Planets and Education in Accountancy

Accountancy is known as the language of ‘business’ which measures an organizations economic activity and convey this information in a presentable manner to various stakeholders, including investors, creditors, management and regulatory bodies etc. In India ‘the Institute of Charted Accountants of India’ (ICAI) is a regulatory body for the profession of Charted Accountant’s in the country.

The Charted Accountant or CA course syllabus has subjects like Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, Financial Management & Economics, Finance, Corporate and Economic Laws, Management Accounting etc. In my study of more than 40 horoscopes of Charted Accountant’s , I have found the given below astrological combinations present in their birth charts and also in Chaturvimshamsha  (D-24).

1. The Position, Aspect or Conjunction between 2^nd (finances), 5^th (education) and 7^th (business) houses/lords have to be present along with influence of planets Jupiter (finance & management), Mercury (accountancy & audit) and/or Mars (law).
2. The connection between 10^th (career), 6^th (law & court cases) and 9^th (judiciary) houses/lords has been found in the horoscope of Charted Accountant’s who are working for major companies handling tax and audit matters with government authorities.

Let’s see some example horoscope to check the validity of above-mentioned astrological combinations. All the example horoscope given are casted using Chitra- Paksha or Lahiri Ayanamsa.

Chart 1. Dr.  Girish Ahuja : Born May 29, 1946 at 15 h. 05 m. at Lahore (74 E 20’ , 31 N 32’), Punjab, Pakistan with a balance of 4 years 10 months 6 days of Venus Dasha  at birth.

 

I am starting with the horoscope of India’s famous CA who is senior faculty at Shri Ram Collage of Commerce and visiting faculty member of the Institute of Charted Accountant India with experience of teaching ‘direct taxes’ for more than 35 years. He has co-authored the best-selling books on Income Tax, Direct taxes etc. He is also on the Board of Directors of many companies. I got his birth details from my senior astrologer friend who is giving consultancy to his brother since many years.

In this Virgo lagna chart 2^nd lord Venus is in conjunction with 5^th lord Saturn. The lord of 7^th house Jupiter is giving his 5^th aspect to the 5^th house. So, the connection between 2^nd (finance), 5^th (education) and 7^th (business) houses/lords are present in his birth chart. Now see the connection between the 10th (career), 6^th (law) and 9^th (judiciary) in his chart carefully. The 10^th lord is Mercury, which is significator of accountancy, is placed in the 9^th house. The 6^th lord Saturn is in the 10^th house of career.

Now come to the divisional chart Chaturvimshamsha   (D-24) which is to be seen for ‘Vidya’ i.e. education as recommended by Sage Parashara. In Chaturvimshamsha   Libra sign is rising with 2^nd and 7^th  lord Mars is placed in the 5^th house of education. The 5^th lord is Saturn which aspect the 7^th house of business. Mercury (accountancy) and Jupiter (finance) both aspect the lagna of Chaturvimshamsha  chart shows his command on the subject of higher accountancy. He was the rank holder in both CA intermediate and final examination.

Chart 2. Kumar Mangalam Birla: Born June 14, 1967, at 8 h. 45 m. at Calcutta (22 N 30’, 88 E 20’) with a balance of 10 months 9 days of Ketu Dasha  at birth.

The Cancer lagna chart given here is of India’s famous billionaire industrialist who is the chairman of the Aditya Birla Group. He holds a bachelor degree from HR Collage of Commerce and Economics of the University of Mumbai and later did his CA also. He has also done MBA from London Business School before taking over as the chairman of the Aditya Birla Group in 1995 at the age of 28. In his Cancer lagna birth chart 2^nd lord Sun aspect the 5^th house of education. The 5^th lord Mars is in mutual aspect with 7^th lord Saturn. So the connection between 2^nd , 5^th and 7^th houses/lord is present for the study of accountancy. Jupiter aspect the 5^th house of education but there is no influence of Mercury (accountancy & audit) over the houses 2^nd, 5^th or 7^th. The 10^th lord Mars aspect the 9^th house and also the 6^th house. So, the connection between 10^th (career), 6^th (law) and 9^th (judiciary) are also present for tax and corporate matters study. The two principals mention for the study of CA are applicable in his birth chart except the role of Mercury.

In Chaturvimshamsha   (D-24) chart Scorpio lagna is rising with 2^nd and 5^th lord Jupiter in the 5^th house. The 7^th lord Venus aspect the 2^nd house making a connection between 7^th (business) and 2^nd (finances) houses for the study of accountancy.

Chart 3. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala : Born July 5, 1960 at 11 h. 25 m. at Hyderabad (78 E 28’, 17 N 22’) with a balance of 4 years 6 months 26 days of Jupiter Dasha  at birth.

The Virgo lagna horoscope given here is of Rakesh Jhunjhunwala who died recently on 14^th of August 2022 leaving behind his legacy of $3.8 billion. He was often referred to as ‘Big Bull’ of stock market for his bullish outlook and aggressive investments. He graduated in commerce from Mumbai and later become Charted Accountant in 1985 after clearing examinations. In his Virgo lagna chart 2^nd lord Venus is in mutual aspect with 5^th lord Jupiter and 7^th lord Saturn fulfilling the condition for the study of accountancy. Mercury aspect the 5th house of education. The 10^th lord Mercury is not making any connection with 6^th and/or 9^th houses/lords but the 9^th lord Venus is in the 10^th house in mutual aspect with 6^th lord Saturn fulfilling the second condition which is necessary for the study of law and taxation. I have not taken the Chaturvimshamsha   (D-24) chart as the birth time given to me by astrologer, who connected him once, was between 11:25 am to 11:55 am. For Chaturvimshamsha   chart the accuracy of birth time should be precisely up to 4 minutes. He died during Venus Dasha  and Saturn Anter Dasha . Venus as the lord of 2^nd house from Janma lagna is ‘Maraka’, while Saturn is in conjunction with 7^th lord Jupiter also become the killer.

