Hindu New Year will begin at the time of a total solar eclipse on the 8^th of April 2024 on Monday. This solar eclipse will be visible at the North and some parts of the South American continent but not in India. The Hindu New Year begin on Monday night on 8^th of April 2024 at 23:50:57 hours (IST) when Chaitra Amavasya (no Moon day) ends and the Chaitra Shukla Pratipada starts. Although, the horoscope cast for the Hindu New Year is for Monday but since the Pratipada (first lunar day) Tithi at the time of Sun rise is on Tuesday morning so the lord of the Hindu New Year will be Mars. Interestingly, in the Hindu New Year horoscope 2024-25 for India the conjunction of Saturn and Mars in the 3rd house is likely to give very enigmatic results and some violent incidents during the year of general elections in the country. There will also be some major restrictions on some media houses and freelance  journalists in India by the ruling central government which will get widespread international criticism.

As per the Chapter number 19 ‘Graha Varsha Phala Adhyay’ of Brihat Samhita of Varahmihira if Mars become the king of Hindu New Year then there are lots of fire accidents in town and forests, dusty winds blows, fear from robbers and thief, loss of wealth and animals etc. is foreseen. As per modern observations Mars becoming the King of Hindu New Year can bring a war or war like situation in the country. This year India will face a war like situation with China and/or Pakistan as some border clashes will take place but since the 7^th house of Hindu New Year horoscope (chart 1) is not afflicted by malefic planets so no major war is foreseen.

At the time of Sun’s entry into Aries (13 April 2024, 21:04:47 at Delhi) the day is Saturday and its lord Saturn become the minister of the New year. As per Varsha Prabodha if Saturn become the minister of New Year then there will be no happiness for the general public and rainfall is not sufficient.

Inflation foreseen

In the Hindu New Year horoscope the conjunction of Mars and Saturn indicate inflation which could be due to the prices of oil as on the day of the  eclipse these two planets will be at the 7^th house of the foundation chart of USA which may face a war like situation leading to the higher oil prices across the globe. This will also have its impact on India where consumer may have to pay high prices for oil and cooking gas during the second half  of the year 2024. As per the book “Vyapaar Ratna”, a financial astrology text in Hindi, by legendary astrologer Pandit Hardeo Sharma Shastri Trivedi the conjunction of Mars and Saturn in malefic Rashi’s give inflation i.e. price rise. We have seen this rule working during March-April 2022 when Mars and Saturn first conjoined in Capricorn on 26^th of February 2022 and remain together throughout March month , and then the  ‘Atichari Saturn’ (fact moving Saturn) followed Mars in Aquarius sign and had another conjunction on 29^th of April which continued for few days. This was the period when Russia-Ukraine war had brought food crisis, higher inflation and eroding wages problems across many countries of the world.

Now this time the conjunction of Mars-Saturn in Aquarius on the day of total solar eclipse and a Hindu New Year will again bring war like condition and inflation across the blog but the magnitude of it will less as compare to year 2022. However, the rising prices of essential food items and fuel (petrol and diesel) will be a challenge to control for the government in year 2024 in India.

Also, this Mars-Saturn conjunction in the 3^rd house also shows a very big deal to procure weapons for the army which will make the headlines in the year 2024. ISRO’s Gayanyaan Project will also be a success as the 5^th house having two good benefic planets and the influence of three planets Mars, Saturn and Jupiter on the 9^th house of scientific achievements is good astrological indication for it.

Major Achievements in Sports

In the Hindu New Year horoscope Sagittarius lagna rising and the 3^rd house has Mars and Saturn in it. The solar ingress of Cancer will hold its sway during the stay of Sun in Cancer sign (Karka Rashi)  from 16^th of July to 16^th of August for a period of 30 days. In the Karka Samkranti or Solar Ingress of Cancer the Virgo lagan is rising which is the 5^th house of the foundation horoscope of India. The lord of 3^rd house in this chart is Mars which is giving aspect to its own house. Jupiter and Saturn are also giving aspects to the 3^rd house of sports. Also, the 5^th house of entertainment is getting aspects of Sun, Venus, Mercury and also Jupiter. So, this time period will be very significant for sports persons, film stars, authors, stock market traders etc. of India.

