In Medini Jyotish (Mundane astrology) , there has been an old tradition of studying the solar and lunar eclipses with both classical and modern methods. As per the classical methods it is first observed in which lunar month, zodiacal sign and constellation the eclipse is falling. Then the results of the eclipse are interpreted on the basis of area where the said eclipse is visible and the zodiacal sign and constellation signifying it getting the auspicious or inauspicious effects of some planets on it. As per the modern methods the effects of eclipses are studied on the foundation horoscopes of countries, its rulers and important persons. The lunar eclipse of 26 May 2021 is affecting some sensitive areas of the foundation chart of India and its Prime Minister Modi’s Janma Nakshatra (birth star) Anuradha. As per the classical text an eclipse at the birth star or Janma Nakshatra of the ruler of the country is bad for the inhabitant of the nation if other conditions are also unfavourable. This eclipse is also bad for some South Eastern countries like Indonesia, Philippines and also for Japan as there could be some damage due to medium range earthquakes.
The lunar eclipse on 26 May will be fully visible in Australia, West America, some countries of South America but in India it will be seen only in some parts of North-eastern like Odisha and West Bengal. Interestingly the state of Orissa and West Bengal are already battling with the ‘Yaas strom’ which can create a havoc soon. According to Brihat Samhita, the lunar eclipse in Scorpio is inauspicious for physicians
The horoscope of lunar eclipse is cast for the time when the longitude of Sun and Moon are equal. On 26th of May 2021 this condition is observed at 16:43 hours as per the Indian Standard time.
The eclipse falling in the Scorpio zodiac, according to the fifth century scripture Brihat Samhita, affects badly the ‘Udumbar Pradesh’ (Punjab province of India and Kangra Valley region), Madra Desh (present-day Punjab in Pakistan especially between Ravi and Chenab river) and Chola ( South India) i.e South Indian states of India. According to the Brihat Samhita, the eclipse of Scorpio is inauspicious for the trees, warriors and those who earn a living using poisons and chemicals, i.e. in the present context, this eclipse can trouble doctors and drug makers . There will be a very rapid increase in the incidence of fire in the forests immediately after the eclipse, which will cause a large number of tree damage. India’s health workers and physicians will have to face great difficulties in overcoming the Corona epidemic. The ongoing spat of words between Baba Ramdev and Indian Medical Association doctors may result into legal disputes which will run for years. The bad effects of corona pandemic may increase in some South Indian states like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu as this lunar eclipse is not good for Chola Pradesh as per Brihat Samhita.
Eclipse in Anuradha Nakshatra is inauspicious for big leaders and religious Guru’s
This eclipse is falling in the Anuradha Nakshatra, under which ‘brave and powerful people, party leaders, union leaders, sadhus, gentlemen, famous people, kharif crops etc. fall. According to Brihat Samhita, this eclipse of Anuradha Nakshatra may give trouble to the above mention people. By Janma lagna and Moon sign the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi is Scorpio and his birth constellation is Anuradha. On September 17, 1950, Mr. Narendra Modi was born with Scorpio rising at the Ascendant in the afternoon at 12:09 pm at Vadnagar, Gujarat. Now there shall be an eclipse on the natal Moon sitting in the ascendant, which is very inauspicious for him. He is under the inauspicious dasha of Mars and anter dasha of Rahu which is in the 5th house of wisdom which is very sensitive for his health and career. There will be some severe emergency like situation during his reign in the next three months. There may also be a possibility of imposition of some emergency laws which would be dislike by the people in general. The ongoing controversies related to Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev will ignite further after this eclipse as it is bad for religious teachers.

The Vimshottari Dasha of Mars-Rahu from 3 May 2021 to 21 May 2022 is going to be the most difficult period for the mental health and political career of Mr. Modi. Noticeable point here is that at the time of an eclipse on the natal Sun, Moon or Lagna if the native is under the sub periods (anter dasha) of malefic planets especially Rahu or Ketu then the bad effects of that eclipse gets more aggravated. In his birth chart the presence of ‘Unmmad Yoga’, ‘ Chandra- Mangal Yoga’ and ‘Buddha-Ketu’ Yoga are not good for health as it may produce the symptoms of some illness related with brain or mind. Situation of war foreseen at the borders of Arunachal Pradesh
According to Indian time, the eclipse will be at its peak at 14 hours and 43 o’clock in the evening, when the Moon in the lunar chart will be facing the Sun in the Scorpio zodiac sign 11 degrees 16. There is also an indication of a big international conspiracy against India as this eclipse is falling at the 7th house of the foundation chart of the country which is of Taurus lagna. The eclipse falling in the seventh house of the horoscope of Taurus ascendant India is indicating the state of emergency. The horoscope of Arunachal Pradesh, established on February 20, 1987 (mid night at Itanagar) , falls in Lagna Scorpio. The Vimshottari dasha of Saturn-Rahu is running in the horoscope of Arunachal Pradesh. Saturn is in the lagan under the aspect of Mars from the 6th house. An eclipse can create a war like situation on the borders of this state of the Northeast. For the coming three months after the eclipse, India will have to be vigilant with its neighbouring China’s deception and guile. The transit Mars will move into Cancer sign on the 3rd of June. Interestingly at the time when China had attacked India’s border on the 20th of October 1962, Mars was in Cancer, Saturn was in Capricorn and Jupiter was transiting from Aquarius. The same position of these major planets as per the Vedic astrology system is observed in the month of June and July this year.

The lunar eclipse of 26 May 2021 is visible in some Northern parts of USA. The president of the country Mr. Joe Biden (born on 20 November 1942, 08:30 am at Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA) has birth chart with Scorpio rising in the ascendant. Interestingly his Janma lagna (ascendant) falls in Anuradha Nakshatra which is the constellation where this lunar eclipse will be visible. Since lunar eclipse of 26 May 2021 is affecting the lagna Nakshatra of Joe Biden so it is also sensitive for him. Joe Biden is currently running the Jupiter-Rahu-Mercury from 19 May 2021 to 21 September 2021. This dasha is little sensitive for his health as the Pratyanter dasha lord Mercury is under affliction in both Rashi and Navamsha chart. Joe Biden may also take some aggressive stand against China on the issue of alleged COVID-19 spread from its Wuhan province in December 2019.
