his party legislators circulated a written statement to the media demanding the return of Afzal Guru’s, the 2001 Parliament attack convict, mortal remains. Afzal Guru, who was hang on February 9, 2013 inside Tihar Jail for his involvement in December 2001 attack on the Parliament, had receive moral support from PDP legislator who brought in a resolution in the state assembly seeking clemency for him. The PDP has always maintained that late Afzal Guru’s hanging was ‘travesty of justice’. On the other hand the BJP had earlier vigorously demanded the hanging of Afzal Guru .
The political Pandit’s had never even imagined that PDP and BJP might form a coalition in the state assembly of Jammu & Kashmir ever. However, when the results for 87 member’s state assembly of Jammu & Kashmir were declare in December 2014 the situation become very peculiar. BJP for the first time in history emerged as the second largest party with 25 seats in the state assembly of Jammu & Kashmir. PDP had won 28 seats and then incumbent chief minister Omar Abdulla’s National Conference (NC) could manage only 15 seats. Congress party got 12 seats only. The BJP had won all of its 25 seats from the Hindu majority Jammu region. For forming a government, the magical number of 44 has to be reach. Since PDP could never mingle with their archrival National Conference, so the only possibility left with them to form a coalition with the BJP.
Now as per the horoscope of Kashmir accession, this ‘odd political marriage’ between the PDP and BJP is going to end in a divorce before completing its tenure. In year 2016, the Jupiter and Rahu transiting from Leo will activate the 8th house of Kashmir accession as Saturn from Scorpio would also be giving aspect to Leo. At that time, it will be Moon-Venus in Vimshottari running in the chart of Kashmir accession. The bitterness between the PDP and BJP will grew to a level that they might separate with each other. In any case, if they survive then it will be for the Vimshottari dasha of Mars starting from June 2018 to culminate this ‘odd political marriage’ into a divorce. Mars from the 7th house is afflicting the 10th house/lord showing this possibility.
Nevertheless, before this there will be lots of controversial events, terrorist activities and violations of LOC (line of control) disrupting peace in the state of Jammu & Kashmir in year 2015. The total solar eclipse of 20 March 2015 and then the total lunar eclipse of 28 September 2015 will be in Pisces rashi right over the natal Moon of Kashmir accession chart. These two eclipses will be dangerous for the peace of Kashmir valley considering the bad dasha of Moon-Mercury in operation in the chart of Kashmir accession.
Now see the oath-taking chart of PDP-BJP government.
Swearing-in-chart of Mufti Mohammed Sayeed
1 March 2015, 11 hours and 13 minutes at Jammu ( 74E 52’ and 32N 44’ )
Tithi-Shukla Ekadashi, Vaar- Sunday , Nakshatra– Punaravasu , Yoga– Saubhagya , Karna-Vishti
Mufti Muhammed Sayeed, the 79- year- old PDP leader, took office as the chief minister and BJP’s Nirmal Singh was sworn in as his deputy. The oath taking ceremony in Jammu was attended by top leaders of BJP including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the Rashi chart of oath-taking the fixed sign Taurus is rising, which is good, but in Navamsha and Dashamsha the 12th house Aries rising is not a welcome thing. There is no benefic planet in the Kendra (square) from the ascendant which is an inherent weakness of this chart. However, the lagna lord Venus strongly place in its sign of exaltation in the 11th house shows that the state government will gets lots of funding for its development projects which is very good. Prime Minister Modi during his election speeches in Jammu & Kashmir once famously said that “youth of Kashmir should never think of holding ‘AK-47’ in their hands instead think about taking ‘Android One’ mobile in their hand”. Modi have also promise to develop Jammu as a ‘smart city’ in years to come.
In the oath-taking chart the 9th house has benefic 5th lord Mercury under the aspect of 11th lord Jupiter and 9th lord Saturn which will be good for the promotion of tourism industry in the state. A good 9th and 11th house in the oath-taking chart shows that the policy direction of the state government will be towards earning more revenue from the tourism industry.
The 4th lord Sun is giving aspect to its own house and apart from it the 10th lord Saturn is also giving aspect to the 4th house which signifies the development of landed property and infrastructure in the state in coming years.
However, the transiting Rahu will move into Leo eclipsing the 4-10 axis of the oath-taking chart of PDP-BJP government very soon in year 2016. It will bring some serious disturbances which will get aggravated in year 2018 when Saturn will be transiting from Sagittarius the 8th house of this oath-taking chart signaling the end of this coalition government in a bitter manner.
