Ketu has been referred to as ‘Shikhi’ or crest. The one who is at the peak of its wisdom is another meaning of ‘Shikhi’ or Ketu. In the Taurus (Vrishabha) lagna foundation horoscope of India Ketu is in the 7th house of war or war like situation. Ketu is in the Nakshatra of 9th and 10th lord Saturn. The depositor of Ketu is Mars which is in the 2nd house, a ‘Maraka’ Bhava, along with Gulika. It was during September 1982 to September 1989 we had Ketu maha dasha operating in the foundation horoscope of India. That period of Ketu was marked with bloodshed in Punjab state which was burning because of ‘Sikh insurgency’ supported by Pakistan secretly. During this Ketu maha dasha we lost our Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi who was assassinated by her own body guards on 31 October 1984 just few months after infamous ‘Operation Blue Star’ in the month of June that year.
Then during Venus dasha and Ketu anter dasha on the 26th of November 2008 the city of Mumbai was attacked by a group of Pakistani terrorist. A total of 175 people died, including 9 terrorist, and more than 300 were wounded in a period of 3 days of war like situation in Mumbai then. The dasha or anter dasha of Ketu has never been favorable for India particularly at the time when other transiting planets are badly placed from lagna and Moon.
Foundation Horoscope of India
In the Navamsha and Dashamsha charts of India Ketu is placed in the 6th house of strife and violence. The period of Moon Maha Dasha and Ketu anter dasha is running from 10 December 2022 to 11 July 2023. The transiting Saturn will move into Aquarius in the 8th from natal Moon on the 17th of January 2023. Saturn will aspect the natal Ketu in the foundation horoscope of India from its 10th aspect in transit. If we superimpose this transit position in Navamsha and Dashamsha then transit Saturn would come over Rahu in Aquarius which is falling in the 12th house of losses.
So, from Parashari system we can foresee some major losses due to terrorist activity and/or accident which will bring a period of grief and tragedy affecting the central government badly in the period before July 2023. In Jaimini system the period of Aquarius-Cancer is running from 13 December 2022 to 14 July 2023. Aquarius and Cancer are in 6/8 position from each other. This dasha period shows strife, public protests and bitterness between ruling central government and opposition.
There will be no major danger of a new COVID variant during next few months though around the total lunar eclipse of 5th of May 2023 some new variant of Corona Virus will hit the headlines in India.