In the last Olympic Games in Tokyo India has won 7 medals (1 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze). Neeraj Chopra’s gold in Jevelin throw was the highlight for India in Tokyo Olympic. Neeraj Chopra is only the second after Abhinav Bindra to win an individual Olympic Gold medal for our country. This year at Paris Neeraj Chopra is likely to create a history after winning the second gold medal in Javelin throw in consecutive Olympic events as stars are very promising for India at the time of this event in Paris. Stock market traders will get benefit during 2024 and also some media houses. But since 5^th lord Mars is in the Nakshtra of Rahu and is conjoined with Saturn so there will be an exposure of a big scam in media, journalism and stock market during April 2024 to April 2025 which will shock the entire nation. There will also be some major restrictions on some media houses and freelance  journalist in India which will received widespread international criticism. 

Chart 4. Horoscope of Indian Republic

The Horoscope of Hindu New Year or Pisces New Moon gives general indication about coming one year for a particular country. The horoscope of Hindu New Year is cast for the time when Sun and Moon are at the same longitude in Pisces sign during the beginning of the lunar month of ‘Chaitra’. Horoscope of Hindu New Year 2023-24 for India

The Pisces New Moon is on 21^st of March 2023 at 22 hours and 53 minutes (Indian Standard Time) at Delhi on Tuesday when at the time of Sun rise the Tithi is ‘Krishna Amavasya’. The ‘Pratipada’ will come at the Sun rise time of next day i.e. on 22^nd of March on the day of Wednesday. So, the day lord of Wednesday, which is Mercury, will become the King of Hindu New Year 2023-24.

As per Brihat Samhita “In the year of Mercury, the hypocrites, thugs and wicked people get lots of success in their work. Those who do unique deeds, are proficient in singing, common citizens, painters and writers grow a lot. Mathematicians and war-skilled people also progress. There are mutually unexpected changes in the behavior of kings”.

As per Varsha Prabodha if Mercury becomes the King of New Year there will be good rains and celebrations take places in cites. People perform lots of charities and health of masses improves. So, Mercury becoming the King of New Year appears to be good for the global economy which is now in the process of recovery after COVID-19 Pandemic and Russia-Ukraine war which was started in February 2022.

Economic Progress foreseen: India will continue to be the fastest growing economy in the world as we have a strong 11^th house in the horoscope of Hindu New Year 2023-24 (March 2023 to March 2024). In the Scorpio rising chart the 9^th lord Moon is in conjunction with 10^th lord Sun is making a grand Raja Yoga. The conjunction of 2^nd and 5^th lord Jupiter along with 11^th lord Mercury in the 5^th house is a good Dhana Yoga which is good for tourism, cinema, education, hospitality and entertainment industry in general.

All these four planets are giving aspect to the 11^th house of gains. Mars the lagna and 6^th lord in the 8^th house also aspect the 11^th from its fourth aspect. So, the 11^th house getting the aspect of as many as 5 planets will make India the engine of global economic growth during financial year 2023-24.

Bitterness Between Ruling BJP and Opposition Parties increase : The placement of lagna lord Mars in the 8th house is inauspicious for the ruling central government. On the other hand the lord of 7th house of opposition parities goes into the 6th house of strife and disputes. The aspect of Saturn on it shows trouble for the opposition parties and also a major public protest movement against the government.

Unemployment Rate will reduce:

Prime Minister Modi had recently announced the recruitment drive for 10 lakh jobs which are vacant in the central government departments. The Hindu New Year chart indicate that apart from the central government many of the state governments will also make arrangements to fill the vacant posts in many of their departments which will bring positive growth in the job market. The strong 5^th house, having benefic Mercury and Jupiter, in the Hindu New Year chart is also a good indication for students preparing for various competition examinations for getting jobs in government and semi-government sectors.

The unemployment rate in India was 7.4% as on February 2023 which is likely to reduce a little by the end of financial year 2023-24. In the Navamsha of Hindu New Year Leo sign is rising with Sun and Moon in the lagna and 11^th lord Mercury is in the 3^rd house which is auspicious for job market in the country. But in the Rashi chart Saturn from the 10^th aspect the 10th house which shows that central government will not be able to fulfill her promise to fill the vacant 10 Lakhs jobs before March 2024 in any case.

