In the month of June this year newspapers reported that Anil Ambani is no longer remain a billionaire after he sold many of his stock holdings for the repayment of his debts. Anil Ambani was the world’s 6th richest man in 2008 with a wealth of $42 billion which now has shrunk below $1 billion in a span of 11 years. After the death of his father Dhirubhai Ambani in 2002 Anil Ambani took the reins of Reliance Group with business in entertainment, telecommunication, financial services, power and infrastructure. Everything was good for Anil Ambani till 2014 when he entered his enigmatic Saturn maha dasha which falls in the 12th house of losses in his Makar (Capricorn) lagna horoscope. Saturn is in the 12th house from the lagna and 8th from the natal Moon in the birth horoscope of Anil Ambani has to give him losses and humiliation. While his brother Mukesh Ambani’s flagship petrochemical and oil-refining business made him the richest man in Asia, it was Anil Ambani who was facing intense competition in the telecom sector.

The other prominent feature of this horoscope is the association of majority of planets with the 11th house and its lord explaining astrologically the status of his super rich elder brother. The 11th lord Mars conjoined with 5th lord Venus is a ‘Dhana Yoga’. The 7th lord Moon is conjoined with 9th lord Mercury is a Raja Yoga here. Moon as the 7th lord is also in exchange of houses with 5th lord Venus which is another Raja Yoga. But the biggest weakness of this horoscope is that lagna lord Saturn doesn’t involve in any Raja Yoga. Early life of Anil Ambani and Rise of his father Dhirubhai Ambani
Like the horoscope of his elder brother Anil Ambbani also have a strong 9th lord involve in Raja Yoga explaining the immaculate success his father got after his birth. The family was living in a two bedroom flat till 1970s. Anil Ambani got the maha dasha of Moon ( September 1963 to September 1973) and then dasha of Mars (September 1973 to September 1980) which were involve in Raja Yogas given rise to his father and helping him to achieve success in studies. In early 1980’s he went to USA for the study of Master’s in Business Administration. Earlier he had earned a Bachelor Degree in Science. By that time his father had become a famous businessman of India with their brand ‘Vimal’ shining in the booming textile industry then. The aspects of Venus and Mars on the ascendant made Anil Ambani a flamboyant personality who followed ‘new age business’ principals in running his finance, telecommunication and entertainment related business companies. Anil Ambani’s love marriage with Tina Munim
In the 1970’s Tina Munim was rising star of Hindi cinema. She had noticeable relationships with film star Sanjay Dutt and Rajesh Khanna in 1980’s. In 1986 she came into contact with Anil Ambani who met him in a marriage function. Both like each other but Anil Ambani’s family did not wanted a film actress to be their daughter-in-law. Anil Ambani has to maintain distance from her due to the family pressure. In the Vimshottari dasha of Jupiter-Saturn Anil Ambani’s father Dhirubhai Ambani was died. Jupiter is the lord of 3rd house which is the 7th house from the 9th house of father. Jupiter is in the 9th house from Sun and anter dasha lord Saturn is in the 8th house from Sun the natural Karaka for father explains it. Then notice the role of 12th house in this Jupiter-Saturn dasha (October 2000 to May 2003) in which he had disputes with his elder brother for the control of business empire of father Dhirubhai Ambani which at that time was worth 90 thousands crore.

Downfall of Anil Ambanil during Saturn maha dasha
The maha dasha of Saturn in the 12th house started in September 2014 which brought losses in the business of Anil Ambani who was struggling to handle competition in telecom venture. Anil Ambani’s Reliance Telecommunication was facing a cut-throat competition from Airtel, Tata Telecommunication, Aircel , Vodaphone etc. Anil Ambani had to take loans of millions of dollars to save his dream telecom business for which once he had feud with his elder brother Mukesh Ambani. Interestingly it was Mukesh Ambani’s telecom company JIO, which was launched in 2016, that dug the grave yard of Anil Ambani’s Reliance Telecommunication which has to shut down in 2018 due to losses.
