A fortnight is a period of about two weeks between one full Moon and a new Moon (and vice versa). As per Hindi tradition of Medini Jyotish (Mundane Astrology) a fortnight or lunar chart is cast for the time when on Full Moon Sun and Moon are at exact opposite or on the New Moon the longitude of Sun and Moon is equal. This lunar horoscopes give very important indications and many a times help in forecasting major upheavals. Mostly a fortnight is of 15 days but sometimes due to a date loss  (Tithi Kshay) it could be of 14 days or due to a date increase (Tithi Vriddhi) the fortnight could be of 16 days. Very rarely it happen that two dates are lost in a fortnight and then we have a ’13 days fortnight’ which is considered as a very ominous indication  as per the classical texts like Bhavishya Phala Bhaskar and Varsha Prabodha.

If the date loss (Tithi Kshay) happen in brighter fortnight  (Shukla Paksha) then it is consider bad, though if the date loss happen in darker fortnight (Krishna Paksha) then it is consider auspicious. Similarly if the date increase (Tithi Vriddhi) comes in the brighter fortnight then it is auspicious while if the date increase happen in darker fortnight then it is deemed inauspicious.

As per Bhavishya Phala Bhaskar if a lunar fortnight is of 13 days then it bring lots of violence and destruction on the earth. As per some classical texts of Muhurata one should not perform any auspicious task during 13 days lunar fortnight.

A 13 days fortnight in September 2021

A 13 days lunar fortnight will come in the Bhadrapada  Shukla Paksha (brighter fortnight of Bhadra Pada lunar month) from 8^th of September to 20^th of September. In the Bhadra Pada Shukla Paksha two tithi’s are falling short or tithi Kshay (date loss) so this lunar fortnight is of 13 days only. The Shukla Pratipada and Shukla Tritiya Tithi in Bhadrapada month are falling short or Kshaya (date loss). A tithi is said to be lost or fall short when during one Sun rise to the another Sun rise there are two Tithi’s. This happen when a Tithi at the time of Sun rise ends early and the following  Tithi also ends before the next day Sun rise.

On the 7th of September the Sun rise is at 06:05 hours as per IST (Indian Standard Time). At the time of Sun rise there is ‘Amavasaya (No Moon) Tithi and after the Sun rise the first day of  brighter fortnight (Shukla Paksha) starts at 06: 21 hours IST. The first date (Tithi) of this brighter fortnight ends before the Sun rise of the next day i.e. on the 8th of September which was at 06:06 hours in the morning. So at the time of the Sun rise of the 8th of September there was second day of the brighter fortnight i.e. Shukla Dwitiya. Now the Shukla Pratipada i.e. the first day of brighter half is lost or fallen short as it had come between the Amavasya (No Moon) at the time of Sun rise of 7th of September and the Shukla Dwitiya (second day of brighter fortnight) on the 8th of September. Similarly the 13th day of the same fortnight has also been fallen short. So this fortnight has two Tithi’s falling short i.e. Kshaya or date loss. Thus this fortnight with name lunar month of Bhadrapada is of 13 days only instead of regular 15 days.

What does this 13 days fortnight in September 2021  foretells  ?

Due to the decay of Pratipada and Trayodashi Tithi in Bhadrapada Shukla Paksha, this fortnight will remain for 13 days, about which it is said that its ill effects can last from 13 days to 13 months according to the planetary position obtained at the time.  It is worth noting here In the month of May 2010, there was also a 13-day fortnight  in Vaishakha Shukla Paksha (Shuddha) within which many governments were toppled in many Middle East countries due to some major anti-corruption mass movements. Changes of power took place in Egypt, Libya and Tunisia. There were also large anti-corruption mass movements in Yemen, India and Pakistan. In the year 2010, Saturn was  in Virgo and Jupiter were in Pisces sign making an opposition to  each other and now  in 2021 the effect of Saturn-Jupiter  conjunction is going on. Due to the falling short of two Tithi’s  in the middle of 2010, there was a big political upheaval in the whole world within 13 months, so now in September 2021, there is a possibility of big geo-political changes  due to the fall of this  13-day fortnight.  After this fortnight , a civil war can break out against the Taliban rule in Afghanistan, which will have bad effects on world economy. Pakistan’s Pashtun-influenced border areas will be the most  affected. Tension will increase on the borders in North-India affected by Capricorn sign  and China ruled  by Cancer sign will also face difficult time.