Good Rainfall Foreseen: The minister of the year is Venus as Sun enters into Aries on Friday  (14^th of April 2023) which as per Varsha Prabodha is good for rainfall but gives trouble from pests  to farmers. Moreover, the Meghesha (the minister of rains) is  Jupiter as Sun enter into Ardra Nakshtra on 22^nd of June 2023 at 17 hours 53 minutes. Sun enters into Ardra Nakshtra on Thursday Shukla Panchami (5^th day of brighter half) when Moon is in Cancer sign which is also very good for rainfall in the entire year 2023.

Difficult Year for Farmers:  In the Hindu New Year horoscope Saturn is in the 4^th house in the Nakshatra of Rahu. The 4^th house is the house which signify farmers. In Navamsha we have Mars in the 4^th house. So, the presence of hard malefic planets in the 4^th house of Rashi and Navamsha of Hindu New Year indicate some difficulty for country’s farmers. In planetary cabinet ‘Sasyesha’ (minister of farm production) becomes Moon as it enters into Cancer sign on Monday on 17 July 2023. As per Varsha Prabodha Sun’s the day lord of Sun’s entry into Cancer become the lord of farm production i.e. Sasyesha. When Moon become the lord of farm production then during that year cows gives plenty of mil and there is good rainfall and farm product will be higher. But since the 4^th house in the Hindu New Year chart has malefic disposition so, it is highly likely that farmers in India will not get minimum support price guarantee and there will be some more agitations on the issues of farming in the coming year.

Controversies in mines and mineral sector foreseen: The planetary portfolio of ‘Neerasesha’ (lord of mines and minerals) goes to Sun as Sun enters into Makar Rashi (Capricorn sign) on 15^th of January 2024 at 03:00 am on the day of Sunday . The prices of gold , copper, gem stones is likely to increase as Sun is the lord of mines and minerals. But since lagna and 6^th lord Mars is in the 8^th house so some controversy and scandal in the mining sector can’t be ruled out as per the Hindu New Year horoscope 2023-24.

Dangers Ketu Anter Dasha  for India: In the foundation horoscope of India (chart 2) the Moon and Anter Dasha of Ketu is running from 10 December 2022 to 11 July 2023. Ketu is in the 7^th house of war, opposition parties, foreign treaties etc. Ketu’s depositor is Mars which is in the 2^nd house a ‘Maraka’ Bhava so the anter dasha of Ketu shows a major danger for the country. In Navamsha Ketu goes into the 6^th house of strife and terrorist activities. Ketu is known as ‘Shikhi’ in the classical texts of Hindu Astrology. During the maha dasha of Ketu (1982 to 1989) in the foundation horoscope of India we had seen deadly Sikh insurgency in Punjab state. Now recently there had been menace of Khalistani supporters in Punjab state where it was reported that there were instances to revive terrorism in Punjab. But as per my astrological understanding the matter will subside after July this year when Ketu sub period will get over.

But before this the  period from 21 March 2023 to 11 July 2023 can bring major terrorist activist, border tensions and crime against women. Now see the chart 1 of Hindu New Year where 7^th lord is Venus going into the 6^th house along with Rahu in the sign of Mars and getting aspect of Saturn which is functional malefic for this chart. A major crime against women and sex scandal will shock the entire nation within few days of the start of Hindu Year 2023. The lord of 6^th house is Mars which is in the 8^th house showing that a major scandal will trouble the central government throughout year which may have some foreign connection as 12^th and 7^th lord Venus is in the 6^th house of disputes along with Rahu. In Navamsha of Hindu New Year chart the 7^th house is getting the aspect of both Mars and Saturn which is another indication for rise in the sex crime against women in the country. Law related with marriage and Uniform Civil Code will also become a matter of major controversy in the country throughout Hindu New Year 2023-24.

A scandal in the banking sector is also possible as Mars in the Hindu New Year chart is giving aspect to the 2^nd house of state exchequer.
