In the span of just one month of the Lunar Eclipse of 16th/17th of July India has lost two of her most dignified women politicians. Smt. Sheila  Dikshit left us on 20 July and yesterday Smt. Sushma Swaraj had her last breath at her Delhi residence. This lunar eclipse, which had fallen at the 8th house of the foundation chart of India, has to be very enigmatic giving national mourning as i had discuss in my post earlier. Sushma Swaraj was India’s most loved women politician. She served as the External Affair Minister of India from May 2014 to May 2019. Earlier she had handled various cabinet portfolios in the Vajpayee Government during 1998 to 2004. She was struggling from her health after a kidney transplant in December 2016 and had opted out of taking a cabinet berth in  second Modi government in May 2019. I got her horoscope long back from my teacher Shri K.N. Rao. Her actual year of birth was 1953 not 1952 as given in her official records.

In the Vrishabha lagna horoscope of Sushma Swaraj the lagan lord Venus is exalted in the 11th house with Mars which has to give her fame at very young age. She was an eminent advocate and got elected for the Haryana legislative assembly in 1977 when she was in her mid 20’s. Haryana those days was a very conservative society for women. It was a big achievement for her to enter into the field of politics and get success at such a young age then. This was because of her excellent dasha order related with the 9th house of luck. She studied law in the maha dasha of Rahu ( 1953 to 1971) and then in Jupiter ( 1971- 1987). She practice as an advocate in the Supreme Court of India during the maha dasha of Jupiter.

A strong Ketu in the 3rd house of communication gave Sushma Swaraj a rare command over many languages. Ketu in the 3rd house get the aspect of 9th and 10th lord Saturn. The 3rd lord Moon is in the 10th house in a good Raja Yoga as it is conjoined with 4th lord Sun and 5th lord Mercury. This yoga explain her excellent oratory skills which were unparalleled.  After former Prime Minister Atal Bihar Vajpayee she was perhaps the best speaker in the Parliament from the BJP.

Her famous political fight  with Sonia Gandhi 

In September 1999 BJP nominated Sushma Swaraj to contest against then Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi from Bellari in Karnataka which was a stronghold of Congress since the days of Indira Gandhi. Sushma Swaraj learned Kannada language to an extend for giving some public speeches during the campaign which were impressive. She secure more than 3.5 laksh votes and was defeated only with a margin of 7% of votes. It was during her Vimshottari dasha of Saturn-Moon which gave her great national fame. During December 2009 to May 2014 she was the leader of opposition from the BJP. It was her dasha of Mercury in Vimshottari which is in the 10th house in Rashi and Navamsha chart.

The horoscope of Sushma Swaraj falls in ‘Madhya- Aayu’ category mainly. There is no benefic in the Kendra from both lagna and Moon except Mercury. The 8th lord Jupiter falls in the 12th house, 3rd lord Moon is in deep combustion and 10th lord is not in Kendra or Trikona to give her much long life. Atamakaraka Jupiter is weak in Rashi and Navamsha. Moon in Navamsha has lost strength and goes into the 8th house. She had diabetics which affected her kidney and heart. An affliction to Venus, Jupiter, 6th house and 8th house explain diabetics. Sun is in Khumbha (Aquarius) and Mars giving aspect to the 5th house which has to give a  heart related aliment.

Venus the Karaka for kidney aliment is a functional malefic planet for Vrishabha (Taurus) lagna as per Sage Parashara. In a Taurus lagna chart if Venus is associated with Mars or Jupiter then it can give a fatal illness. Mars is a ‘Maraka’ planet for Taurus lagna and Jupiter is a functional malefic planet. Now see the situation in Trimshamsha horoscope more carefully. In Virgo lagna Trimshamsha chart 8th lord Mars is in the lagan which aspect the lagna lord Mercury. The 8th house has Sun and Saturn which is bad. Moon is in the 6th house in Trimshamsha tells the story of suffering from a severe disease. In Mercury-Rahu dasha in Vimshottari her kidney transplant was taken place in December 2016. Mercury and Rahu are in 2/12 position in Rashi chart. In Navamsha they are in 6/8 position. In Trimshamsha both are getting the bad aspect of Mars. The Mercury is under the bad aspects of Mars and Saturn in Navamsha which become fatal for her.

In Mercury-Jupiter dasha starting from November 2018 Sushma Swaraj declared that she will not context the 2019 general elections to save herself from dust and infection as she was then recovering from kidney transplant. Jupiter as the 8th lord in the 12th house is in mutual aspect with 10th lord Saturn shows a sudden break in career. In Mercury-Jupiter-Mercury she left this mortal world on the 6th of August 2019 due to a sudden cardiac arrest. Mercury as the 2nd lord is a Maraka for Taurus lagan as it is associated with Moon which is a functional malefic for being a 3rd lord here. Jupiter the sub period lord is 8th lord and 11th lord which is worst malefic for Taurus lagna.