In the horoscope of the 13 days fortnight given above we can see the aspects of Mars and Saturn on the 8th house which shows some major upheavals. In Navamsha we have luminaries in the 12th house along with Jupiter and Venus indicating some major falls in the stock markets around the world.

There will be turmoil in the economy due to the triangular position of Saturn, Jupiter, Mars and Rahu.

During this ‘Vishvaghasra’ Paksha of 13 days, Sun, Mars and Mercury will be in Virgo at the time of Surya Sankranti (Solar Ingress in Virgo)  falling on the 17th of September.   Jupiter  and Saturn both  will be retrograde in Capricorn and Rahu will be located in Taurus. The Virgo, Capricorn and Taurus  are the signs of the three earth elements, in which all the major planets have been transiting at the same time  after many decades, which is the indication  of major geopolitical changes in the whole world. Change of power in Germany’s elections, political instability in India and Pakistan,  Israel’s problems due to some espionage case are likely indicates from these planetary configuration. The India has Taurus ascendant, Israel has Virgo rising chart and China has his ascendant as Capricorn all coming under major planetary influences in transit during the month of September.

At the time of Sun’s entry into Virgo on the 17th of September 2021 we have all the major planets in earthy sign’s. Sun, Mars and Mercury in Virgo, Saturn and Jupiter in Capricorn and Rahu in Taurus. This is an indication of some medium range earthquakes during 30 days period from the Sun’s entry into Virgo on the 17th of September this year. These tremors may  be felt in the region of North-West India, Pakistan and Afghanistan as Capricorn sign is most influences. There will also be an impact of the 3rd wave of corona virus about which i had forecasted as early as 18th of April 2021 in my article “Planets and Second Wave of Corona Virus in India in 2021” 

In the middle of that article i had mention about 13 days fortnight in September and the possible third wave of Corona Virus which may affect the growth of Indian economy during the last fortnight of 2021. Notice here the position of Rahu-Ketu axis in the Rashi and Navamsha of the Solar Ingress horoscope, it is at the 6/12 axis. This shows pressure on the public health infrastructure started building again during the third wave of corona virus from the middle of September 2021 to middle of October 2021. In the Rashi and Navamsha of the Solar Ingress chart the 6th (epidemic), 8th (mass deaths) and 12th (hospital and public health infrastructure) houses lords  are under influences of malefic planets. But the third wave of COVID  will not be be as severe as what we have seen in India during the time of second wave from April to June which was total emergency like situation.

In the Rashi Sangatta Chakra we can see that Sun, Mars and Mercury in Virgo are in mutual aspect with Saturn, Jupiter and Moon in Capricorn at the time of Sun’s entry into Virgo i.e. on the 17th of September 2021. This important chart again gives the confirmations about a ‘war like situation’ during the coming months of September-October. The countries like Brazil ruled by Virgo will also get badly affected with COVID again during September-October months due to the above mention planetary position obtained during September to December 2021.

Danger of an Earthquake in September-October 2021

In the Solar Ingress chart of Virgo (Kanya Samkranti Kundali) Sun, Mercury and Mars are in Virgo, Rahu is in Taurus  while Saturn, Jupiter and Moon are in Capricorn. So we have all the major planets in earthy sign’s. This is a combination of an earthquake which may come during middle of September to middle of October this year. In Navamsha Sun is in Capricorn which is an earthy sign also confirm it. The are chances of some earthquake shocks in the Hindu-Kush region of Afghanistan and Pakistan and/or in Northern Parts of India.