 

Case 4. CA Firm Owner: Born September 26, 1937 at 4 h. 00 m.  at Bareilly (75 E 25’, 28 N 21’), Uttar Pradesh with a balance of 0 years 9 months 1 day of  Moon Dasha  at birth.

This is the horoscope of Delhi’s famous charted accountant who trained many professional in his CA firm during his career spanning more than four decades. In Leo lagna horoscope 2^nd lord Mercury is in the lagna giving aspect to the 7^th house. The 7^th lord Saturn in in the 8^th house from where its aspect the 2^nd house and also the 5^th house. The lord of 5^th house is Jupiter in own sign along with Mars giving aspect to the 2^nd lord Mercury. So, the first condition of the connection between 2^nd (finance), 5^th (education) and 7^th (business) houses/lord along with planets Mercury (accountancy & audit), Jupiter (finance) and Mars (law) is fulfilled beautifully in his chart.

The 10th lord Venus is not making any connection with 6^th and/or 9^th houses/lords but the 9^th lord Mars aspect the 6^th lord Saturn who in turn also aspect Mars. Here Saturn as the 6^th lord aspect the 10^th house so the second condition for the career in CA is partially fulfilled.

In Chaturvimshamsha   chart (D-24) Taurus lagna is rising with 2^nd and 5^th lord Mercury  in the 10^th house getting aspect of 7^th lord Mars fulfilling the condition for education in accountancy. Jupiter aspect the 5^th house of education in this Varga chart.

In Dashamsha  (D-10) the Scorpio lagna is rising with 10^th lord Sun in own house getting aspect of 6^th lord Mars. The 9^th lord Moon is in conjunction with 10^th lord Sun and also receive the aspect of 6^th lord Mars. So, the second condition of the Position-Aspect-Conjunction between 10^th (career), 6^th (court cases/law) and 9^th (judiciary) houses/lords is  also completed. He died in Ketu Dasha  and Mercury Anter Dasha  recently in year 2021.

Case 5. Male : Born September 24, 1939 at 4 h. 00 m. at Moradabad (78 E 47’, 28 N 50’), Uttar Pradesh with a balance of 5 years 6 months 7 days of Moon Dasha  at birth.

The Leo lagna horoscope given here is of a very senior Charted Accountant working in a CA firm. He has an experience of more than 50 years in this field. In his birth chart 5^th lord Jupiter is in mutual aspect with 2nd lord Mercury. The 7^th lord Saturn is not making any connection with 5^th and/or 2^nd house in this case. There is an exchange of houses between 6^th lord (law) Saturn and 9^th lord (judiciary) Mars is present.

In Chaturvimshamsha   (D-24) chart Pisces sign is rising with 5^th lord Moon in her own house getting aspect of 2^nd lord Mars and 7^th lord Mercury showing clear yoga for the study of accountancy.

Cas 6. Female : Born November 11, 1990 at 10 h. 28 m. at Chandigarh (76 E 47’, 30 N 44’) with a balance of 17 years 5 months 19 days of Venus Dasha  at birth.

The Sagittarius lagna chart given here is of a young lady who completed her CA course after 5 attempts in year 2016. In her birth chart 5^th lord Mars is in the 6^th house of struggle. Mars aspect the 2^nd lord Saturn and also 7^th lord Mercury completing the connection between 5^th, 2^nd and 7^th houses/lords. Mercury as 7^th lord is in mutual aspect with 5^th lord Mars. And Saturn as the 2^nd lord aspect the 7th house. The 10^th lord (career) Mercury aspect the 6^th house (law). The conjunction of 9^th lord (judiciary) Sun  and 6^th lord (law) Venus is also present in her chart fulfilling the second condition.

She completed her CA course in maha Dasha  of Moon and Anter Dasha  of Rahu in year 2016. In Chaturvimshamsha  (D-24) chart Taurus lagna is rising where Mars as the 7^th lord aspect the 2^nd and 5^th lord Mercury.

Case 7. Female: Born March 27, 1975 at 15 h. 32 m. at Delhi (77 E 13’, 28 N 40’) with a balance of 8 years 3 months 23 days of Moon Dasha  at birth.

The horoscope of female given here is of a CA topper who completed her course in year 2000 when she was pasting under Rahu Dasha  and Mercury Anter Dasha . In her Leo lagna chart there is a beautiful Position-Aspect-Conjunction between 2^nd, 5^th and 7^th houses/lords. See the 2^nd lord Mercury is in the 7^th house and 5^th lord Jupiter aspect the 2^nd house. The 7^th lord Saturn aspect the 5^th house and 5^th lord Jupiter. Now for the career see the 10^th lord Venus in the 9^th house getting aspect of 9^th lord Mars from the 6^th house.

In Chaturvimshamsha  (D-24) chart rising sign is Libra with 5^th lord Saturn exalted in the lagan giving aspect to the 7^th house. The lord of 2^nd (finance) and 7^th (business) is Mars which is in the 5^th house (education) along with Mercury the Karaka for accountancy.

In Dashamsha  (D-10) chart there is a connection between 10^th (career), 6^th (law) and 9^th (judiciary) houses/lords for career in accountancy and taxations. In Virgo lagna Dashamsha  the 10^th lord is Mercury which is in conjunction with 9^th lord Venus in the lagan getting aspect of 6^th lord Saturn.
